- robertsK757HI00Sublime, Fun and So Great!Without exception, if you love history, storytelling and whiskey, this tour and Grainne is the winner-hands down. Funny, so interesting and so much about Irish history, a highlight so far. My wife and I met another couple on the tour. Can t wait to buy some duty free Irish whiskey at the airport on our way home.
- Elsie19700Very Nice ExperienceWe were introduced to some fine whiskeys that we were not familiar with. We also found the pub choices to be very nice, plus, we were able to seclude our group from the other patrons. The guide was very knowledgeable and personable. The food pairings were also very good. The only complaint was that the pour at the last pub was barely a taste where we felt we got our money’s worth at the first two pubs.
- michaelm39800Amazing whiskey and food with historical perspectiveI had this tour planned on my first day in Dublin and I'm very happy I did. Grainne was an incredible guide. She was very knowledgeable, incredibly friendly, and food an amazing job keeping us happy and entertained. Oh and the food and the whiskey were incredible too. I definitely recommend the tour!
- donnamariek201700Amazing tour..a must do!We done the Dublin Wine and tapas tour last weekend and although my mum and I were the only 2 in the group we were not disappointed. Hannah our lovely tour guide was amazing, it felt like we were having food and drinks with a friend..thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and all of the history on the city. Food and wine were amazing..would definately recommend this tour
- TrailBlazer29866300Great evening in DublinThank you to Lara our wonderful guide! We had a great night and enjoyed some delicious food and drinks. A friend told us about this tour and it was well worth it. My sister and brother in law were delighted to discover some hidden gems in their home town. Lara was so friendly and genuine. Thanks again!
- maggievictorin00Very informative and very friendly. Our tour guide was amazingly knowledgeable about different local facts which is amazing! We had our food served promptly when we arrived to each of the three locations. Only about a 10-15 minute walk between locations; we had a mixed group up to retired folks age and they were ok so nothing too far or exasperating. Would definitely do again!
- cgvb400The greatest story you’ve never heard.Powers has been the hidden gem of Irish whiskey, and the Powers Quarter tour, led by Michael Carr, only further proves that. His passion for the brand, his in depth knowledge of the history, the signature serves and the wonderful bars all serve to showcase Ireland’s finest whiskey. Highly recommended.
- Kazzairl000000Perfect evening out in DublinCouldn't think of a nicer way to meet people, eat great food and enjoy walking around Dublin. Our guide was amazing and had fantastic anecdotes about Dublin. Will definitely do it again and bring a different bunch of people
- 452rebekahr00Dublin Whiskey TourOver Saint Patrick's Day weekend, Paul and Niamh hosted our party of ten for a customized whiskey/food tour. They took us to places we never would have known about, i.e., the hidden bar between the barbershop and Market Bar, ensured that we had a variety of great whiskey to taste, and great food to accompany the tasting (oysters by special request)! We had a wonderful time touring the Powers Quarter with Paul and Niamh. Paul and Niamh were funny, informative guides with great insight into the history of Powers Whiskey, and the city of Dublin.
- 664waltert00....as good as it gets.Took the tour in January. We were lucky it was a bright evening. We began with the most delicious Irish coffee in The Oak, from there we were taken through a wormhole in space to a realm of nostalgia, sadness, good times and all things Powers whiskey. Michael is a stellar whiskey ambassador and a passionate guide. We visited the Thomas house, Fallon's, The Swan and finally Idlewild. Great pubs and delicious drinks.
- Barbara W00More Power to Your ElbowWhat a wonderful experience. We visited the original site of distillery now housing the National College of Art and Design where the original (at the time state of the Art) buildings are still, excuse the pun, in place. We tried this uniquely Irish whiskey in several very different pubs sometimes in cocktails sometimes on its own, and a wonderful amazing Irish Coffee. Each a delight in itself. From obviously “local” pubs with dedicated customers to city centre well heeled fashionable cocktail bars. Each location had its own story in the long history of Powers, from the Great Fire of Dublin, the birth of the miniature bottle that is now in every hotel minibar, yep folks Powers whiskey pioneered this and was the first distillery in the world to bottle its whiskey. Powers and Dublin are intrinsically linked in this tour. Favourite place was The Swan Bar drinking the wonderful full bodied creamy Powers Johns Lane whiskey while looking out on a misty wistful Dublin afternoon. Loved the Dublin Toasty too. Our guide was the vivacious Neeve and next time I raise a glass I’ll use this new salutation “More Power To Your Elbow”
- Eamonn M00Great Experience!A tour mixing rich history with premium whiskey, what a delight. Tour was at a lovely pace where we absorb the Dublin landscape before sampling some of it's great whiskey. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.
- ScIrishAl00Great craixCan’t recommend this more highly. I get back to Dublin a couple of times a year and sometimes have some non Irish friends/family with me and when I do it’s great to bring them along on something like this. You get to learn a bit about history in Dublin you didn’t know, taste some great whisky and have some great craic with the tour guide and everyone else on the tour.
- 64rhyst00Great afternoonGreat afternoon spent learning about Dublin with Justine. The food was awesome and it was nice to learn about Dublin along the way. There was plenty to eat and drink and didn't feel hungry at all at the end of it. Loved Justines Irish sense of humour and would recommend it to anyone!
- Michael D00The weather couldn't dampen our spirits!I scheduled my tapas trail for possibly the rainiest day we've had in Dublin since the previous Winter! While the thought did cross my mind to ditch the wellies and reach for my slippers instead, I braved the elements and was very glad I made the effort. Jill (out tour guide) was super friendly and enthusiastic throughout and shared insights into local Irish history, hidden gems, and other potential sights to explore that, even as a native Dub, I was unaware of! Her passion for food, history & people was clearly evident. The food & drink we experienced along the way was delicious and varied. The rain was barely even noticed. I'd definitely recommend the tapas trail if you're looking to spend a few hours experiencing Dublin with a native's insight and enjoying some tasty food along the way.

