About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- crystal2c0 contributionsGreat tour of Dublin!Noel did a great job of taking me and my husband around Dublin. He shared his vast knowledge of Irish history as well as personal experiences, and made great suggestions for activities and a fantastic lunch. I would definitely book with him again!Written 20 June 2024
- douglase8750 contributionsCancelled without explanationCancelled without explanation. Even after communication with Bradley at Touristy who said everything was perfect, all we got was an email from Viator saying Touristy cancelled. Viator confirmed that Touristy Ireland didn't give them an explanation, they simply cancelled. Viator states that they have processed a refund for the tour, but that doesn't help secure a tour guide in time. The refund hasn't processed with my bank, but it has only been a day and I trust Viator. Just be careful trusting Touristy Ireland to come through. If you are only in town for one day or you were only planning to book one tour, and can't afford to have your tour cancelled without reason, consider booking with someone else. Bradley, if you see this, even if you made up some reason, that would have been better than just clicking "Cancel" on the tour and saying absolutely nothing. The way you handled this felt very much like you gave us the middle finger.Written 8 June 2024
- noag740 contributionsIncredible experience!Noel did an amazing job of showing us around. We visited close to a holiday, which meant that a number of things were closed. Noel went out of his way to make sure we got to see as much as possible.Written 3 January 2024
- Juiceharp0 contributionsA day in Dublin with NoelOur guide Noel went out of his way to tailor our trip to Dublin with our requests, plus his own input and recommendations, which resulted in a magical day exploring the history and beauty of this region. Couldn’t be more pleased.Written 21 September 2023
- Kelly G0 contributionsCustomized full day tour with NoelNoel was our tour guide and he was very easy to understand and talk to. He was full of so much knowledge and went above and beyond helping to make our day special. We got some great pictures and he tailored the day towards our interest. I would highly recommend that you ask for Noel as your tour guide in Dublin!Written 6 August 2023
- barrybisson0 contributionsFun, custom tour of DublinBrian was our guide for this super fun tour of Dublin by car…we highly recommend! Brian put together a custom tour based on our conversation…Dublin Bay, incredible views of Guinness Lake, lunch at Johnny Fox’s pub. Brian added his knowledgeable commentary from Dublin history and recent events. We were able to see what we wanted to see…so each tour can be unique! An added advantage, as a taxi driver he knows every inch of Dublin, and can drive in the special lane for buses and taxis!Written 11 September 2022
- SaskatchewanPolly0 contributionsExcellent tourWe spent the most enjoyable day with Noel. He was informative, flexible and quite humorous! He had excellently recommendations and we thoroughly ghly enjoyed our day. We ran into him the next day while he was touring with other people and he still took the time to greet us like we were old friends. We highly recommend Noel!Written 22 August 2022
- ronaldsR2058JW0 contributionsDublin toutExtremely enjoyable experience with an excellent guide, tailored the tour to our needs and showed us the entire city of Dublin and several suburban areas.Written 11 July 2022
- keihoo0 contributionsExcellent day trip to see the beauty of IrelandI was fortunate to book a day trip with my guide (Noel) on short notice while traveling through Ireland. Noel was exceedingly knowledgable about the landscape and history of the region, and was a very safe driver when driving between the various sites. I would strongly recommend this day trip to anyone wishing to see these beautiful sights!Written 18 March 2022
- angelasD2666IE0 contributionsA must see!Absolutely amazing sights. Our guide was very knowledgeable and informative making this an unforgettable experience!Written 25 November 2021
- hannahlH4930AQ0 contributionsBest tour guide from our entire tripAlan was the best tour guide from our entire month long trip around Europe, Germany and Ireland. This was by far one of my most favorite days from our trip. Alan had so much knowledge and told us many Irish stories and tales. Alan made the extra effort to find and stop at the best places so I could take pictures with my nice camera I brought. Alan is very funny and entertaining. Please book a tour with him because his tour will be one of the highlights of your trip. We not only had an amazing time with Alan but we saw some amazing sights along the way. We only wish we could have spent more time in Ireland with Alan touring us around! I had so many pictures from that day here are a few on my favorites but even the pictures dont do a justice!Written 20 May 2020
- 24arthurj0 contributionsDon't Hesitate: Worth Every Euro!I've been to Powerscourt, Glendalough and through the Wicklows three times before with other companies. This was far and away superior to every other trip. Jimmy was an expert, willing to entertain every question we had ranging from the mundane to the historically and politically significant. He was able to answer each with incredible depth, which truly enriched every minute of the experience. The scenery is undeniably beautiful in its own right, but it was the man driving the van that provided the real color. We were able to stop wherever we wanted to snap a few pics. Skip the big bus tours... this is the way to go! Logistically, every facet was completely seamless. We booked late the night before we wanted to go on the tour. After booking, I contacted the company via the TripAdvisor app to arrange the pick up time and got a response within minutes. Jimmy arrived early, met us in the hotel lobby, and we were on our way without a hiccup. (Thank you, Jimmy. You made our short visit to Ireland very special! Sláinte, Arthur)Written 5 March 2020
- Travel_Beach_Teach0 contributionsterrible communicationI wish I had not booked this through Tripadvisor. The communication was terrible. I had many questions about the tour but was told very little until the last minute, and ended up only going on half of the tour because of what I discovered what it was about. The tour guide we ended up with was great, but I wish I had been told ahead of time what to expect and I would have booked it and planned it a lot differently had I been aware. Next time I will try to go directly through the tour company to book it.Written 24 February 2020
- luciperr0 contributionsGreat tour - highly recommendWe had a great tour with Alan. Powerscourt Gardens was beautiful. The gardens rival the gardens in Versailles! The views at Wicklow are fantastic as well. I would highly recommend this tour. Alan has a wealth of knowledge and a great sense of humour.Written 20 October 2019
- figtraveler0 contributionsHooray for Alan and Touristy! What's so wonderful about Alan is that he finds the right balance between his vast knowledge as a tour guide and our preferences as guests. We felt very taken care of all weekend. We also hired Alan for additional private transport and he looked after us as if we were family. Endless gratitude!Written 27 September 2019

