The weather was perfect to enjoying our day in Giant Causeway. There’s a place everyone should go. The Tour Guide Phil was very funny and did the trip most interesting talking about Ireland history.

Great tour! Martin and Brian were great. Favorite part of the whole tour was hearing from Brian’s personal experience living in Belfast during the troubles. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, we were 8 minutes late and the bus already left. There was another who also was left behind. It is our fault for being late, but when the operators phone number is incorrect and a hotel, they have some culpability as well. Not easy to call to let them know we were stuck in traffic and a hotel employee is picking up the phone. We had a rental and tried to see if we could meet them at the first stop or follow along so we could participate in the stops. No accommodation.

You were stuck in traffic at 6:30 in the morning. And when you called a hotel employee answered the phone? Called the wrong number? Called your hotel?

The Giant's Causeway was worth the trip. Our guide Quiggs was entertaining along the journey with interesting stories and a little music. Overall a very pleasant day out. One tip: get to the bus early to get seats closer to the front :)

Great trip! Plenty of time to see every spot. Noel and Vic were great and kept it going pretty smooth.

Amazing experience, which was made even better by our driver and tour guide Quiggs (Mark). Quiggs was full of interesting facts and history about Ireland and the Irish heritage, complete with his low flute which he played for us to make the experience even more enjoyable. Our driver was even able to make a few extra stops for some great photo opportunities. Couldn't have asked for a better tour guide and driver and would highly recommend

I would like to Know if it's necessary to have the passport to cross the border ??
Thank you indeed
Hi all,
Can we go on this trip with Irish Residency Permit? What kind of documentation do they ask during border checks? Thanks!

No need for documentations. I had my passport just in case. We were told it's a "soft border". Loved that day trip. ❤️
We would like to ask if it is possible to participate in this day trip from Dublin to Giant's Causeway with a Swiss identity card?
Or do we need a passport?
Thanks

Hi, if you are already in Ireland it should not be necessary to have a passport with you.
When we took part at this trip we didn’t had to show any kind of passport or identity card.

How much free time did you get to spend in Belfast? Did you get free time in any other community/town?
Thank you!

we had like a couple of hours in Belfast, we could either opt for Titanic tour, go to a museum or take a walk to see the wall, we did the latter, it was quite a brisk walk but totally manageable and worthwhile and we got excellent directions and explanations from the guide, he even marked the way on my phone so that we wouldn't get lost. I don't remember having free time in any other town.

I am a US citizen who will be visiting Dublin in January with 5 other adults. We would like to do this tour but are looking for covid information/restrictions. Are vaccination cards required? Is a negative Covid test required since this tour goes to Northern Ireland?

The guidelines are ever-changing so you should contact the tour company. I will say at the time I took the tour, face masks were required on the bus, whereas one different tour company did not enforce that (which made me uncomfortable so I double masked). Ireland is over 90% fully vaccinated, so I felt more comfortable traveling there than I do here in the US. We did need to show our vaccination card and ID for indoor dining and most activities in Ireland, but again that may change when you go. No checkpoints of neg Covid tests to go to Belfast. If you can request Danny as your tour guide—he was the best of any of the tours I took in Ireland and Scotland. Also, get all the information on locator forms. If you have a layover in London you’ll need a locator for for the UK and a separate one for Ireland before they let you on the plane. I mention bc a lot of travelers were unaware of two separate forms. Enjoy!
Hi! I’m a US citizen living in Dublin and I’d love to do this tour. Do you know what documents will be needed to be allowed in Northern Ireland?

I think passport will be enough for an American citizen.
Remember that Northern Ireland is a part of United Kingdom and the local currency is sterling not euro

Hi. We are excited to be arriving in Dublin on July 24th. We understand that Covid may play a factor in our visitation. My son and I are fully vaccinated and would love to do this tour on July 25th. Are you conducting this tour? How will Covid affect the itinerary?

Hi! We are planning to take this tour in February. Since we are starting in Dublin but we cross the border to Northern Ireland, can we still do so with a regular EU national ID card or passports are required from Jan 31st when the UK leaves the EU? Thanks!

When we went in September 2019, we did not have to show identification as we were on the tour bus. I would ask the operator in case there has been a change. It can't hurt to have your identification with you just in case!
