NOT ACCEPTABLE!
May 2020
We wanted to make the tour (it was a gift for my fathers 80ths Birthday), but due to Covid-19 we had to cancel in time. Since then (16th March 2020) i am trying to get my refund. The first Emails were answered kindly, begging for understanding and promising refunds as soon as possible. The last Emaisl werent even answered, also reaching them via phone (Dublin office) is not possible. Still waiting for my 1.200,- Euro refund!

Hi Tim Unfortunately, our offices are still closed as the Irish Government are still advising everyone to work from home where possible. Management have resumed a couple of the day tours on a limited capacity with 3 of our senior drivers operating and we were hoping to have someone back in the office as of 1st October to begin processing the refunds, however due to the increasing possibility of further restrictions in Dublin, this will most likely not happen now. Refunds must be done securely using the office terminal which cannot be removed from the building, and therefore does not allow for processing of refunds remotely. We wish to assure you that your refund is in the queue and will be processed as soon as it is safe for us to return. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and wish to thank you for your patience during this time Please stafe safe.

Incredible Ireland
Jul 2019 • Couples
My wife and I booked a driver/guide tour with Elegant Irish Tours and could not be happier.
Our driver/guide, Gerry McKeon, was incredibly knowledgeable, humorous, and extremely flexible with our itinerary. Made us feel welcomed and at home.
The hotels were good and the trip very informative and relaxing. Highly recommended!

Great way to see Ireland on a private tour
Jun 2019 • Family
My family and I had a pretty good experience with this company on our 3 night/4 day tour of Southern Ireland. Our driver picked us up at our hotel in Dublin at 8am and we headed to the Rock of Cashel then to the Blarney Castle. We arrived at the castle around 11am and the line to get to the top of the castle was about one hour so we decided to walk around the grounds. When we got back the line was an hour and half but figured that what we were there to do, to kiss the Blarney Stone. After that we were supposed to meet our driver but we still hadn’t had lunch so our driver was fine waiting another hour for us. We then headed to Killarney that we stayed for two nights. Time that evening to have dinner and visit the pubs. The next morning our driver picked us up and we drove the Ring of Kerry. This is a beautiful drive. We stopped at several spots for photo taking but pretty much saw lots of busses. It was nice to be able to stop somewhere and when we were ready then could just take off without waiting on a bus load of people. Stopped for lunch, each lunch spot was picked by our driver guessing he gets a kickback for doing that. Lunch was fine, nothing that exciting as most of the restaurants seem to serve the same kind of food. Back to Killarney we took a nice carriage ride through the national park which was very nice. Our carriage driver then dropped us off at the Killarney brewery since we wanted to go there. That evening our driver had recommended us seeing an Irish dance show which he organized getting us the tickets that morning. He picked us up from our hotel and dropped us up at the show. We were able to return on a shuttle bus that dropped you at the center of town. Our hotel was very convenient and in the center of everything. Day 3 we were picked up again in the morning and traveled to the Dingle peninsula. This was very enjoyable and we really liked the town. Got a chance to have a beer at a really cool combo pub/hardware store then lunch at a local restaurant that had good fish n Chips. From there we headed to Galway for our last night. My biggest disappointment was that our hotel was not within walking distance to the center of town but after check in our driver came back for us and dropped us off in town where we had dinner and visited several of the pubs there. We really loved Galway and wished we would of spent another day there. Next morning we headed to the Cliffs of Moher which was beautiful. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day. We walked on top of the cliffs and then took a boat ride to see them from down below. Although it was nice. I think I would skip the boat as I think the view from up top was nicer. After there on our way back to Dublin our driver allowed us to make an extra stop to the oldest pub in the world called Sean’s Bar in Athlone. That was pretty cool to see. Then it was back on the road fo4 a 6pm drop off at ou4 hotel in Dublin. I really think we got to see a lot in a short time but there is a lot of driving involved. Our driver was very knowledgeable and shared lots of info with us. Our vehicle (large Mercedes van) was very comfortable and it also had a WiFi hotspot. If we needed to make a bathroom stop or grab a drink he was happy to oblige. This is a fairly structured tour but not as structured as a large bus tour would be so it was pretty enjoyable for our family of four.

