Such a great and easy company to book your tour through. Our guide dave and driver shaun were fantastic the whole 13 hour day. Dave told us about the history of Ireland as well as his personal stories of growing up in Ireland and pointing out landmarks along the way. The coaches were very comfortable, with WiFi and USB plugs.
Wild rovers go to many famous places around Ireland and I feel you get the perfect amount of time at each place, all attractions are payed for when booking your tour.
If you are in Ireland, I would definitely book with these guys.

Just to clarify the itinerary: the stops listed aren't on every tour. You have a choice between a Black Taxi tour and the Titanic Museum. If you choose the Black Taxi tour, you'll see Falls Road, Shankill Road, and the Peace Wall, but you won't see Titanic's Dock and Pump House. And if you choose the Titanic Museum, you'll do the opposite: you don't see the roads and Peace Wall, but you'll learn about the Titanic.
When we booked the trip, we assumed all these stops were on the itinerary and we didn't know we had to choose a Back Taxi tour of Belfast or the Titanic Museum. We chose the Black Taxi tour. This part of the tour is very interesting and very sobering to realize there are still places where Catholic and Protestant neighborhoods are still separated (the Peace Wall) and some streets have gates that are locked at 7:00 pm!
The two groups meet at the Titanic Museum for a food/ bathroom break and then continue onto the Giant's Causeway.
When we went, it was very cold and there were high winds along the cliffs, which made it even colder.
We ate at The Nook, a little restaurant at the Giants Causeway. The food was very good, though keep in mind that lunch is NOT included on the tour: you get time to eat, but you have to pay for it yourself.
Dave (the tour guide) and Gerry (the driver) were very good. They played the movie "Belfast" on the way back and I'll admit to falling asleep during the middle, simply because it had been a long day.
Personally, I think this trip is WELL worth the money, especially considering the time and expense compared to seeing these things yourself.
And as other people are saying, be aware that this is an all-day trip: you meet the bus at 7:00 am and you don't get back to Dublin until 7:30, 8:00, or possibly later.

We took the Wild Rover tour from Dublin to the Giants Causeway in Northern Ireland which well worth the cost.
In Belfast we were given the choice of doing either the Titanic Museum or a taxi tour of Belfast. We decided to do the Taxi tour of Dublin, which I highly recommend if you are interested in the history of the Belfast conflict. The drivers explain events from their personal experience, not some script. Very, very informative & moving.
At this Giant Causeway if you have walking issues the there is a bus service for £1 to the causeway. Just expect to be blown around a bit.
We highly recommend the Wild Rover tour. Aisling the host & James the driver were brilliant, could not commend them enough.

The trip was very nice! We started the day in a black taxi of Belfast, where a local taxi driver took us to the most significant murals and historical places in the city while giving some history explanations. Neverless, I would have appreciated to spend some time on our own in the city centre instead of waiting in front of the museum until for people who chose to do the Titanic visit came out. After that, we headed to Dunluce castle, where there is a magnific costline view, and the castle itself is also nice to see. At the end of the day we went to the Giants Causeway, a stunning geographic point that nobldy should miss, I highly recommend visiting it!! During all the trip our guide Connor has told us about Irish history in a really pleasant way, including jokes, interacting with the group making questions, playing music and an interesting video. He has been really helpful with any questions the group members asked him, we really appreciated that! The diver, Joe was also kind and friendly. In addition, he was always on time and made enough stops to grab some food and go to the toilet during the day. I highly recommend this trip!

Murphy and Sean were great hosts. Glad we chose Wild Rover. Murphy was a great mix of informative and humorous. He kept our group well-organized and on time. We were not forced to eat at any overpriced tourist traps as Wild Rover is not compensated at any of the restaurants we were brought to unlike other travel companies in the area. Loved the tour so much that we booked another tour to Galway the next day. Well worth the money and time.

