From the very begining, in meeting Dara who set the scene, the entire tour, right to the end when Dara ended with a very balanced conclusion, it was an outstanding experience. Dara is very knowledgeable indeed, giving us excellent accounts and very important reminders of a time in our Irish history we should never forget. It is because of the bravery of those fighting for our freedom that we have our lovely peaceful country now. What a great initiative of yours Dara, to come up with this most important tour. We were a group of 10, English & Irish & a wheelchair user. It is a perfect tour for a wheelchair user, as the tour was mainly on the flat with about 2 slight ‘walk ups’. Dara was very mindful of our wheelchair user throughout the walk. I would highly recommend this tour & it is especially wheelchair friendly. I would bring others on this walk again.

This is a great tour for anyone interested in the history of Ireland regardless of prior knowledge or understanding.
Dara was a great tour guide, he was very informative and kept the tour interesting and informal throughout.
The stories that were told and the detail into how this effected the war were fascinating.
Dara’s communication was excellent from the first enquiry and even provide recommendations for place to eat and drink in the city after the tour had finished.

I found the Rebel City Walking Tour very enjoyable and Dara was a very informative and friendly tour guide. I am a native of Cork city and was astounded at just how much history is on every street we walk down particularly in relation to the Civil War. I learned so much from this. The tour route was friendly walking terrain (no steep hills!) and Dara took it at a very comfortable pace, which was very accommodating to all age groups and mobility levels. Really enjoyed it and discovering about people and historical events that took place in our rebel county.

Dara was very friendly and I left feeling like I new a lot about the burning of Cork and the history of the war. All the stop points were close together - it was a well planned and mapped out tour. Thank you!
