    A must do in Dublin!!!!!!
This was our favorite thing we did in Dublin over our 3 days! We attended only the show portion 8-930pm on our first night in Dublin and it was the best welcome to the town and intro. to Irish music and dancing. My sister and I were also laughing out loud the whole show. We both left and said how we couldn’t stop smiling the whole time because it was just so fun!!

    A Great Night!
We booked this evening, not with a tour, which gives you a more random group. First you are served a first-class meal in the beautiful hotel. The service is top notch and I Highly recommend the Guinness Stew, the best I had in Ireland. You are then escorted down to the basement for a fun hour of live music and Irish dancing.

    Really authentic Irish show!
The Irish House Party Show was an amazing experience, definitely a must see when in Dublin, if you want to have a taste of the real Irish welcome and culture! The atmosphere was very intimate and authentic and all the performers were so talented. The show was really entertaining, we could have watched them playing, dancing, and listening to their stories for hours. Highly recommended!

Amazing show with a fantastic meal. They were very entertaining if you want a traditional irish night out then put this on your list. Book in advance it sells out often. Oh and the den bar down stairs is one of the best pubs in dublin.

Excellent dinner and brilliant show - highly recommend.
Had a lovely 3 course traditional Irish dinner before going downstairs to the music and dancing show. 4 amazing musicians and a fabulous Irish Dancer, the night we went. Really engaged with the audience. Superb evening.

    Fun evening out
The Irish House party at the Lansdown Hotel made a very enjoyable conclusion to a few days in Dublin. Impossible to sit still to the music, feet tapping, hands clapping joining in the chorus and laughing. Totally bewitched by the speed of the dancer's feet and legs, not to mention her calm smile while performing at such speed! At the end of the evening one of the musicians gave us a private demo of the Bodhran drum, encouraging us to try it for ourselves. Great fun and highly recommended.

    Incredible Irish Folk Experience
I came to the Irish House Party as a chaperone visiting from the ‘States. We got to enjoy a lovely series of Irish folk songs and participate in some traditional Irish dances while learning about the different types of dances and instruments. The band were super friendly and professional. The kids absolutely loved it! It was hands down one of greatest highlights of our experience in Ireland. Most of us would gladly come back again. If you’re looking to have some good ‘crack’ (as the locals say) in Dublin, this is certainly a fine place to do so! 10/10 Cheers!

    Excellent
An evening filled with talented musicians and a fantastic dancer. This is an intimate setting where you feel a part of the how. This was an awesome way to spend our last night in Ireland and one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend this unique show.

    Irish inheritance very cozy
The experience begins with a dinner at the restaurant of the lansdowne hotel, tables reserved and a 3 plate menu( regular but tasty)! After dinner you get down to the little theater and the ensemble presents an intimate show of irish music, instruments and solo tap dance! 90 min that pass fast and you regret the end! Not cheap nor expensive but worth the experience!

    So much fun!
I love Irish music and I thought this might not live up to my expectations but it exceeded them! The group is fun and sings lots of different tunes. Whether you’re new to Irish music or have loved it for years, you will enjoy this!

    A Feel Great Party
This small venue offered a big entertainment with the talented artists on stage. Without a reservation we enjoyed a menu item in the bar area and seating afterwards for the show. Front row seating gave us a wonderful view of the entire show. Great music, dancing and commentary. Felt like a house party. 🤩

    Take in Irish traditions
There are four people doing the entertaining and story telling. One guy played guitar and was the main singer, one girl played fiddle and the harp, one girl played a drum and did some traditional Irish dances and one guy played the drum and the flute. They played some traditional Irish music and told the background of the songs, the one dancer showed us different types of Irish dancing. We did this as part of a Collette tour and we had a three course dinner before the show.

    What an amazing night!
My Mom and I had the pleasure of attending the Irish House Party this past March 2019. We were greeted by a friendly woman who escorted us to the pub before dinner. Cute little area. Dinner was fantastic! The food was food and service was great! Then the show...wow! The story telling between songs, explanations, talented musicians and an incredible dancer made this my favorite excursion in Ireland. This is a MUST DO when in Dublin!

    House Party
I do a lot of research when I go to different countries and read all of the reviews and wanted to do a family Irish dinner and show. I have 5 teenagers and wanted to reserve something that would be fun and entertaining for them. When you see the words “house party” you think of upbeat music, exciting, and people having a good time. Well that’s what we see in America, anyways. Ireland must have a different interpretation of “house party”. We went to a nice hotel about 10 minutes from the main strip and sat in a nice dining room with about 30 other guests. We had 3 options for starters and 4 options for the entree. They also have a kids menu option. The meal was very good. Our table had the chicken stuffed with herb stuffing, baked salmon, Guinness stew, and chicken fingers. All were very good and large portions. Dessert was ice cream and chocolate cake. Also good. When finished you go downstairs to the bar and enter a hall that has theater type seating. When the band got on stage they were very solemn, didn’t smile, and felt awkward. There were three musicians on stage. The man was humorous at times but there weren’t any get up out of your seats and sing and dance moments either. The music was fun to listen to if you were 30+ in age. My teenagers thought it was extremely boring. The show could’ve been better if they were entertainers and not just simple musicians and interacted with the crowd.

