        Lovely tome
Such a beautiful time and my favorite tour I took while in Ireland. There were 12 of us in a van and only 4 of us went riding. They take you through the Wicklow area on I think shire horses. They’re sweet and even the most novice rider wouldn’t have an issue. Derrick shared so much fun and interesting information through out the drive and stopped at some beautiful places. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see the country side

        Fun Day Touring Wicklow Mountains
The entire day was a big hit. Terrific van ride and our Guide/Driver Linda made sure that everything was fun, informative and just as promised. She was great as was the 8 hour tour. Will tell many friends about Hilltoptreks.

Fantastic Day Trip - Matt was an awesome guide
This was a terrific day trip. Our driver and guide, Matt, was outstanding and passionate about Irish history and culture, so we learned much more subject matter than what was covered specific to our stops. This is also an outing which is less dependent on good weather than other countryside adventures. Highly recommend!

5 Stars for Powerscourt Garden and Glendalough tour
Linda was a wonderful guide! My small group day tour to Powerscourt and Glendalough was amazing! She was incredibly knowledgeable, warm and funny! The day was planned very well, with a stop for lunch in Enniskerry. While it was a bit foggy way up in the mountain top of the Wicklow mountains, there were incredible views over the blooming purple heather and glacial lakes. I highly recommend spending the day in this incredible area, with Hilltop Treks.

Great trip, long day (would have paid same for 1/2 day)
Really well run tours! Matt was our tour guide and bus driver. Really interesting guide with tons of knowledge. The tour at Newgrange and Knowth was amazing! The day could have ended after this tour and gone back to Dublin and I would have happily paid the same amount of money. The abbey and monastic site were interesting, too, but after lunch (and the bus seats are made for people with very short legs) I was ready to head back to Dublin. Just prepare for a long day--bring water and snacks, and prepare for a variety of weather -- we went from rain to wind to bright sun over the course of the day. Highly recommend! I just wish more companies offered half day tours.

It was an incredible tour with an amazing guide (Kevin) who told us interesting facts and stories and beautiful scenery. The horseback riding (1.5h) was really fun as well and the guides really made sure that one felt taken care of.

        Wonders of Wicklow
An amazing day. We were pleasantly surprised with the charm and beauty of the Wicklow area. Wicklow Mountain National Park, The Sally Gap, Lough Tay, the Guinness Lake Glendalough and its 6th-century monastic site. Kevin our guide was great!!

This was a well organized tour with just the right amount of time at each locale. Knowledgeable driver/ guide and local guides at the sites. The sites were amazing and the history fascinating. Highly recommend !!

        Newgrange and Knowth were awesome!
The tour had 24 people on it, despite the website saying there would only be 16 max. The coach was small, but comfortable with USB chargers (but no wifi). The guide, Matt, was awesome -- super nice & entertaining & informative. We spent almost the entire time at Brú na Bóinne and while there we did the tours of Knowth and Newgrange, plus had time for lunch and shopping in the gift shop, as well as looking at this little displays/museum in the visitor center. The 2 sites were amazing and super interesting, lunch was fine, and the displays were pretty meh. We also stopped at Monasterboice and Mainistir Bhuithe which were cool old sites as well.

Be careful when choosing a guided tour.
First I’d like to explain that Kevin gets 5 stars for his job as driver/guide. He ticked all the boxes as far as driving safely, explain sites and answer questions. My issue is the website should explain a little more thoroughly that if you chose a guided tour, that means you won’t be able to see the house or gardens. Maybe I didn’t read thoroughly but I had hoped a guided tour meant of the house and gardens themselves. We were surprised that means you actually miss the house and garden portion of the tour. Also to someone in only fair physical condition the hike is slightly strenuous. I don’t think we were tricked or anything, but am more disappointed that this isn’t explained more thoroughly while choosing this option.

Best Ever Day Tour I Can Recall
Day tour on a small bus, 23 people. Our driver and guide was Matt. He was born in Ireland and he knows Irish and English history. He was full of interesting stories of the long history of Ireland. Matt was the best tour guide I have met in a long time. We got far more than our money's worth with Matt as our guide. I would book another tour with him without a second thought.

Linda was delightful! She provided wonderful history and backstory of Ireland and the places we visited to. The tour was a great amount of time, and we didn't get back to Dublin super late (pickup at 9:20 and back by 5). Each spot was wonderful, and even in the rain it was such a delight. It's not a terrible amount of walking (walking around the Powerscourt gardens, about a 15 min walk to the lake from Glendalough) and we had a good amount of time at every spot. It was well worth it for the stops through the Wicklow Mountains, truly stunning scenery.

We had an excellent day tour with Dermott this past weekend. We are a multi-generational group and everyone had a great time. He picked us up at the hotel and drove us around to all the sites listed on the tour description. He was extremely flexible and gave us options for additional stops as well. He recommended a quick stop in Bray which is a beach seaside town and would've been lovely given the nice weather on our tour day. We decided to hit Bray and it was a great suggestion. On the way home, my daughter ended up getting sick in the backseat but Dermott was extremely accommodating and kind about it. We felt horrible about it but he waved it off and told us not to worry. He was a great guide and a lot of fun to spend time with. Thanks for an amazing tour day! We all enjoyed it.

Last week of August my family and friend spent an absolutely fantastic day with Jillian in Wicklow. Jillian knows lots of stories about the area, each and every path there, her knowledge of Irish flora is amazing.
This is not first time we've been in Wicklow, but this is the first time trip there was do fascinating! Thanks to Hilltoptreks for organising such an adventure for us!

I really can’t say enough positive about our day with Dermot and Hilltoptreks! The pre-tour communications were timely and helpful. Terry, the owner, helped us plan out our day to our specifications, which we really appreciated. Our guide Dermot, was fantastic! He’s a local guy and shared so much history, folklore, and a bit of malarkey! We loved our day with Dermot…the breathtaking sights he showed us, the highest pub he arranged and took us to (the food was amazing). We ended our day with Dermot showing us a few of our top must-see locations in Dublin, including a stop to the local “legendary” Churchtown Stores. The day was everything we had hoped for!

Our guide Gillian was very nice and lovely, was always on time and told us a lot of interesting facts.
I‘ve seen the Powerscourt House & Garden (around 115min there), which are beautiful, I had a great time. After that we stopped in Enniskerry for lunch (45min) and headed into the Wicklow Mountains National Park with a great view and some stopps to take pictures.
In the afternoon we were in Glendalough and had 90min to explore the area with the monastery and two lakes - I could have spent more time there but it was enough to see the second lake, too.
Around 5:15pm we returned to the city. A great experience also for a solo traveller if you don‘t want to drive or rent a car by yourself.

We took this tour with Linda for our family of five. We found her very cordial and informative as she drove us around the countryside and shared information about what we were seeing and her country. We found this trek and driving tour delightful as we saw many sights the normal tourist would have missed. We love Ireland, and thank you Hilltop Treks for a beautiful day.

Our driver/guide Gillian did a very good job. A safe driver that is in no rush. Powercourts is a wonderful place to visit. Amazing gardens. Saw a lot of nice Irish landscape. Goy some private guiding at the ruins from Gillian at Glendalough -for those who didn't walk around the lake.

What a beautiful day touring Wicklow, Powerscourt and Glendalough. Shout out to our tour guide Terry who was very accommodating!! He was extremely knowledgeable. My 93 year old mother LOVED her day and Terry made sure it was easy for her to get around. Terry played the bagpipes for us and was quite good!! It was a day I will always cherish!
