The whole setup was designed perfectly and thoroughly enjoyed my time. Meet new people who are now good friends and couldn’t recommend it enough. Ireland is so beautiful and this allows you to see it all with the great hosts at the front adding comedy and fun.

Must see trip on this tour to Cliffs of Moher!
What a trip with Paddywagon Tours. Bus was clean and comfortable. Charging ports in front of you in the seats. Enough time to hit the Cliffs of Moher, Castles, Galway Bay, etc. long day from Dublin, but so worth it. Driver was funny and grand!

      A must when visiting Ireland
This tour met all expectations. Blarney castle and the gardens are lovely! We also kissed the Blarney Stone. Our stop in Cork was wet but we had a delicious lunch.

      Amazing place
Great tour with Paddywagon. Our guide looked after us well and was very friendly. Giants Causeway was amazing and as it was February was pretty quiet. We came back via Belfast, only a short stop there but long enough to have a quick look around or have a coffee before the drive back to Dublin.

Wonderful way to spend a morning in Ireland!
Eduardo was really awesome! We had a relatively small and intimate group of people in a smaller bus (the morning after St. Patrick's Day) and Eduardo was a fantastic driver and tour guide! Glendalough was remarkably beautiful! I enjoyed my high-speed hike to see both lakes and wandering through the monastery! Highly recommend!!

      Great tour staff, terrible administration
To start I would like to say that if my tour was exclusively about my tour guide Michael, and my driver Carl it would be a glowing 5 star review. Michael was incredibly knowledgeable and fun. We enjoyed hearing everything he knew about our many stops. Carl was an excellent driver even as this tour goes through scenic routes with more winding roads than other tours. We really enjoyed our experiences with them. However, our day was seriously impacted by poor administrative decisions than affected Michael, Carl, and every other passenger on our day tour including my group. I booked this specific tour because we liked how long it gave the passengers in Galway. There was a lot we wanted to see and do here, but a day tour was all we could fit into our schedule for the week. However, we ultimately lost an hour of this promised time. At the beginning of the day, the importance of timeliness was rightfully emphasized to us. Dublin has very strict rules for bus/transit drivers about how far they can drive in a day, how many breaks they need based on distance/time travelled etc. it was made clear to us that any delays would ultimately impact the time we spend at each stop. Then, 20 minutes into our drive, our guide received a call that there were two passengers that the administrative team neglected to put on our guide’s passenger list that our van had to turn around and go pick up. This added nearly an hour of drive time, in addition to distance on our drivers monitor. I find it extremely hard to believe that our van turning around to get them was Paddywagons only option. It seems that this decision was made exclusively to save the company’s money, even knowing that it would DEFINITELY impact our schedule for the rest of the day. This time ended up being taken from the longest stop, Galway. The tour’s itinerary states and 2.5 hour stop here. We got 1.5 hours. Ultimately I find this decision unfair to myself, the other passengers, and to our driver and guide who were discussing if they could even make it to the bus garage with the remaining time and distance our driver had. This decision did not consider AT ALL the money that the passengers on the bus spent for the day, or the comfort of passengers. It is already a long day in the van and we had nearly an hour added to that time for no good reason. I did reach out to the company for some form of compensation, and all they offered was 10% off another tour. We were no longer even in the country by the time this offer was sent. If my review was down exclusively to the administrative actions of the company it would be 1 star. However, the incredible services Michael and Carl rendered despite the frustrating corner they were backed into by their employers saved one star.

Frank and Paddywagon tours trip to Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle
Frank was excellent! He was knowledgeable, entertaining, and a great driver. He was transparent about traffic in Cork due to its St Patty’s day parade and gave us extra time at Blarney Castle which I appreciated.

      Don't miss Rock of Cashel
Don't miss a trip to Rock of Cashel!! I liked this stop better than Blarney Castle. We have all heard of Blarney, and when in Ireland, we all go there but I had never heard of Cashel. What a bonus that was!! It was the highlight of this tour for me. All photos are of Rock of Cashel.

Unfortunately I can't recommend this tour to many people.

On day one we travelled down to Blarney Castle and Gardens with a short stop at Rock of Cashel. Rock of Cashel was really nice and the stop was long enough to have a look at everything.
I can't say the same for Blarney. If you want to go there just for the Blarney Stone, it'll be fine and you'll have enough time. If you plan on seeing more than just the castle and a fraction of the gardens, you'd have to spend more time there. After that we headed down to Cork and got dropped off at our Hostel or at the Hotel. The Hostel was "Sheila's Hostel" and despite some critical reviews on Google my experience was good and I felt comfortable throughout. JJ was our driver that day, he talked a lot and was fairly entertaining but not extremely informative.

