Our party was both locals and visitors, child through young adults to grandmother, and all of us adored the show. Actually it's more of an experience than just a show, as we were immersed in the set, with the cast serving our food and chatting away.
The history of Cork was very funny, interesting, educational, tender in parts and, overall, a celebration of Cork.
So, excellent show, warm and welcoming, value for money, and great fun for all. I definitely recommend taking any visitors and enjoying it yourself!

Very entertaining and charming hosts. Classic songs and the right balance of brief or longer show sections while allowing a nice chat and food in between. They were very family friendly too, and took pains to include children in the audience in the show.

We went to this as a family outing for my husband's birthday and we really enjoyed the evening. My kids are 13, 12, 10 and 7 and all got a great kick and a laugh out of the experience but also learned alot. This is such a fun, accessible way for everyone to learn history- I think the theatre should make a tour the schools of Cork!
The simple props were so effective at switching scenes and the actors were clearly enjoying their roles. They were also really welcoming and happy to talk more about the stories after the show.
I was impressed that the more painful parts of our history like the penal laws and the famine were handled respectfully while still bringing fun to the other bizarre episodes in Cork history.
I would highly recommend it to anyone!

A group of us (family and friends) from Cork, Galway, Tipperary and Boston attended this show last week. Pearse, Marie, Darragh and Claire were excellent! We laughed and sang our way through the performance. What a talented group of people! Would highly recommend this show. The food, the atmosphere and the experience were amazing.

This is an experience everyone visiting Cork should attend. Not only were the actors entertaining, but provided great tips for visiting the city within their skits. Hysterical Histories was exactly that - both hysterical and informative!
Recommend anyone attending to come hungry (plenty of food provided!) and thirsty!
The actors are extremely talented and personable. The food tasty and plentiful. And the theatre a fantastic historic site.

A must do if you are in Cork! The entire experience was excellent! The play was wonderful, a well researched walk through Cork (and Irish) history that was informative, hilarious and at times, serious. The acting was great, the cast is remarkably friendly and the food was on point. We loved it!

This is an insanely enjoyable (and delicious) evening of food and drinks, stories, songs, and history, all with Cork artists involved. You hear an entire history of the city in hilarious bite-sized chunks. The pub itself is the oldest one in Cork and a landmark. The whole event was delightful from start to finish. Recommended for all ages!

The show was very funny and full of historical facts about Cork. The traditional pub setting and friendly and attitude of the cast really added to the welcoming atmosphere.
The food was delicious, and they were able to accommodate my dietary requirements when I contacted them ahead of time. Excellent value for money.

This is a fantastic and fun show. It takes place in one of Cork's oldest pubs and teaches you lots of interesting tidbits about Cork and its history. The show is entertaining and the food delicious. Definitely worth it.

We watched it for 2 hours without getting bored. We loved the way Cork's history was told and the harmony with the songs. And of course, I can't help but mention its delicious food. This is worth watching. Also, thank you for the sincere conversations before and after the show.