We engaged John C Ducie of John's Tours of Ireland for an 8 day private tour of Dublin, the Boyne Valley, Newgrange, County Kerry, County Carlow and Wicklow Mountains. Our family of 5 were very interested in visiting the known locales of our Irish ancestors in Counties Kerry and Carlow which John enabled.
John is a living, breathing encyclopedia of Irish history, and Ireland's flora and fauna.John filled the many hours of travel with the many accounts of events of critical importance to the story of Ireland: invasions, military battles, cultural battles, English and Gallic influences, and Irish literature. As John is a trained horticulturist and master gardener we also learned a great deal about Ireland's flora and fauna. May I mention music? One of us is a musician specializing in early music and John was quite familiar with Irish Celtic music.
We could not have had a better experience!

Noel was a great guide, suggested a few stops that we could add to the tour. We were a small group and Noel picked us up at our Dublin hotel. In addition to Newgrange we stopped by Howth at Noel's suggestion for a great lunch. Nice area for pictures too! Noel is very knowledgeable and can suggest places to stop based on your interest.

We had an amazing private touring experience with Touristy! Our tour guide for Bru na Boinne was Noel was fabulous, lots of interaction and keeping in mind my husband Celt's passion. Another day we set up another tour to Cliff's of Moher and it was wonderful to be taken to the cliffs through a "back door" entrance with less tourist it was just superb. We also added a third tour to Belfast with Michael a stunning tour guide with lots of passion and knowledge about history plus experiencing the real Game of Thrones filmed location and wonderful scenery, which our teenage liked so much. We were extremely pleased with Touristy, highly recommended.

Hi,
Thank you so much for your kind review. We are so happy to hear you had an amazing time with Noel and our other guide Michael in Belfast. They are two of the best and we were happy that we were able to match Michael with you as he's a real fan of the Game of Thrones. It's great to hear Noel was able to focus on the Celt's history to ensure your husband's interests were catered for.
Thanks again for your high recommendation. It really means a lot.

Words cannot express the overwhelming feelings that rushed through me during this experience! And what added to this experience was the tour guide who made sure she prepared me and even made sure I has a croissant awaiting me. Miriam was chipper, knowledgeable, friendly, and very sweet. She got out to walk with me in the rain 🌧️ up the hill of slane without a blink of an eye. She was down to earth and it’s so great to see this in people today. Nothing flashy just sincerity.
Thanks to Miriam and your tour group for showing me a memorable day!!!!

This company and their employees can’t be topped! Noel our driver was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable about the area and so accommodating about what we would like to see. Noel also gave us two extra experiences—the opportunity to meet a former mayor of the area and tour his genuine thatched cottage, and tour an ancient monastery built around the 1500s as well. The Private tour is definitely the way to go. Most private tours are limited to four people, but we had five, so Bradley at Toutisty Ireland was able to provide a driver and a van to make this tour possible. They want to give you the best experience possible, and Newgrange is not to be missed! Be sure and contact Bradley at Touristy Ireland and DO ask for Noel. This had to be our favorite day out during our trip to Ireland. You won’t be disappointed! Kathryn and Lee Maes

Fabulous tour with Miriam. A large part of our trip to Ireland this time was making it to see New Grange. From the instructions on when to get our tickets (well in advance) to our hotel pickup, history and Q/A and extra sights along the way - this tour was impeccable. Many thanks for helping us check off this bucket list item in truly grand style.

We love visiting ancient tombs so Newgrange and Knowth were on our list. We'd bought tickets on a small group tour but they cancelled two weeks ahead and I am glad we found Touristy and Alan. Alan's knowledge, as noted elsewhere, is immense and he is a terrific guide. We only had a 6-hour tour booked so we skipped Hill of Tara (would have been very muddy) and went to the Battle of Boyne, and Slane Castle -- but Newgrange/Knowth are the main event.

We just returned from Ireland and used Alan as our guide for the Newgrange Tour. As advertised, the tour was flexible, and after visiting Newgrange, we used our time to visit the Battle of the Boyne site and Slane Castle. The countryside was amazing, and Alan was just a great guide. Kept us on schedule, full of knowledge...an outstanding Irish historian, especially on the Rising. Would not hesitate to use him again for any type of Irish touring.