On day two our goal was the Cliffs of Moher, where we spent 90 minutes. It was enough time to to walk up and down some of the trails and have a quick look at the museum too -- I thought it was great :)
The itinerary promises a lot more of a "roadtrip" afterwards but most things were just mentioned by our driver, Paul, in a sentence and then we moved on. The Wild Atlantic Way, Galway Bay, The Great Famine or Black Head was not mentioned and we did not see it (or passed without knowing it) -- that was disappointing, I was looking forward to it.
The second stop at Bunratty castle had potential. We got there at 2:50pm and left at 5pm: plenty of time to look at the castle and the park -- or so you'd think. We were told we shouldn't go into the castle, because we had to be back by 3:40pm. So we didn't go in and were at the bus at 3:40pm. There we were told we won't leave until 4:30pm. So we went back to waiting. At 4:30pm we were told we actually weren't gonna leave until 5pm. I think poor communication and unlucky timing both played equal parts here.

I'm glad I booked the Backpacker option, because 300$ wouldn't have been worth this trip. To finish off on a good note: The evening in Cork was very lovely and I think everyone enjoyed their stay there. Also we got really lucky with the Cliffs of Moher, we had perfect weather, barely wind and clear skies! Lunch was also really good, well organised and quick (price is not included in the tour, but there were affordable options).

If your main goals are to see the Cliffs of Moher and the Blarney Stone, book this tour, it will be a good fit! My expectations were higher after reading the itinerary.

We really enjoyed our two day tour of the Blarney Castle and Cliffs of Moher. The tour was interesting, well planned and the guides were excellent (Cash one day and Joe the next). The tour buses were clean and comfortable. I would have given five stars but our stay at the ‘B&B’ in Cork wasn’t great.. the establishment wasn’t clean and I had asked for two beds in advance, as I was traveling with my father, and ran into trouble when we arrived and were given one double bed for the two of us. Thankfully, it was resolved but it wasn’t without effort and refusing the room. If I would have known we were being put in a 1 Star accommodation, I would have booked the tour differently.. two separate day tours and the accommodation on my own. I reached out to Paddywagon and received a response three weeks later saying they are working on this issue. So if there is an issue, customer service doesn’t respond quickly. There was also no offer to makeup for the inconvenience and unpleasant stay. Based on this experience, I would recommend this tour group but would hesitate to book anything where they are in charge of the accommodation. Next time I go to Ireland I’ll look into the one day tours only.

I really enjoyed this trip. I am glad we did the two day tour and got to stay overnight in Cork. We especially loved the Cliffs of Moher. The bus drive home was too long. We went out of our way to switch buses.

The overall experience was poor. The 2 day tour is not recommended. You are switched between 3 buses, which was not known previously. The hotel in Cork was extremely poor quality, hostel quality (spiders on the ceiling). The itinerary was changed compared to the description. We did not have the opportunity to see Bunratty castle and village due to bus changes and lack of time - not sure why it is on the schedule if there is no time to see it (if you decide to see it, entry free is NOT included in tour cost). Lunch at the Frantic Chef was 5 out of 10. Throughout the tour, we were not allowed to bring food on bus, and not enough time to grab and eat at the stops. Basically choosing between eating and touring!

Overall, I would not recommend a 2 day tour. Rather do day trips, but note that the trip from Dublin to the south or west is a long drive so be prepared.

The good…if you go to Cork, eat at Mayne’s (Pembroke street)…great place for cocktails and food. If you go to Bunratty, save time to grab ice cream and food, very good.

A friend from Dublin recommended Paddywagon Tours for our upcoming Ireland visit and we trusted him fully, booking 4 trips with Paddywagon. This was such a great experience and I can not recommend them enough. The buses are super comfy and you can rest or relax while they handle the stress of driving around. The guides will talk you through key location and events in the areas around you and when its mostly farmland for a while, they will play Irish music - from classics to the Cranberries to set the theme. They were quite timely and they give plenty of stops for restrooms and leg stretches, as well as quick photo stops, some history lessons, they will have lunch stops planned in where the food is always excellent, and they have the time at locations very well planned out. We had such a truly wonderful time in Ireland and a great deal of that was thanks to the guides at Paddywagon. We had the best craic with Jackie as he toured us to the Rock of Casheel, Blarney Castle, and Cork, then on a another day he toured us through Northern Ireland's scenic coast to the Giant's Causeway and Belfast. He has so many relatable stories and tales, he's very well informed, and he also gave excellent recommendations for shopping and places to buy pints or dine out. We also enjoyed our tour with Martin to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren, with the best lunch I have ever had in Doolin (at O'Connor's and you must try the goat cheese tarts). On the day we went to the Cliffs, it was supposed to rain, so they adjusted the itinerary to give us the best weather at each stop and it worked beautifully! The only thing we didn't enjoy was the overnight accommodations in Cork, which were clean and safe, but felt like it was on par of a hostel for backpackers than what an American would expect when they read "Bed & Breakfast". Still, this was definitely the best way to tour Ireland so yeah, book with Paddywagon.