Originally my brother and I, meeting in Dublin for a sibling's weekend, planned to rent a car and take a day trip across Ireland on our own. After we considered the stress and cost of undertaking such a journey by ourselves, we decided to opt instead for this tour. And we are SO glad that we did! We were thrilled with the quality of this tour and found it to be a great value for the price.
Our guide, David, dazzled us not only with his extensive knowledge of Ireland, but also with his musical talent, singing several charming traditional Irish songs throughout the day. Our driver Michael was very kind and even squeezed in an extra 10 minute stop for us at a look out point at the end of the day because the weather at the coast was so stunning.
In Belfast we chose the taxi tour to learn more about The Troubles (the other option was touring the Titanic museum at the port); the drivers were extremely knowledgable and courteous! I would say that this was the highlight of the trip, but in reality, the entire day was so fabulous that it's hard to choose an absolute favorite bit. We learned a great deal of history and were treated very kindly.
After driving up to the coast we spent 30 minutes at Dunluce Castle and later about 2 hours at Giant's Causeway. David gave very insightful tips about how to maximize our time at each stop.
Breaks the use the bathroom and get coffee/snacks were sprinkled throughout the day; places to eat were noted in advance so that you could use your time accordingly. The only challenge in this regard is that the shops/restaurants were a bit overwhelmed at times when our buses descended upon them (understandably so). With this in mind, I recommend packing some snacks and water bottles for the day to hold you over in the case that a line is simply impossible to beat within the given time limits. That way you can focus on the sights themselves and not worry about standing in line too long anywhere.
Thanks so much for the wonderful day trip, Wild Rover Tours! My brother and I get to spend something like 1-2 weeks together each year (at most); you delivered a dream day for us to spend together until we reunite next at Christmas :)

First thing is that you don’t actually see the city center of Belfast, you have to choose between black cab tour or the titanic experience with no option to explore the city yourself. Second thing is the Wi-Fi, which is not working while driving through northern Ireland. Eventhough it was cold and rainy, the bus had to have A/C always on, so the windows didn’t fog up and it was very cold. So bring a jacket just for that alone. The third thing is that the bus stoped at a random restaurant for lunch and we had no other option but to pay £10 for a sandwich!!! For the cherry on top, the rope bridge was closed and there was no mention of that on their website.
I would have done this tour in the complete opposite order with belfast as the last stop and time for a meal there.

Hello George,
Your review fails to mention the the "cherry on top" was a visit to Dun Luce Castle. For essential maintenance the bridge is temporarily closed to the public. This is obviously disappointing so as an alternative paid for attraction we include the Castle a very popular, stunningly picturesque and historical attraction.
The touring coach is 2 years old. A cool gentle air flows through the cabin for both comfort and health reasons. The coach aircon system is fitted with a UV filtration system which kills all Covid bacteria that might be in the air. A good thing yes ?
Most people need food and a drinlk during the course of a 13 hour day. If you have a problem with that there is not much to say. No one compelled you to spend £10,
The information offered on the tour itinerary clearly states that during the time allotted in Belfast the options of either the Black Taxi Tour of the various conflict locations in the city visiting the two communities most affected during the toubles or a visit to the award winning Belfast Titanic Experience will be included. Whats the problem and why slag off the company for honouring what was promised?
Free Wifi on board the coach, occasionally north of the border over the terrain of the Antrim glens and on the coast line the connection can sometimes can be sporadic. What 99.9% of people do in that situation is look out of the window and enjoy the scenerary.
Good idea, if not for trying to be humerous which you are not. A jacket in Ireland particularly when visiting the coastal locations.
George next please, good idea of yours, next time take the public bus.
Regards
John