Enjoyed what we saw, but lots of disappointments including rude guide and duplicating stops
Jun 2019 • Family
Overall, I would recommend this type of tour in Ireland because driving yourself would be harrowing. The sights we saw made it worthwhile, however, after reading glowing reviews on tripadvisor of the tour guides, we were disappointed. While we saw other Paddywagon busses with a driver and a guide, we had only one person doing both the driver and acting as guide. He never introduced himself, was sick with a cold, never asked anything about tour participants, and generally seemed annoyed to be there. Instead of seeing the Dingle Peninsula, we were told there was a big event there and we would be staying in Killarney instead. The issue with this is we spent an evening in Killarney (in a b&b that was booked at the last minute and subpar), we then left Killarney the next morning to drive half the route to the original location, turn around and go back to Killarney and spent another half day there. I understand they must be flexible and make changes when necessary, but they should have taken us to a different sight to spend the evening instead of duplicating the location we would be visiting the next day. Frustrating to know we missed out on seeing such beautiful sights.

Great way to see Ireland.
May 2019 • Couples
We had a group of 9 on this tour. Every one of us was extremely happy with the tour. Our bus driver/tour guide was Alex. He was outstanding. He shared his knowledge of Irish history, culture and folklore. The bed & breakfast accommodations were clean & comfortable. It was one of the most fun trips I have ever had. Two thumbs up.

Well-planned and informative tour
Jun 2019 • Family
This tour covers a huge area of Ireland but the bus rides and stops are well planned. There was something for everyone--beautiful scenery, optional horse or horse/buggy rides in the national park, lively nightlife in Galway, quiet village with pub karaoke for 2nd night, even Obama's rest area as last stop before back to Dublin! Alex our guide was spectacular at getting to know everyone, being thoughtful, humorous, and providing lots of Irish history in short meaningful sound bites. We had all ages on our bus and everyone's needs were accommodated. Having two options for accommodations at night was good--less expensive for those who want the hostel experience and more moderate for those who want private bathrooms in homes converted to B & Bs. These are not hotel type lodgings but quiet and quite adequate. Given the distances and number of attractions covered, these tours require extensive planning. It was wonderful to have PaddyWagon take care of everything, including the driving on scarily narrow roads (don't try it yourself unless you have lots of time, can handle driving on the left through countless roundabouts and one lane roads on mountain cliffs). Our family definitely recommends this three-day tour.

Exceeded our expectations!!!
Apr 2019 • Couples
This was an amazing trip and I can say we would absolutely do this again. I had no idea that this tour would’ve exceeded our expectations like it did as I had initially thought that it would be hard traveling on a bus for a 3 day tour but the time flew by each day and there’s lovely stops on the way to the main destination for each day. Also our guide Barry made the trip that much more enjoyable with his humor which also helped to lighten the mood of the tour bus, seeing as how we were all strangers. But by the first day we were all pretty familiar, it also helped that he made us say a little something about ourselves which gave for good laughs.

It was a bittersweet end when the trip came to an end and we returned to Dublin, we had become so use to being in the bus with everyone and felt that we only wanted to see more of what Southern Ireland had to offer.

I would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting and looking to really experience this beautiful country and get the most out of their trip and for sure ask for Barry!!

Great 3 day tour
Feb 2019
My husband and I went on this trip and weren't completely sure what to expect as we have never done a touristy guided thing like this before but we had a great time. Darin was our guide - and we had a smaller "bus" / Sprinter Size Van that fit about 15 people - there were ten of us on the tour total and that was great. We occasionally passed the Giant bus where maybe 40 or 50 people got out at the same time and you couldn't even get a photo without people in your way. I would have hated the big group tour. Our group (and small group size) was great and Daren was lovely and a great driver on some pretty narrow roads. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was getting what they wanted out of the tour. There were of course times I wished I could be driving a small car so we could pull over wherever and whenever we wanted - but mostly I was glad I didnt have to be worrying about driving on these narrow roads on the left side of the road. Also had I spoken up I'm sure he would have tried to appease my urges - but I didn't wan't to subject the group to my obsession with taking photos of the countryside (we saw tons of beautiful farms and sheep but I dont have any good photos of these).

We had two hot breakfasts (with the B+B route) and even a dinner one night in a small town. The other meals we paid for ourselves. I don't think the hostel route had any hot breakfast - something to consider.

In Killarney, the B+B was about a 20 minute walk from where the shops and restaurants were (the hostel was much closer) but the place we stayed was nice and I don't regret the further walk. We also could have called a cab if we didn't want that walk.

Overall we think it was very cheap and delightful.

Great tour to saw so many things..
Sep 2018 • Family
In 3 days (09/21-09/23) you see so many things and our tour guide (Dan O'Connell) was very knowledgeable - we had a blast.

Spent plenty of time at the cliffs, galway and and had a great time in Annascaul.

The ring of Kerry is a complete day trip on it's own and I was glad to see as much as we did but anyone complaining about only seeing an abbreviated version of that should take another tour.

I have no complaints about Paddywagon or this tour in particular - everything was very organized, professional, informative and got to see a ton of things in a short period of time. Would 100% recommend to others to do this tour.