This tour included 3 stops... and in comparison to other similar tours, did not provide value for money. The time management was poorly orchestrated and as the tour guide operator was trying to kill time, he had us wait outside in the rain. The food choices were OK but nothing unique or providing insight into the special city of Dublin. The tour guide was inexperienced and did not provide for an enjoyable afternoon. All in all, I would not select this tour.

This was an excellent way to start our trip in Ireland. There wasn't too much walking, and the food was delicious at all of our stops. Our tour guide was wonderfully welcoming and gave us recommendations as to where to go for food and/or drinks following the tour. It was a great practice in immersing ourselves into the culture of talking with strangers and making friends in the pub scene. It can be intimidating being in a new country and not knowing anyone, but this experience fostered a new appreciation for taking a step and introducing yourself to someone you may not know.

I have recently become a convert to walking food tours at new destinations, and this food tour is a perfect example of why. This tour is well-planned with scrumptious stops amongst a background of stories, history, and culture. Gráinne is a fantastic guide, tells riveting stories, and gives excellent recommendations throughout Dublin and along Clare, Doolin, and Galway, which were our other stops of ours! 10/10 would recommend, would definitely do it again.

This was my favorite activity we did in Dublin. Grainne was a very informative, funny, and hospitable guide. This was a progressive dinner food tour of sorts that started with appetizers at a restaurant, mains at another, and dessert at the last. We got drink pairings at each stop and got to have an immersive experience and make our own Irish coffee. This was an amazing experience and worth the money!

Fantastic food tour! Our guide Danny was excellent! He provided so much information about the food and culture in Ireland as well as the history behind some of the more famous dishes. He was friendly and down to earth and shared some great stories along the way. The food was delicious at each place from the appetizers all the way to the Irish coffee (which we learned how to make properly!). This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland and would recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin! A fun and delicious experience!

We visited in February 2023 and had a great time. Ann was an incredible tour guide with lots of recommendations, and showed us new parts of the city that we had not seen before. The food and drink was also delicious.

This tour is an ABSOLUTE must. It was fun, relaxing, with excellent food selections, and an extremely knowledgeable tour guide. Gavan O'Conner-Duffy (can you get more Irish than that?) was a wealth of information and offered numerous suggestions and recommendations for the remainder of our Dublin adventure. My daughter Jennifer and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and we highly recommend this tour to anyone spending time in Dublin. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We LOVED this tour! All the food was amazing - be sure to show up hungry! It was about 3 hours long and we made 3 stops - it felt like we kept moving at a good pace while not feeling rushed. We appreciated the drink pairing options with our food. It's a full meal, you will NOT leave disappointed or hungry; you get your money's worth! Our tour guide was awesome: extremely nice, funny, knowledgable and helpful. She provided historical context and great recommendations that we then used for the remainder of our trip. We would do it again! Very, very highly recommend this tour!

Loved everything about this tour. Dan has fantastic knowledge about Dublin, Ireland, culture, etc. that he weaves in while talking about the food. The quality and quantity of food was excellent, we loved the places, and he offers three choices at each location which was a nice touch. We're recommending to all our friends.

What a great tour. Our guide, Justine, was super friendly, extremely knowledgeable and introduced us to some great restaurants and Irish food. I liked how she also told us a lot about the history of Ireland/Dublin, about Irish Whiskey and Gastropubs. She also took us down some side streets that we wouldn’t have found otherwise. The food tour took us to The Boxty House, The Oak and The Rag Trader restaurants. In a nutshell, we had appetizers at Boxty (pretty tasty, to include their own brewed beer), our main dish at The Oak and dessert at The Rag Trader. Our food was really good overall, with a couple of choices at each spot.
Overall, I’d give this tour 4.5 stars. The only thing I’d add is maybe a forth stop, at the beginning, for a cocktail (although each stop did contain some type of beer or liquor). Justine was outstanding. I’d definitely recommend this tour.
