Pedaling through Dublin on a bicycle lets you travel as the locals do, getting to know the city from the ground up without fussing with maps or directions. Simply follow the guide to see some of the off-the-beaten-path sites that ordinary tour buses can't access. Start your tour with a circuit around some of the top landmarks, including Merrion Square, Parnell Square, O'Connell Street, Temple Bar, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin Castle, and College Green. Then head a bit out of the usual tourist loop to see the Blessington Street Basin and the 18th-century Roe's Distillery windmill on the way to the Grand Canal Dock area, part of “the new Dublin.” Along the way, listen to your guide’s commentary on the ancient city's history, culture, and modern iteration.

    Great bike tour!
My wife, 11yr old son and I truly enjoyed our bike tour with Rosalinde. She was knowledgeable and passionate about the city. We did the tour on a Sunday so traffic in the city was pretty light which made the biking pretty easy. The city is pretty flat and the tour lasts about 3 hrs. Great opportunity to see a lot of the city must faster than on foot!

Great activity - definitely recommend it!
Wow - we’re thrilled to be the 100th review! We had thought our bike tour would be cancelled. It was wet, cold and really, really windy. But the lovely Laura was there waiting for us. The weather was bitter but we had such a great time. There was only the three of us on the tour and Laura adjusted the journey so we didn’t repeat anything we’d done on our first day. The bikes were comfortable and the traffic/roads easy to navigate. It was great to get the blood pumping and whiz from location to location. Laura found out how much we knew about Ireland and tailored the tour accordingly. Her knowledge was broad and deep. I was on holiday with my husband and 18 year old daughter and would highly recommend. We learned so much - thank you Laura!

    Great bike ride.
After safety instructions we rode all around the city. Stopped at all the sites and heard a few stories. Even stopped for a break at a coffee shop. Our guide was wonderful and I highly recommend this.

    See Dublin by bike: U2
Very nice to get insight information about U2 places, buildings, stories and connections in Dublin. Julian is a big U2 fan, so he tells you stuff with lots of enthusiasm and professionality. He has worked at Hotpress and made a fantastic biography of Rory Gallagher and he is a Music fan who knows the popscene of Dublin very well. Very cool to meet Julian as a person and for his knowledge of all.

Make this the start of your visit!
It's absolutely something to do for the start of your visit. You'll bike around and see the different areas and historical sights of the beautiful city. Laura was great fun and clearly knows the city well! She's a pretty good singer too ;)

We fooled the teenagers into learning something. Julian was very informative and adept at guiding us in and out of traffic and in and out of historic sights.

Friendly guide w/ deep knowledge of city; great tour (U2's Dublin)
Julian has personal experience in the music industry and has personal experience with U2, including the Project Art Centre gig in May 1978. He was personable, deeply knowledgeable, and a great guide. He helped accommodate our daughters (ages 8 and 11) so they were able to participate. They are big U2 fans, so this was one of our top highlights of our whole European trip.

    Great bike tour
Julian was a fantastic and very knowledgable tour guide. The tour itself was the right balance of seeing as much of the city as possible but stopping at appropriate times to find out more about a particular site. Would definitely recommend!

Terrible . Dublin bikes tour company contacted me 1.5 hrs hours before tour to cancel - some alleged mix up in paperwork ! Reading times incorrectly believing my tour at 10am when it was 2pm. Email from Dublin bikes at 12.30 saying they had no guide available for 2pm tour . Now trying to get a refund from Trip Advisor ... have emailed and asked Dublin hikes to request refund but do far no response from Trip Advisor about refund .. Horrible end to my trip to Dublin and also 65 euros down trying to chase up Trip Advisor . Thank god booked via PayPal so lodged a dispute with resolution centre .
I was offered an alternative tour today from Dublin Bikes but am flying out of Dublin today . Will never ever again book anything via Trip Advisor !! Dublin Bikes cancelling yours at short notice then saying refund via Trip Advisor is not acceptable

We enjoyed a relaxed and nice ride through Dublin. The tour gives a welcome overview of the city, so we could decide which places we wanted to see in more detail later. Our guide, Laura, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. She helped us understand the basics of the history of the city and imporrtant events that shapes the whole country. The bikes are in good state and the ride is mostly flat. The pickup location is amazingly centric and convenient. It is important to remind, thoug, that this is still a city and riders must coexist with motor drivers. Some basic riding skills are needed.

The tour provides a good overview of Irish history and Dublin sights. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. However, if you are not used to cycling in big cities with intensive traffic and lack of cycleways, it might be challenging. And the left-hand traffic does not make it easier. Fortunately following the guide helpeda little. So for the less experienced cyclists I would recommend to plan the tour for Sunday as I did

I hate to write a bad review, but the purpose of reviews is to inform the next visitor so here it is… We arrived to Dublin on a Sunday morning having booked the trip for Sunday at 2pm. We got to the meeting point at 1:45. We waited with 5 other people until 2:30. Called the office, no answer. Guide was a no show. We put into trip advisor for a refund, which we have received. Never received an apology or explanation from this company. We were definitely in the right place- right next to a locked cage of bikes.

Seeing Dubin by bike is great; able to cover many sites quickly. Was a 2.5-hour easy flat ride and following Laura took care of the navigation. We stopped at many sites and Laura provided great detail on what we were seeing as well as historical insight.
