Tour was a perfect combination of information, humour, tasting, and group and tour guide interaction - all done in a nice time frame, not too long, not too short.
Our tour guide was Molly, she was amazing, very engaging, knowledgeable and funny. She had the group interact with the room in a non pressured way, was very light, short and funny, exactly what you need to ease you into a tour. Loved her way of telling the Jameson story, made it very interesting.
The tasting section was done very well and serious value for money. You'll get 3 full shots of different whiskeys followed by a free drink at the end with either ginger ale or soda water, more than making your money back on the ticket.
Thoroughly recommend the tour, its a little over half an hour, you learn quite a bit, and plenty of drinks at it which will leave you feeling buzzed afterwards to enjoy the rest of your day.
Special thanks to Molly as I wouldnt normally do distillery or brewery tours but this was the best Ive done so far, thanks to how engaging she was

I am an Irish whiskey lover and i don't love touristic traps.
as i arrived in Dublin I asked around, to locals which was the best distillery to visit, and most of the people directed me to Jameson.
I decided to go for the tour by myself, but in the end, I found myself there with an amazing man, who wanted to share this experience with me.
The Jameson atmosphere worth the whole tour, money and whatever it takes you to get there, is fully in line with the whole Irish mood, magical and crazy.
The tour was great, full of information and very dynamic, our guide was lovely, full of energy and inspired. The explanations on the distillation process together with the tasting was great, it really gives you a bit of knowledge on whiskey and it's very interesting.
Once the tour ended, we spent some great time at the bar, an amazing place, structured between the ancient distillery style and the modern drinking bar, a cuddling atmosphere nobody can resist to. I went out and i couldn't avoid to look at my man in a different way, was it Jameson or something else?

We booked onto the Bow Street Experience tour on Jan 1st. It was an amazing interactive and informative tour but the guide Liam really made this experience. His passion was clear and his voice was amazing plus he added the perfect amount of fun to all the information he was providing us. You don’t want to let go of him.

We greatly enjoyed the Jameson's tour, it was timely, organized and informative. Our guide, Sinead, had a lovely Irish accent and spoke clearly and a great pace so that everyone could hear her. With the tour you get three whiskey tastes and also a coupon for a free drink at the bar in the lobby. You can get your drink and take it on the tour or wait until after.

Kayleigh was such a great tour guide!
All the important things you need to know about the history of Jameson, how's it made and how to taste whiskey. And all this information in only about 30 minutes!
Thanks to Kayleigh we had a blast. Although we were a group mixed with lots of not English speakers, she actually did speak very fast. But her jokes were the best, picked individuell for our group. She made ourselves feeling comfortable by letting us introduce ourselves at the beginning of the tour. That made it easier for all of us to get a hang off how well known the Jameson whiskey actually is.
Thanks again Kayleigh for such a nice informative tour!

Never before in my years of drinking whiskey have I ever had such an experience. The building has been meticulously restored to provide a modern space for visitors to feel comforting whilst retaining the charm and history of the building since its construction.
Kayleigh our host was very knowledgeable, friendly, witty and charming in equal measure. The tour provided me with an insight into the distillation and manufacture of Jameson whiskies and explained in depth how they accomplish the balance of flavours and body.
The entire hour flew by leaving me with a thirst for more. I can highly recommend this tour to novices and whiskey aficionados alike. Where else can you get 4 excellent whiskies for €30 in Dublin. Don’t deliberate just go!!

I have thought long and hard about leaving this review and what to write but honestly the only good thing I can say about this was our guide Sebastian!!!
Really not worth the 26euro per person we paid for this and despite being a massive lover of Jameson Whiskey, I/we left very underwhelmed!!!!
You definitely have to read the full description carefully before booking as this is not an active Distillery and is really only a history lesson. There is not even very much to prove that it was an active Distillery.
Staff weren't especially friendly or helpful and compared to other "Distillery" tours, the gift shop was lacking!!!

We did the Jamesons tour right off the back of a visit to the Guinness Storehouse and it may be controversial but we both preferred the Jamesons tour. Our guide was great and really bought the story to life with his enthusiasm throughout all 3 sections. Of course the tasting room was the highlight of the tour and I think Jamesons crested was the favourite. The bar is a great place to chill out after the tour and if you’ve got the spare cash we’d highly recommend grabbing another drink the bar staff all seemed really friendly and the prices on drinks all seemed pretty standard considering. If you’re a whisky lover this tour is a must!

It was so much fun, my guy really liked it. They basically put on a show telling you how whisky is made. Very interactive. Also ya get a drink at the end, I recommend the ginger lemon drink with the whisky if your really a whisky drinker. It was very good.

There was to the best of my knowledge no age restriction. However, my daughter was required to prove she was legally old enough to drink alcohol before she was permitted to take part in the tasting part of the tour.
Hope this helps you

What is the price for over 65? I am only seeing a price for 18-64. How do you get tickets for those older sightseers
John R
Columbus, OH45 contributions
Our tour was a gift from my local bar through the Liquor Sales group for Jameson. However, if you go to the site and choose by a ticket for the Experience tour, it shows €18 for seniors and Starting at €17 for the public. The key is when you go. If it is the the morning, you can get the 17 rate. If you want to go in the afternoon, the rate goes to 22 for adults, but the senior rate is 18 throughout the day.
Hi can you arrive at anytime for a tour?
Molly3693

There is specific times for the tours. But we did not pre-book a tour. We just showed up and got on the next available “bow st experience tour” which happened to be starting in 5 minutes. We might have just gotten lucky though, so if you do know the approximate time you want to go, maybe pre-book your tour online.

Are children with their parents allowed on the tour (age 15)?

We did the Bow Street Tour which explains the distilling process and children were allowed on this tour at a reduced rate - obviously they are not allowed to taste the product, but they can watch, see, smell and feel the grains and the process. Other tours are available but I don’t know whether children are allowed to participate.
By the way, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and I am now a whiskey convert!
