Highlights
Bike tour allows you to travel Dublin like a local
All equipment included: bike, helmet, and high-visibility bib
Guide provides directions and commentary
Snacks included to refuel along the route
What to expect
Meet your guide and group at the Daintree Building on Pleasant's Place, and be properly fitted for a bike and safety equipment. Pedaling through Dublin on a bicycle lets you travel as the locals do, getting to know the city from the ground up without fussing with maps or directions. Simply follow the guide to see some of the off-the-beaten-path sites that ordinary tour buses can't access. Start your tour with a circuit around some of the top landmarks, including Merrion Square, Parnell Square, O'Connell Street, Temple Bar, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Dublin Castle, and College Green. Then head a bit out of the usual tourist loop to see the Blessington Street Basin and the 18th-century Roe's Distillery windmill on the way to the Grand Canal Dock area, part of “the new Dublin.” Along the way, listen to your guide’s commentary on the ancient city's history, culture, and modern iteration.

Dublin cycle tour
Feb 2020 • Friends
Terrible . Dublin bikes tour company contacted me 1.5 hrs hours before tour to cancel - some alleged mix up in paperwork ! Reading times incorrectly believing my tour at 10am when it was 2pm. Email from Dublin bikes at 12.30 saying they had no guide available for 2pm tour . Now trying to get a refund from Trip Advisor ... have emailed and asked Dublin hikes to request refund but do far no response from Trip Advisor about refund .. Horrible end to my trip to Dublin and also 65 euros down trying to chase up Trip Advisor . Thank god booked via PayPal so lodged a dispute with resolution centre .
I was offered an alternative tour today from Dublin Bikes but am flying out of Dublin today . Will never ever again book anything via Trip Advisor !! Dublin Bikes cancelling yours at short notice then saying refund via Trip Advisor is not acceptable

Great overview but be aware of the traffic
Jan 2020 • Solo
The tour provides a good overview of Irish history and Dublin sights. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. However, if you are not used to cycling in big cities with intensive traffic and lack of cycleways, it might be challenging. And the left-hand traffic does not make it easier. Fortunately following the guide helpeda little. So for the less experienced cyclists I would recommend to plan the tour for Sunday as I did

The real deal
Dec 2019
Thanks to John our fantastic tour guide for a genuinely fascinating insight into Dublin and all of its contents!
While we hadn’t booked a private tour, we ended up being the only 2 people on the tour (might have had something to do with us booking a bicycle tour on a Friday morning in December during minus temperatures…). Our tour went ahead anyway which we were grateful for and meant that we could ask lots of questions about Dublin and the focus of each stop along the way.
As someone who had never been to Dublin before, this was a great way to see the city and hear some of the interesting stories and facts about its history as well as the current environment. We visited various sites including Dublin Castle, the Guinness Distillery all way through to the locations like Google’s Dublin HQ.
A fun and quick way to see the city when you only have a few days to cram it all in! Would certainly recommend whether it be summer or winter!

Great way to get acquainted with Dublin.

I've been on several bike tours in various cities and always found them informative and entertaining. Some notable differences with Dublin City Highlights Bike Tour - much higher quality bikes and the tour was about an hour longer than average. Rosalind was a great host, knowledgeable, interesting and skilled in the art of herding a parade of bikes through the streets of Dublin. If you do nothing else in Dublin, do this.

Rosalinde is the best!
Oct 2019
I had a pleasure to be a part of the 9pax group. Everything was on time, The tour was also longer than I expected thanks for our guide Rosalinde! She was amazing, she took our hearts just on the first stop when she started to sing tradicional irish song Molly Malone! Very kind, responsible, knowledgable person! I can highly recommend this tour to everybody. Thank you again for a lovely ride!

Excellent informative tour with brilliant tour guide
We went on this tour on October bank holiday Monday. There were 9 of us on the tour. Our tour guide Rosalina was so knowledgeable on all aspects of Dublin.
Easy cycle as there are no hills and very enjoyable which takes in the sites and gives an excellent introduction/overview of Dublin especially if you are only here for a few days. Highly recommended.

Great experience!
Sep 2019
We are from the U.S (Michigan) and did the Dublin bike tour with Laura on Monday, September 02. Her enthusiasm for Dublin itself (She isn't a native.) and her knowledge of Dublin and Irish history made for a great experience. We rode in a group of 10 (plus Laura), which worked out very well for all. It was exactly what I expected and hoped for as an introduction to the highlights of Dublin. For a safer city biking tour, I would recommend brighter fluorescent vests for the riders and flashing red lights on the backs of the bikes. Jerry Ryan

Informative and enjoyable tour of Dublin
Sep 2019 • Couples
Today we enjoyed a nice biketrip through Dublin under expert guidance of Laura. At least 15 stops were made, including the Guinness brewery, both cathedrals, the Famine Memorial and Dublin Castle. Nice guide, good bikes, friendly group, great tour.

Worst bike tour I have ever been on. The guide was disorganized. There were too many people on the tour for one person. When we arrived at a site, she would stop us in the rear of the attraction and then just take off after she gave her talk, so we couldn't take any pictures. She gave a "coffee" stop in the middle of the tour which lasted about 30 min. so that she could smoke cigarettes and talk on the phone. Heavy traffic on the tour route, so be prepared for riding in a city if you go on this one.