Richard on the first tour to Blarney Castle and Alex on the second tour to the cliffs were both very Imformative and funny in diffrent ways. Their info and hostory rarely overlapped. They both ran a tight ship and everything went smoothly. The sites themselves were well worth seeing. On the second tour we met up with Richard at one of the rest stops and even though he wasnt our guide that day he told us he would be saving my family with kids seats that day. I dont think we met a person in Ireland that wasnt friendly.

Everything was planned for us! It made for a beautiful and stress free trip. We had three different bus drivers ( Frank, Brian and Cairan) all of them were on time, organized, instructional, and knew the terrain. Our overnight B&B was small but comfortable. I felt like I was back in college in the dorm. The next morning, it was nice to have breakfast before our bus driver (Brian) picked us up right when we were told. The two highlights were seeing the Blarney Castle and the Cliffs of Mohr but we enjoyed every stop! The last day we were left at the last stop and the new bus driver (Cairan) pick us at the time we were told. Thirty minutes later we were headed back to Dublin.

Paddy Wagon suggestions- We would love that more time be planned to see the cliffs. We didn’t get to do everything we wanted to do.

Great experience overall! Like many, we’d planned to take this trip and tour the first part of 2020. We had appropriate communication about refunding/rescheduling and they were open and honest about the whole process. We decided to reschedule and they told us to let them know when and they’d get scheduled. We had no problems. Now, the tour itself was awesome! We got to see bucket list items of Ireland for first time visitors and learned a lot of Ireland’s history on the way. Our driver was Jackie and he was funny and knowledgeable. He gave us recommendations for movies, books etc. if we were interested in the many topics he discussed. I did find one factual discrepancy, so I would like my tip back if anyone at the company reads these. (I’m just teasing, internet.) If you can request a driver, request him. The accommodation was a B&B run by a lovely gentleman. They had clean, cozy rooms and good breakfast. Everything was worth seeing and experiencing - plenty of shopping opportunities too. If it rains at the Cliffs of Moher, just go with it; it’s still super cool.

2 groups were combined and there was a little bit of confusion while getting on the bus and we had to change the bus while returning to Dublin.
Hurried visits, places to eat were not that great. Poor choices of food specially for vegetarians.
Room that we were given was bad too. In a hotel ours was a ground floor room with all the noise from the hotel lobby and cleaning person etc were heard. Our view was a dumpster at the back yard.
Drop off was at a different place than the pick up(maybe that was speechified in the itinerary I am not sure)
Drivers were very courteous and knowledgeable.

I will not book with Viator/trip advisor if this quality of tours continues

We did the two day tour and were so glad we decided to stay in Cork. The only issue we had was the pickup point. People were left standing on a corner, across the street from Paddy’s Palace, when in fact the pickup is around the corner where the buses stop. All very confusing.
On day 1, Paul was our driver and guide and was fantastic. He was informative, patient and went that extra step. When we stopped in Cork for lunch he made sure he escorted us to the B&B and provided an introduction to Charlie. He gave some advice on evening places for dinner and entertainment as well. He gave us plenty of time to explore but was available for questions along the way. It was pelting rain at the Rock of Cashel so he made sure we were all warm enough once we got back on the bus. Blarney Castle was wonderful to see and we walked the park area and over to the current Blarney House. The fern garden was something to see!
The B&B was a bit noisy with trucks and people whooping it up throughout the night. Would definitely need to ensure you are mobile as it was 45 steps up to our room. Luckily we left our luggage at the hotel in Dublin and only brought a backpack with us.
Our second guide was Aiden for our continued journey to the Cliffs of Moher. A spectacular sight with some tips on the best viewing points. The St John’s castle picture opportunity is literally a drive by on a round about after picking up more tour passengers in Limerick.
Lunch at the Frantic Chef - plenty to choose from and delicious as well.
Into the Burren - windswept and worth the walk to the small cove. Be very careful!
We were dropped off at Bunratty Castle where we met up with Eduardo to bring as back to Dublin, as Aiden and group were going back to Cork.
    A wonderful two days spent.
