Patrick was a great Tour guide. He treated us to Irish themed music dependent during the bus ride based on the different areas we visited; gave us plenty of Irish history for the areas we visited; and took photos of us (and even joined me for a photo!) in front of the GOT film sites.

Matko, our driver, got us there and back safely on timely, and he also slightly modified the route within time constraints to allow avid photographers better views of certain areas during the trip.

Overall, very happy that we joined Patrick and Matko for this day trip from Dublin!

Please bear in mind that this may not be the best activity for you or a member of your party have mobility issues or health concerns. Lots of walking with some steep inclines in certain areas.

Cheers mates!

Solo
This was my first solo trip with Fin Mccools tour and i really enjoyed my trip. The guide Sean was so knowledgeable and he shared his knowledge about each and every place as well as the whole city and never the less about the ireland. It was very insightful to have a guide like sean during our travel to such beautiful places. The driver Robert also did wonderful job in taking us to all places and leaving us back to dublin before time safely. I will defined recommend everyone to opt for this tour especially game of thrones location and giant’s causeway.

I loved hearing all the fantastic stories and history from our very talented tour guide, Lawrence. He brought the country side to life and his positive energy filled the bus with excitement! He was very personable and had great conversations with many of us during different parts of the tour. Our bus driver, Sebastian, was extremely competent in navigating the twisty, narrow roads. He arrived on time and was friendly. Highly, highly recommend partaking in this experience or any tour they offer. It’s a wonderful way to see a lot of Ireland in a short amount of time. Especially nice if your trip isn’t so long.
The bus was clean, had comfortable seating, and very nice clear views through the windows. Sitting near the front gave us a great view through the driver’s window too.

Go with another tour company specifically recommend Wild Roving Tours who we did the Giants Causeway the day before with. I booked this trip on 2 Jan 20 specifically because it advertises a distillery tasting along with the Giants Causeway and Game of Thrones sites something that Wild Roving Tours did not offer. The link I used to book this trip, the original confirmation email with my reference number (attached) itinerary and reminder emails in my trip advisor box says “Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery, and Game of Thrones” and outlines the distillery is apart of this trip. However when your click the link to issue tickets it switches to “Giants Causeway and Game of Thrones” but still has the same reference number (also attached). So once we arrive on the trip and the tour guide Derrick (driver Liem) goes over the itinerary I noticed he didnt say anything about the distillery. When we stop for a restroom break I bring it up. Derrick states “oh you’re one of those” when I asked what he meant, he stated that several people are booking this trip thinking the distillery is apart of it but it’s not. Basically, the company is going to be doing future trips including the distillery but right now it’s not. He offers to send an email to the company with the issue. I bring up my friend who booked the trip the night before also has this issue so he emails for us both. Bottom line, i was told the company wouldnt reach out to me to rectify this issue because my issued ticket which has the same booking number as my original confirmation did not say Distillery. However, they do/did plan on reaching out to my friend because his issued tickets did say distillery on them. When I logged to check my old confirmation through the link everything had conveniently been changed. Thankfully I take pictures of everything and will be contacting trip advisor, which I wouldn’t have done before had they just addressed the issue and offered a discount. When the company did reach out after I emailed them, I was met with disrespect. All emails and pictures attached for reference you make your own determination.

Wow. Why would i be contacting the people that was affected and booked on the 6th of March for the 7th of March tour? But you im REFUSING TO REFUND? As you booked 2 months before the problem? Its simple you were not affected. You heard others were and getting a refund. Jumping on the bandwagon and escalated this to what can only be described as extorsión. You booked 2 MONTHS before the error in the internal itinerary happend for a few hours. You booked a Giants Causeway and Game of thrones tour. You got a Giants Causeway and Game of thrones tour Had you booked the Whiskey tasting tour you would have been contacted like the people you heard we are refunding. Again why would i contact others and with you i would refuse a refund and recommend you can leave as many reviews as you want. Because you were not affected and i dont suffer fools How do i know you know you are in the wrong and acting like an idiot? 1. You deleted your earlier review where you posted your actual ticket. This time you posted the same ticket but cut the top of it off that said "giants Causeway and Game of Thrones Tour. I assume in hindsight it made you look like an idiot 2. Posting selected replies from me but not your emails trying to extort me with threats of reviews

We had an unforgettable spring tour with Finn McCools Tours from Dublin to Northern Ireland where we experienced Giants Causeway and more Game of Thrones film locations. By the inspiring presentation of our very gifted tour guide we relived several GOT-scenes on location, and enjoyed the impressive scenes of nature likewise – as a curious bonus we also became acquainted with Miriam the successor of Johann the Goat of Cuschendun. Being in our late 50s and 60s we were pretty worn out after the 14 hours tour but when we put our heads to rest at bedtime it was with at a satisfied feeling like a child having played outside all day. We will certainly look out for another Finn McCools Tours on or next visit to Ireland.

Spending one week in Ireland, my mother and I have done three tours through this company. They have been fantastic ways to explore Ireland, especially when you have wonderful tour guides and bus drivers. Gavin was a fantastic tour guide-he had great insight into the past and current events of the country (things we likely wouldn’t have learned otherwise) and his personality made this tour so engaging and fun! He always was considerate of the passengers and made it a lively and informational experience. Irinel was a excellent driver too; we always felt safe and secure as we travelled to different locations throughout the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and we would love to do another tour with both of them again. Hands down, we recommend this company and people.

This day trip was one of my favorite experiences during my trip to Ireland. Sean (our guide) and Brian (our driver) were extremely friendly, knowledgable, and easy to chat with. They did a wonderful job showing off the many sites of Northern Ireland, with Sean playing (and singing!) traditional Irish music, and Brian safely escorting us to our various sites while sharing his vast troves of knowledge about Irish Whiskey (as well as where to find some of the best whiskey experiences in-and-around Dublin). I will absolutely book this day trip again when I come back to Ireland with my wife!

We had a fantastic time at the Titanic museum as well as the Giants Causeway and other interesting stops along the way! We had Mark for this bus tour and he was a great tour operator with a lot of knowledge.
The following day we did the Cliffs of Mohr tour with Padraig and he kept the bus entertained and in good spirits even though the weather was dismal all day.
Try to book during a stretch of good Irish weather! If not, you are guaranteed to learn a lot about the history of Ireland and have some laughs with the vivacious tour operators at Finn McCool’s tours!

Sean was an amazing tour guide for our Giants Causeway, Dark Hedges, and Belfast tour. He was super funny, knowledgeable, and approachable. He even offered to write our names in Ogham, which was really cool, and sang some really great Irish songs.

Brian was an amazing coach driver and helped navigate some tricky turns.

Would recommend this tour to anybody!

This is a review of our tour that took place in July 2018 (i think) and we really enyoyed every bit of it! Sadly I can't remember the name of the guide, he was very informative, witty and knowledgable and was wearing a white hat and a kind of lilac (or blue-ish...?) suit jacket :). We had a great time and the sites were absolutely stunning, as was the background information about the filming locations. We sincerely wish all the best for your fabulous company and especially your excellent staff in coping with the current situation and we'll make sure to come back to you the next time we visit beautiful Ireland! We do have a newborn son now who some time in the future will want to see everything his parents speak so fondly of! All the best to you and we sincerely hope we meet again on one of your excellent tours!