The chartered bus with comfortable seating was warm and waiting with chipper, smiling hosts at the prescribed location. After launching out, safety, house keeping and the agenda was discussed. Off we went to Belfast and learned about the history or the region along the way. Arriving in Belfast we were greeted with out “Black Taxi” and guide who told his touching, personal story while explaining the murals throughout Belfast and the history of the troubles times. Continuing on we stopped to see castles precariously hanging on cliffs edge, awaiting the day the sea will reclaim it. Marching on we reached the Giant’s Causeway and witness the ninth natural wonder of the world and what a sight to behold. The wind gusting 40kmh didn’t disappoint. Waves crashing 30ft in the air off the shore, causing sea foam to fly through the air. Although the power was out in the venue buildings, our hosts Kim and Paolo ensures we had amenities and had abundant access to food and drink. Our last stop was the Dark Hedges which had a fairytale feel and was very picturesque. Sadly the day came to an end and to our delight, a traditional Irish tale played on the media screens. Thank you Paolo for your kind demeanor and expert driving. Thank you Kim for the non-scripted informative guided tour. Your passion for Ireland and it’s history is legendary.

Our driver Paulo showed some exceptional skills in driving in the difficult conditions (rain, snow and wind) while Kim was an amazing tour guide. She gave an excellent historical background to the situation in Northern Ireland and took time to explain all relevant information. Kim showed that she cared about everyone during the tour and made sure everyone had their expectations met. The black cab tour in Belfast by Patrick was very poignant and a dream come true, to hear from someone who was there during “the troubles”. The giant’s causeway was better than I had expected and Kim brought it to life wraith her folklore story telling. It was a memorable day,

Tour guide Kim and Driver Gerry!
Can’t say enough good things about you.
You guys are the TOP NOTCH Duo I’ve had given a tour yet. Kim’s warm announcement voice and knowledge of Ireland is second to none. Easy to understand for us who aren’t born to the Irish accent. Really took time and you can tell these folks love what they do and do it well!
This was our first tour of many
I learned so much but also got a taste of the warm Irish hospitality and recommended the best spots for pints and food while in Dublin.
The bus was modern and comfortable, lots of breaks so you can get food and stretch while covering so much ground.
Northern Ireland: from Belfast’s riveting history to the giants causeway walk and a bonus stop at Dunlas Castle this 13 hour tour makes a day feel so productive and really allows one to learn about irelands historical division but also just enjoy the costal bus art it’s the best of both worlds.
Now, in Belfast you have a choice of activity: Black Cab tours or Titanic museum.
If the weather is gorgeous like the day we went highly recommend the cab tour to really learn about Belfast and Irish history. The titanic museum is also gorgeous so either way you can’t go wrong.
It’s almost too hard to describe in words and justify the beauty of what you learn on the tour, but the value for a whole day tour is second to none. We are really glad we started our week long Ireland visit with your company!
We even went to the Celt for stew and a pint of Guinness after then got ice cream at Murphy’s. Magical day.

Is the "Carrick-a-rede rope bridge" still included/ As is open again.

No, the bridge is not included, it is no longer open to tour groups. However our driver stopped on the coast there so we could see below to the bridge. Gorgeous views there.

The information says children 3 and up and you cannot select a "youth" ticket for 2 or under. My daughter will be 22 months. Should I just pay for 2 adults and have her as a lap child and assume her entrance will be free at all locations due to her age? Or should I pay $87 for her?
Written 26 April 2023
I wouldn't pay for her and would just play dumb if they ask. Honestly, I probably wouldn't bring her on the tour though. My wife, son and I went to Ireland together but my son is only 5 and the bus leaves at 7 a.m. and gets you back to Dublin close to 8:00 p.m.. it is a very long day. I wanted to see Northern Ireland more than my wife so they spent the day swimming at the hotel (in Dublin) and just walking around. If you do bring your daughter, just remember that there are no bathrooms on the bus and they do not stop a lot.
It is a damn good tour though but just be prepared for a long day.

When we went in December 2022, we were told that the rope bridge is closed to tour groups. So we went to Dunluce Castle instead.
I don't know if the rope bridge is open to non-groups or if it's permanently closes.

This tour did not have hotel pick ups. One was at the Starbucks on College Green right by Trinity College and the other was on O'Connell across the river.
