About
This tour visits the two most famous towns in the Cork region: Blarney and Cobh! We begin the day with a scenic drive to Blarney. We allow plenty of time in Blarney to give you the chance to visit the world famous Blarney Castle and gardens, and to kiss the Blarney Stone and take home the gift of the gab. We can also explore the magnificent gardens and visit the witch of Blarney. Admission to the castle is included. SAVE 12 EURO!!! Later, we make our way to Great Island to explore the town of Cobh. Cobh is situated on the Cork harbor and is famous as the point of embarkation for millions of Irish emigrants travelling away from Ireland during the 1800s and 1900s. It was also the last stop of the Titanic. You will enjoy free time in Cobh. Consider visiting the magnificent St Coleman's Cathedral, or the award winning Titanic Experience, an exhibition in the original White Star line building!

Nice But
Aug 2019
Blarney Castle known by many the world over is somewhat disappointing in that it is run-down in the first place. The Blarney Stone a long climb to thee top is hardly worth the trip let alone the kiss. There are millions of lipstick stains to taste if you opt for the kiss. Good luck to all those that make the trip, sorry for the disappointment. Enjoy the stores and knits that can be found anywhere throughout the world.

The ground around castle are very pretty. There is a lot of shopping there also but a visit to the castle can take up a good part of the day Long lines to enter and longer lines if you want to kiss the blarney stone

Worst bus tour yet
We’ve been on many bus tours and this one is the worst of the worst. The bus was not a coach, more like a run down city bus. Uncomfortable, no air control, and rode like it was on square wheels. Worst of all because it was full my wife and I had to sit in two seats that faced the back of the bus! Definitely didn’t help with dealing with our rising nausea.

To make matters worse the driver/tour guide drove like he wanted to be somewhere else. He was grouchy to the point tourists were afraid to ask him questions! Apparently he is also thin skinned because at one point he announced “if all of you are going to talk then I am not”, which took all of us by surprise since he wasn’t saying anything before that anyway.

I would definitely check out the other tour operators before booking with Paddy Wagon.

Go for the castle, stay for the gardens
Aug 2019 • Couples
I actually enjoyed the gardens more than the castle itself. The castle was great too. There were a few times I was a bit uncomfortable with the heights and you’re standing in line a bit. So if you’re afraid of heights, I’d suggest holding off on this one. Otherwise it was a good visit.

Relax day tour
Me and my wife have join this relax tour in August. Everything is great and we have enough time to travel in Blarney Castle. However, if would be better if we can have more time in Cobh.
And it is better to pre-order the ticket of Titanic Experiences before the tour. Since, we haven’t do so and we cannot have the experience immediately. So we need to stay behind at cobh.

A day well spent
Aug 2019
This was a great day. We were dropped off at Blarney Castle just before 10. Our driver told us to be back at the coach for 1200. Exploring the castle was amazing. I recommend walking up the 100 or so steep stairs to kiss the Blarney Stone. The views are absolutely worth it.. Whilst you're there, check out the dungeon and the cave.

At 1200 we made our way to Cobh. It's a 45 minute journey so if you're travelling solo like me, have a book or music for the journey. St Colman's Cathedral is up some steep stairs but once you get to the top it's a majestic church. Don't leave Cobh without going to the Titanic experience. You'll be back in Cork by 4pm

Overall, a wonderful day. If however you're a vegan like me, it might be worth it to have a packed lunch. Whilst there were plenty of options in Cork, I couldn't find any vegan friendly places in Cobh but luckily I had some snacks.

Celebrity Cruise Port
Jun 2019 • Friends
Bus driver / tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and was very humorous. Short bus ride from the port to Blarney Castle - great views of the countryside along the way. The ground of the castle were beautiful. Had a certain amount of time in the location so we chose to explore the grounds rather than wait on the long line to see/kiss the stone and was well worth it!! On the ride throughout Cork, the tour guide was very thorough to point out as much as possible along the route. Back in Cobh, dropped off at the Cathedral, which is amazing, and then requested to walk back to the ship to explore the city. Visited local pubs and walked around the town, highly recommend doing that!!

Hey homeruntaz, Thank you for your review of the CORK SHORE EXCURSION with Paddywagon Tours. We're delighted to hear you had an enjoyable experience from pick-up at Cobh port and throughout the day. We agree - the gardens are pretty impressive for all those customers who don't want to kiss the Blarney stone. We hope to see you on another trip in the future! PW Team

Cork and Blarney Castle
Jun 2019 • Couples
Richard O’Brien was an excellent driver and guide. Very helpful, funny and informative! Offered helpful advice for the rest of our trip also. Regarding the trip, definitely not enough time at Blarney Castle. Very rushed to make it through the line and did not have any time to visit the shops at all. Could have skipped Cork and just gone here! Overall great recommendation though.

Great Tour as Shore Excursion
Jun 2019 • Couples
We were on MSC Orchestra and docked in Ringaskiddy. I was concerned that I might have to figure out how to get to Cobh to get on the bus but when we got off the ship there were 10 of us that hopped on a waiting small bus. We had a great day. Our driver/guide was excellent and he got us to Blarney Castle and in the gate 15 minutes before it opened to everyone else. We were the first ones to get to the stone. We wished we would have used Paddywagon for other shore excursions in Ireland. Will definitely use them in the future.

Great method of transportation
We did the Blarney and Cobh tour with Jameson experience. If you’re debating doing these things- DO it! I wouldn’t necessarily call this a tour. It’s basically a ride to each location and then you go on your own tours, which we actually loved. It’s a great way to get to these sites without having to drive. You start by getting dropped off at Blarney for 2 hours, then head to Cobh 2 hours where you can eat lunch and do the Titanic Museum/Tour, then you can either go back to Cork and be done or head to the Jameson Experience for 2 hours. We did it all and would definitely recommend everything! Also, buying all of these tours through Paddywagon in advance is cheaper than buying them at the actual site!
