- nancykX9096TL00A fun place to visitWe enjoyed our visit to the National Wax Museum. There was something for everyone. A trip through Irish history, science history, and folklore offered up a diverse experience. The horror part of the museum was not as scary as some which was fine with me.
- Sally1234500Great day out.Great for kids. At the start there were a few characters which included Ryan Tubridy who all the kids know from the late late toy show! At the entrance the kids had their own stair case which was fun and a real adventure. There were lots of characters that the parents knew but the kids didn’t. Which is the same in most of wax museums I guess! There was a room of lots of presidents around the world and a model of the White House - this was a real hit! There was a ‘haunted’ part that we didn’t do so we can’t comment! The famine and independence war section was brilliant and everyone loved it. Great day out for any age.
- JohnG750400Disabilities clearly not welcome said its my fault basically disrespectfulBuilding not accessible in parts attitude of man behind the counter Rude unhelpful Disrespectful man
- Charis C00Ok but not to be confused with Madame TussaudsVisits to Madame Tussauds museums in different cities made me have higher expectations from a wax museum. Its good to visit if you have time in Dublin but if your time us limited I do not consider it as one of the must seen. Most interesting section the one on Ireland’s history.
- Cruiser6475590912400Surprisingly goodI had a fun time, tons of fun little crawling sections, and i enjoyed the little horror section as well. Pleasently surprised
- Meander6487692075000Amazing placeThe best experience in Dublin. Must to wisit. Worth every penny. The chamber of horrors is the best part. Highly recommended.
- Grudgie0800Enjoyable walk throughVery enjoyable walk through and the combo ticket with rock and roll museum made it good value. Interesting experience and well worth doing the double.
- Theresa C00Not worth 18€In and out within 30 minutes, cost 18€, waxworks look nothing like who they were meant to be. Not suitable for children, a bit scary.
- michelle05201900Okay for half hour to killIt's okay if you have half an hour to kill, reasonably priced and allows you to explore the history of Ireland. Alot of the interactive equipment did not work and not to be co fused with a madam tussards wax museum but a good experience otherwise
- W556HLsamm00It's OK.I somehow didn't see the family ticket option and bought 2 adults and 2 kids tickets at a higher price, the girl at the reception didn't inform me of this and didn't offer a refund of the difference. Its expensive, and not good value the way I booked.
- martin o00Utter rip offVisited today, we were greeted at the desk by a well mannered and nice employee but it was all down hill from here. €55 to walk through a few rooms filled with wax celebrities. The whole thing took about 15 mins. This place is too small, lacks any audience participation, the audio visuals and lighting are terrible. Completely over priced for what it is! Should not cost more than €20 for a family. Don’t visit. This place is a rip off.
- leahcO7972RQ00Murder MysteryCame and played the murder mystery with my work colleagues last month and had a fantastic experience. Thank you to our host Alan for really immersing us all in the mystery and for just being the absolute gent he is. A lotta laughs and a lotta fun all round, thanks again Alan and all involved! :)
- 118trevorw00Money trapIt was grand but a bit expensive for what it is. 18 euro a ticket. First floor was meh unsure if the screens where ment to work they where not so just info. Felt like it was a money trap as in the horror part there was one of the guys on a chair. To make him scream you had to pay an extra to euro. Like paying extra for some of the things to work after you paid to get in? The wax hand is cool but more money. Don't get me wrong it's nice for tourists but would be nicer if the price was not bad and things where included instead of paying extra when you're in
- Nathan Z00Strange but not badTo summarise what there is: some random iconic figures such as the Simpsons, some historic Irish figures, a mirror maze, some jump scares and gory along the horror part... and a gift shop. Right, so, if this doesn't sound interesting to you then it might not be worth the 15 euros (or similar) per person. Having said that, after paying and moving past the first room (which offered information about amazing Irish inventions such as the stethoscope -but had an underwhelming and generic feel to it overall which was some part due to the fact we thought it was the only room) you see quite a lot and it's quite fun and interesting. The wax figures of recognisable characters are of course mildly exciting. Eyes and hair -to name a couple of features- really compared to those on human beings and it was quite creepy frankly. After passing through the main wax figure area, we then were greeted with a mirror maze which is a change of scenery and bit of fun in my opinion. Following this, we entered the horror section. If you were to tell me you didn't get scared at all I'd be skeptical. Although it was to be expected after a short time in there, characters jumping out could still give you a fright. Finally, the gift shop offered some usual tacky kids toys and also some typical touristy souvenirs -which is not bad. It was fairly varied and had some interesting items. Not much better than any other gift shop at this kind of place. All in all, I think it's worth a visit. There's some history lessons scattered around this otherwise silly bit of fun. Good trip!
- Adri P00Worth visiting when your travel time is not limited. If you have limited time I would not necessarily recommend to visit. But, the overall experience was good, I loved the demonstration of the history with the display set-up.

Our visit to the Wax Museum in Dublin was a unique and enjoyable experience that offered a twist on traditional wax museums. What set this museum apart was its blend of entertainment, education, and a touch of science and technology.
Inside, we encountered a diverse array of wax figurines, some of which were instantly recognizable celebrities, while others were intriguing discoveries. Although the realism of the figurines varied, they still provided great photo opportunities and added to the overall fun. The fact that some were animatronic added an exciting element to the visit, making the figures come to life in a way we hadn't expected.
One of the highlights was braving the horror walk, a spine-tingling experience that had me holding onto my boyfriend's hand for dear life. It was genuinely scary but undeniably a lot of fun, and we couldn't help but laugh at our own reactions afterward.
If you happen to have the Go City Pass, as we did, I would definitely recommend including the Wax Museum in your itinerary. It's a delightful blend of entertainment and a touch of the unexpected, making it a worthwhile stop for a unique Dublin experience.

Absolute pile of Over priced and poor quality displays. The characters are extremely dated and don't look like the original. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have your head blown in by a Black and Tan for the ideal photo opportunity shouldn't really be working in tourism.

The Dublin Wax Museum is a lot more than a wax museum: it's a full on experience in which you can learn about science, history, folklore and modern times.
Not only the figures are very well done, the setup in which they are display completely takes you to the environment where you get a much richer experience, as a lot more information is provided.
It's, for sure, the work of an absolute genius who not only shares this offer with the world, he also acknowledges the life and work of many Irish people who made a difference in their area.
Not only you will enjoy the visit, you will learn a lot.
Fantastic! Thank you!

A wonderful hour spent in Dublin. The Dungeon - optional but included in the ticket price - is only for hard-boiled children, my daughter (7) loved it. The staff is very friendly and helpful, a small shop is at the beginning/end of the tour.

This was such a fun and interactive experience. The wax figures were very realistic and in a way creepy. I had so much fun looking at famous people I and characters I knew. The gift shop had lots of toys, trinkets, and souvenirs.

If you’ve got the spare money and you’re looking for a laugh then I’d recommend it but don’t go in expecting it to be on the same level of Madame Tussaud’s. Jedward are thrown in there with Starwars characters and George Best is scarily close to a Teletubbie. The Father Ted room was our highlight and we think they’ve got plans to add more characters from the show. The Irish history section is pretty good too if that’s your thing. Overall we we left feeling like it was a bit overpriced considering there are other attractions in Dublin within the same price bracket that are far better value for money.
