Visiting Pearse Lyons distillery has been a highly rewarding experience.
All of the staff have been extremely welcoming, kind and helpful. I was so impressed by them and I want to mention all of them: Sheila, my tour guide, Tracey, the general manager, Martin, the man behind the tuns, the distiller and the man at the reception whose name I’ve forgotten, sorry!
I had pre arranged my tour by e-mail and I was given the chance to have a personal tour out of the regular opening hours. I was warmly welcomed and Sheila guided me with a private tour of great value, telling me the history of the distillery and not only that. She also showed me around and the process of whisky making. Also Martin, the distiller gave me useful technical information. Sheila helped me with the tasting of five selections of Pearse Lyons. They have a great whisky and a marvellous future ahead, I am sure. The distillery’s got a unique and beautiful design and the visit assures an unforgettable experience, especially if you are a distillery addicted. That one is only in its kind. Thank you and I will be thinking of all of you when tasting the selections I bought. Thank you.

Absolutely brilliant distillery experience. Pearse and Deirdre Lyon’s did absolute justice to an amazing church distillery which is steeped in history that’s interesting and insightful to the whiskey, the area, the building and the graveyard.

I totally recommend the experience to all from family tours to whiskey connoisseurs. Thank you to the guide today for the wonderful stories.

Though it is only been in operation since 2013, Pearse Lyons is a unique distillery experience. The whiskey they produce is excellent and the gin is the best I have tasted (admittedly, I am not a gin drinker - but bought a bottle because it was so unique).

But more than the spirits, the location of the distillery is a window into the history of the neighborhood. Dr. and Mrs. Lyon did an amazing job of restoring a beautiful church and giving it a new purpose. Their effort and that of the staff who are passionate about their made the experience into much more than a typical tasting.

My husband and I love whiskey and gin distillery tours on the rare times we can get an afternoon to ourselves. We have done quite a few in Dublin over past few years and must say that even though Pearse Lyons is one of the smaller distilleries in the Liberties area of Dublin, it is very impressive and stands tall amongst its titan competitors.

We were booked on the legacy tour, booked by customer care rep Laura who gave us a warm welcome and a brief overview of how the tour will run while complying with covid health and safety guidelines. We felt very safe and social distancing / hand sanitising was observed throughout the experience without being overwhelming.
Tour had 6 people which was nice. Our guide Sheila was really friendly and really knew her stuff. We learned about the history of the company and the grounds its built on, all really interesting. The graveyard on the site has many fasincating stories of the people buried there and the transformarion of the church into the distillery/museum/shop was very impressive.

We had 5 tasting drinks and they made a lovely fuss over the fact it was our 10th wedding anniversary. It really is little things like that that really makes me want to return in the future with more people. We bought a bottle of their 7 year batch brand to mark the occasion, it was de-lish!

Tour was just over an hour long. Make sure to add this to your list of things to do next time your in Dublin city! :-)

My husband (Irish) and I (American) had the opportunity to tour the Pearse Lyons Whiskey Distillery which is located in a beautifully restored church. It's just gorgeous. Bernard explained the history of the area, church and distillery while James explained the distillation process and gave us the run down on the different whiskies and gin we sampled. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the tour and sampling. They were lovely! When we do have outside visitors we will have to come back!

Absolutely well worth visiting, whether you're a tourist or a local like myself. I learned a lot about the history of the area from Sheila, who is so knowledgeable and passionate about it. Veronica, James and John were all very good with their time, so pleasant and happy to answer any questions at different stages.

The building itself is so gorgeous and worth a visit just to see the fantastic job they've done with it. That's not to mention the main attraction - whiskey! There's a variety of products available to try, to suit all tastes. Don't be put off if whiskey isn't your thing, they do some lovely gin too! Plus they've nice beers available in the shop at the end also.

I'd been meaning to do the tour for a couple of years and am delighted I finally did. It's in the heart of the old city and close to the city centre so is very accessible on foot or by bus. The combination of the tour, the place, the product and the people is perfect!

This charming distillery in the heart of The Liberties is well worth a visit. The introduction video featuring Pearse Lyons, which you watch sipping a whiskey, tells the story of a man who was committed to this project with a fierce passion. The tales from the graveyard ,the history of the church, with its glass steeple and beautiful stained glass windows, and of course the story of how the whiskey is distilled were told by our lovely guide Emily. She was friendly, informative and spoke with the same passion as Pearse Lyons himself.
This passion and pride in their workplace is very evident from the moment you step into the reception area. Veronika the receptionist was very welcoming. Tiernan ,who talked us through the tasting process ,was knowledgeable and very relaxed. Sheila in the shop was friendly and helpful.
All in all a lovely, relaxing tour and run by a team that enjoy their story telling.

My friend and I had a great time at Pearse Lyons distillery! Sheila welcomed us with a sample of whiskey and gave us the history of the distillery and the church it’s housed in and a tour of the church and the adjacent cemetery. After that, John led us in tasting a few whiskeys and their delicious gin. Both Sheila and John were incredibly welcoming and warm, the products were fantastic, and we loved the experience! It was definitely worth doing.
