      Excellent boat trip!
Great way to spend an hour with my wife and 8 year old. We all thoroughly enjoyed it! I’ve lived in Dublin for 20 years and learned lots from the guide that I didn’t know! Darragh was funny and very informative. I would highly recommend!

      History brought to life
Clare, our guide brought history to life with her tales. She ensured that we left the tour with a clearer understanding of Ireland’s famine history. It was clear that it is a real passion to ensure that this part of Irish history is not forgotten. So glad we had the chance to do this tour.

The Jeanie Johnston and a bit of Gaelic language
Highly recommend this tour. We were a group of 6 adults and one 9 year old from the UK, Usa, Ireland, Argentina and France. Our guide Gearoid, gave us a very informative visit and brought to life what it must have been like to cross the Atlantic during the famine. He included everyone and afterwards the visit spend extra time talking about the gaelic language to my daughter who is a linguist, she was delighted, thank you 😊

      Jeanie Johnson tall ship.
I'm from Dublin and took my 6 year old son to see the Jeanie Johnston tall ship yesterday. I had never been before and found the tour amazing. I learned so much from the tour and our guide Gearoid was amazing, he really made the tour. He was brilliant with my son and went out if his way to include him in the tour and explain additional facts about tge ship to my son after tge tour ended. Highly recommended for a day out.

      Don't miss it!
It's definitely an unforgettable experience. Partly because the ship itself is interesting to see, but more importantly because of the story and backgound information you get about the history of Ireland, especially the era of the famine. We had an excellent story teller(Steve), who made sure to make the most of it all.

      Enjoyable cruise
Totally enjoyed this fairly quick cruise on river. Captain and guide made it such a fun trip, was pouring rain and they made it a memorable experience. Saw Dublin from different perspective being on river, also very educational on history of area and buildings.

      The little boat that could
This tour is a fascinating experience that gives you a glimmer of hope in one of the most horrific events to the Irish people. It is guided by a true historian who as a good historian should gets way too passionate about how people acted and his opinion on said actions to keep the tour under 4 hours he passes most of these and truly only gives the highlight in the only boat that wasn't a dump from hell. I would give this tour 4 stars but the creepy dolls bump it to a 5

This is a brilliant tour. The ship and its stories are captivating. Gearoid, our guide, was both engaging and knowledgeable. We learnt a great deal about the causes and effects of the famine and it gave us much to think about. Highly recommended.

Good tourist attraction with great narrative
Greatly enjoyed the 45-minute long experience. Darragh (sorry - likely getting the name wrong) was a fantastic docent. He brought the ship to life with his stories and involved us visitors frequently.

Not enough historical information. Too many negative comments about Dublin itself. The Guide said that he was from Dublin but did not give enough historical information about Dublin and slagged off his native city - not a good vibe. While he mentioned Daniel O Connell and Gandon, it was brief. Did not give any historical context. With regard to the Aviva (previously Lansdowne Rd and the oldest Rugby Stadium in the world) it was only mentioned in passing.
The guide must have mentioned Temple Bar prices at least a dozen times! Extremely disappointing. Some of the American visitors were actually googling information during the tour, such was the lack of historical information provided. I was really embarrassed by the end of the tour!!! Visitors to our country are paying good money for these tours - let's give them value for money.

The tour down the river Liffy was a highlight of our Dublin weekend trip! The crew were really friendly and knowledgeable they were also super funny while telling us all the interesting facts about the river Liffy and Dublin.
They were also super accommodating when we came running to the boat asking if we could come along to an earlier tour due to our schedule having changed. We were able to swap our late afternoon tour to the one going in the early morning instead!
If I come back to Dublin with another group of friends or family I would do this sightseeing tour again, it's well worth the money.
We got some great recommendations about local pubs to visit as well which were great tips, we would have never found those without doing this tour first.

Our guide was great. Very entertaining humorous, and he gave us a lot of history of Ireland. We almost missed our river boat trip. We were told by three people that we would be getting a board near the Arlington Hotel. That was not true. The best way to find the boarding place is to go to the statues that commemorate the people leaving on famine ships.

This cruise tour is just 45 minutes and packs a great deal of local culture and history. The tour guide was amusing and educational and the boat was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, it rained during our reservation time and the windows of the boat fogged relentlessly.

Telling people to "shut up" because they are talking among themselves is disrespectful & offensive. I genuinely & sincerely couldn't believe you did it once never mind twice. They weren't making any noise, especially above the guy with the microphone & speakers presenting the tour. Other than the aggressive attitude from the tour guide on the 15:15 tour on sunday 18th Sept 2022, i enjoyed it

Brilliant way to see Dublin. It was our first visit and I booked this as an alternative to a bus tour.
Was great fun, we learnt a lot and would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to learn about Dublin, its "other" history and its links to the rest of the world through its architecture etc.

You get what you pay for. An inexpensive short excursion. You sit for 45 min out of the rain and learn a bit about the River and Dublin.

The tour guide shooshed a 2 year old innocent baby which was totally uncool but other than that it killed 45 min of the day.

There’s no food, drink, or restroom so you need to wait across the street at EPIC.

This was the first tour I attended after landing in Dublin, and I am pleased that I decided to go with this as my introduction to the city. Friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable tour guide with a wealth of information and passion for the city. Great views, too! I'd highly recommend adding this to your list of sightseeing opportunities.

Arrived 3 minutes late (my fault). Boat was still there, but was told I was too late to get on, which I understood as I was late. However, the boat remained docked for a further 5 minutes after I was told I wasn't allowed on. I think that maybe me not being able to board could have been reviewed. Seemed a bit like the bloke had a bit of a 'control' issue.
I was offered a later time in the day, but being I was only in Dublin for the day, it wasn't possible for me. The alternative time offered was good because that didn't have to be offered. It didn't spoil my day and I understood I was late. However, if the boat isn't leaving for a further 5 minutes, maybe let the person on. I had just got off the bus from the airport. I did explain this.

My husband and I enjoyed our city cruise very much. The ride was comfortable and we felt safe . Our guide was interesting and helped us understand the history of Dublin and the hardships the people of Ireland have endured. The cruise was also useful for us to navigate the city. All in all we were very satisfied
