Wicklow Day Trip with Guided Walk Including Glendalough Tour from Dublin
US$41.61
Overview

You don’t need to hire a car to experience the Irish countryside! This guided day trip from Dublin to Wicklow Mountains National Park encompasses many of County Wicklow’s most beautiful views, without you ever having to find a parking spot, stop for gas, or check your phone for directions. And, you’ll learn all about local plants and wildlife as you walk through the national park with your friendly guide.

What to Expect

Meet your guide and small group in central Dublin for the scenic drive south to County Wicklow and the Wicklow Mountains National Park. Here you’ll spend about 90 minutes exploring the Spinc ridge with your guide, following the Dublin Mountains Way through lush woodland for spectacular views.

After a stop in the Victorian village of Enniskerry, used as a filming location in P.S. I Love You, comes one of the most scenic portions of the route. Enjoy plenty of photo stops as you travel through Wicklow Mountains National Park, Glencree, Lough Tay, the Guinness Estate, and Sally Gap.

Finally, you’ll arrive at Glendalough, the tranquil valley best known for its sixth-century monastery founded by St. Kevin. Take a walk, relax, and see the sights before your driver brings you back to Dublin by a different—but also picturesque—route.

Guided walking tour

Great, really enjoyed seeing as much as we did and the light hiking up the hill and visit to view Loch Tay and the movie site. Enjoyed the visit to Glendalough also.

I’m very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the tour ... by the sounds of it there seem to be some people that are late and Eamon decided to go back for them even though he wasn’t required to which caused the time...More

Blanket Bogs are Breathtaking!

I really enjoyed the blanket bogs with heather in full bloom blowing in the breeze and spectacular Lough Tay with the "Vikings" set. The hike in the morning ,led by Bill, went straight uphill and was pretty intense. I stopped shy of the top and...More

Great tour through the Wicklow Mountains and Glendalough for those who doesn't have much time !

We hade a great time visiting the region with our amusing guide Robert. We did some light hiking and visited beautiful sites with a lot of information on history and curiosities. I recommend and would certainly do another tour with Hilltop Trecks !

We loved our trip to the Wicklow mountains. The area is very beautiful even though we could not see from the top of our hike as it was cloudy and raining. Still it was great to get out and see the countryside and we soon...More

We were picked up at 9:35 a.m. and were back in City Centre Dublin around 6 p.m. (a little later than scheduled due to rush hour traffic.)
