What to expect
Meet your guide and small group in central Dublin for the scenic drive south to County Wicklow and the Wicklow Mountains National Park. Here, enjoy a guided walk around the Scalp, an area overlooking the Irish coastline. Absorb the atmosphere of deciduous woodland and panoramic views of the Irish countryside. Follow part of the Dublin Mountains Way trail, stopping at scenic viewpoints where you can enjoy views of the Wicklow Mountains National Park, the Dublin and Wicklow Coastline, as well as Dublin city and its surrounding areas. After a stop in the Victorian village of Enniskerry, used as a filming location in 'P.S. I Love You,' comes one of the most scenic portions of the route. Enjoy plenty of photo stops as you travel through Wicklow Mountains National Park, Lough Tay, the Guinness Estate, and Sally Gap. Finally, arrive at Glendalough, the tranquil valley best known for its 6th-century monastery founded by St. Kevin. Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely tour that showcased some of Ireland's prettiest landscapes! Our tour guide was Richard who was friendly and also very well informed about the history surrounding the sites we visited. He also even had a lot of facts about the plants we encountered on the guided walk! You got a good amount of time at each site we visited and I felt like we got our value for money. Would recommend as a great way to see some of the more out-of-the-way sites without having to drive around yourself and getting to learn along the way!

Jillian was a wonderful guide for this exceptional experience! Although wet and rainy, we thoroughly enjoyed our day exploring the Wicklow Mtns, Glendalough and St. Kevin’s monestery. The guided walk was not overly strenuous…just make sure you have boots or sneakers with some tread, as some areas can be a bit slippery if wet. Time spent at each site was perfect… we did not feel rushed. Jillian was entertaining, very knowledgeable, warm and friendly. Our group size was perfect at 14. Highly recommend!

Great variety of activities; some in our group chose horseback riding and the gardens, while most of us took the guided walk. Our guide taught us a lot of history, ecology, and fun facts about the region. Very open to questions and info requests. We got to see the beautiful woods, lakes, and peat bogs of the Wicklow Mountains, enjoy the monastery, and had good food as well!

Had the most amazing time! Johnny was our guide and not only was he extremely knowledgeable, but he brought an amazing sense of humor as well. He showed us some amazing sites, picture points, and taught us about the history of the area. If you are lucky enough to get Johnny for your guide you are in for a treat!

Excellent choice to see Irish country side. Powerscout gardens are amazing. Our guide Matt was very informative, gave a lot of interesting information . You can see that he really cares that the group gets the most of the trip. For me the best part of the trip was the drive through Wiklow mountains among the heather fields . Would highly recommend the tour and the guide as well.

This was honestly one of the best tours I've ever been on. The views and the historical locations were so beautiful and super interesting. Practically every part of the tour i wanted to stay there and never leave. Our tour guide was super informative and a wonderful Irish gentleman that kept you on your toes with both his irish humor and wonderful stories. I honestly would love to reverse time and go on this tour again just to hangout and see these locations again. Nevertheless, they shall remain a wonderful memory for the rest of my days until I go explore myself someday.

We chose the guided walk through the Wicklow mountains. From everyone in the bus my husband and I were the only two that went for the walk. It really was very interesting and nice! Richard was our chauffeur and guide and he did it so well! We couldn’t wish for a better guide than him. He told us interesting stories and seemed to be very passionate and enthusiastic in his job. We also didn’t had the feeling of tourists walking after a guide. It was more like tourists who had a walk with a local with a passion for his country.
Amazing! We will never forget it!

Thank you for a great day out. We really enjoyed the day trip! Gillian, our tour guide, was knowledgable with a friendly and relaxed style. Great balance of walking, lunch rest stop and places of interest for a multi generational family group. We learnt loads about St. Kevin’s monastic site and the miner’s village.

Loved walking with Terry. Terry knows the Dublin Wicklow mountains like the back of his hand and his relaxed leadership style makes for a great day out leaving you to enjoy the views and good company. I would definitely recommend Terry and look forward to more hikes in the hills in the future.