Real traditional Irish music, stories and dance in Dublin
If your in Dublin looking for an activity to do I would highly recommend going to see the Irish House Party at The Lansdowne Hotel. I took my wife out for the dinner and evening show and it was well worth it. The dinner was limited but very good, and the show was second to none with what we have seen while in Dublin. The place was packed with people who were clapping along with the beat. The musicians and dancer are extremely talented personal and entertaining. So if your in Dublin going through trip advisor like we were looking for some traditional Irish music book a couple of tickets for the Irish House Party, you will not be disappointed. Its also a family friendly show

This show is aces. The musicians were fantastic, and we felt fortunate to be able to see the dancing of Jean Kennedy, who used to dance with Riverdance and is just outstanding. Lots of laughs in the show and some poignant ballads too. The musicianship and singing was top-notch and I would have given this five stars if it were just about the show.

The problem was with dinner. We booked for our family of four (two adults, two teenagers) on our own. When we arrived, we were seated in the very lovely dining room. Great! However, a huge busload arrived at the same time as we did and the host came over and told us we had to move to a side room where the bar was to sit by ourselves because they didn't have enough room for all the bus people. It was pretty galling to have to move into an empty room like second-class citizens seeing as we paid as much (if not more!) than the busload.

The host apologized and offered us a free round of drinks, but we were disappointed. It wasn't handled very well, both in the planning (we booked way in advance so the organizers should have known the numbers) and in the execution. Asking us to move was pretty uncool and embarrassing to boot.

I guess the moral is watch out for the busses!

Great atmosphere, great food, great beer and drinks and an excellent traditional Irish music group accompanied by a dancer with an excellent performance. That's all we found at the Irish House Party.

You can come and just watch the music show but if you can the dinner don't miss it, the salmon and leek and brie cheese were delicious.

It's definitely a place I highly recommend visiting on your days off to sample the food and listen to traditional Irish music.

To have a great time with good food, good drinks, and excellent traditional Irish music, this is the place.

A beautiful Townhouse where you can start with some rounds of drinks while you wait for the show, dinner is optional and was delicious. Three-course menu with starter, main course, and dessert.

The musicians are amazing and very funny, they tell the story of their instruments and the songs in a very entertaining way. The dancer demonstrated traditional dances that look very difficult to perform. Great place to go on your visit to Dublin.

What a fun evening of food and song! I found the listing on Trip advisor and knew a little of the music culture from Ireland from my readings and from friends who had travelled to Ireland before so I thought it would be a fun night for the family and I was not disappointed!

I thoroughly enjoyed the music and the food and they kept us engaged and I learned a lot about the Uilleann pipes and it was truly fascinating. The sound and warmth of the music was great and it is definitely a thing worth doing if you have the time.

As a complete side note, the Landsdowne Hotel had the best pint of Guinness that I had in Dublin and I’m sure there may be other areas that may contend but it was definitely my finest pint during my short stay.

We did the Irish House Party Dinner and Show the first night we were in Dublin. It was such a great start to our trip! We loved everything! The food was great, tasty and loved the vegetable soup! The staff were kind, courteous and attentive. The show itself was absolutely fabulous! It really started our trip off with a bang by hearing Irish music and seeing Irish dance! The musicians were all great and had a great sense of humor. The show was interactive and it wasn’t overly long. I would highly recommend this show to anyone looking to experience traditional Irish music and dance.

An absolutely wonderful evening, I highly recommend. The Irish Dance Party sings, dances, jokes, tells Irish history, and includes the audience in a fun-loving way. The 4 musicians were incredibly talented, each playing at least two instruments, and the woman who does the Irish dancing was excellent. The variety between song and dance was refreshing, and in between, Gerry (the lead guitar and assumed leader of the band) would tell jokes, have the audience sing along (THAT was hilarious), or explain Irish history. It is an appropriate and fun evening for all ages, including children. We left feeling uplifted and laughed all the way back to the hotel, recalling Gerry's jokes.

This was an extremely entertaining, educational and generally enjoyable way to spend an evening. We consider ourselves lucky to have been able to enjoy the show as they had just opened a few weeks previous. However, the effects of continuing Covid limitations could be felt. The current format was not a dinner show, it is dinner in the pub and then a show in a separate hall. I think for the atmosphere they want to achieve the distinction is important. It also seemed like they were limited in the number of performers. So kudos to the brilliant performers who were there for getting the show back up and running, 4 stars, but I left wanting more. We will be back again when there are no more restrictions.

From start to finish, this evening kept getting better and better. We enjoyed a delicious meal with an adult beverage followed by top notch entertainment. The talent from these musicians and performers was absolutely amazing and we were provided with such a fun evening. The Irish really are such warm and friendly people and this show exhibited it all. Thank you Irish House Party Dinner and Show…we’ll be back again.

We went here our first night in town so after being awake for 20 hours I was worried we would be tired. No! The dinner was nice but the show was really funny and entertaining. It really felt like being in someones home for a little party!
