Better late than never

It's hard to choose my favorite part of the bike tour! I loved going out to Fitzgerald Park and just beyond it, where the River Lee parts into two and flows on to cradle the city as it flows into the salt water where the port is and eventually, the ocean. I would definitely advise people to be on time for the tour, unlike me! I was so late that I missed the start of the tour. But I did find the bicycle that had been meant for me, which miraculously was unlocked, so I donned the helmet and high viz vest and set out on the bike path along the river, thinking well maybe I'll just find them.... Twenty minutes later or so it wasn't looking good for me. But as I approached Fitzgerald Park, a man on a bicycle rolled up beside me and said, Mary? It turned out to be Bryan, the tour guide (who is also a fiction writer, it turns out), with six or seven in the group coasting along behind him. They all gave me such a warm welcome and seemed to forgive me for having held them up at the beginning, which I'm sure my lateness did. I had missed the Shandon part of the tour, but I became one of the gang for the rest of the tour and learned a lot about Cork from the seat of a bicycle, surely one of the best ways to see anything.

Fantastic introduction to Cork City

We had a great experience with Alan Noonan. He adapted the tour on the fly to focus on the areas of town we were most interested in and stayed an extra 45 minutes to wrap up the tour. Very knowledgeable of the history of the city and will sing you several clever ditties showcasing the wit of Corkians!

A ‘must’ experience whilst in Cork. Amazing!! James is an awesome guide. Greatest bike tour!
We went on a bike tour today around Cork. We booked online and James was there, ready to greet us. He asked us our heights prior to the meet, so the bikes were a perfect fit.

We rode all around Cork, ( I don’t want to do any spoilers!) he was providing so much history, stories and tales (plus lots of laughs)

I didn’t want the bike tour to end.

It’s a must do whilst in Cork.

James, you’re a legend. We thank you!

excellent tour with James. Nice easy pace with numerous stops where he gave loads of information about Cork, its history & its people.
The bikes were new and of great quality, well capable of tackling the couple of hills on the tour. A very enjoyable 3 hours for the whole family. Would definitely recommend.

All you could want in a 3 Hr bike tour
We loved this ride with James! We saw many sites in Cork and James told story’s about all of them. He is not only informative but also kind, charming and personable. All the bikes were in great condition and easy to ride (even on the two hills we had to climb). We covered historical, cultural and scenic parts of the city. We really couldn’t ask for more! Take this tour you will love it!

Best thing we did on Cork!

James was our guide and he was fantastic. He has an amazing knowledge of the city, its history and how Cork has had its influence not only in the country but on the world stage. The cycle was relaxed with lots of stops and full of fascinating facts and stories. You won't see Cork the same again after this trip. Real insight and just a fabulous thing to do in the city. Could not recommend highly enough!

Fun Cycling in Cork City!

Did the Cork City Cycle Tour with James and Leonard and had an excellent experience!

This is a great way to see Cork City if you’re tight on time. This was our first time here and we saw and learned about more of the City than we would have on our own!
We passed Cork’s main points of interest and heard the interesting history behind each site, combined with humour and the opportunity to ask questions.

The pace of the cycling was very fair - Cork is pretty bike-friendly and there are frequent stops. I am not the most physically “fit” and had no trouble keeping up. Doable for most adults and even children.

Overall, if you enjoy cycling, history, and a good time, this is a must-do!

Great Cork City bike tour.

James has all the enthusiasm and knowledge to operate and present a tour of Cork City Ireland. His bikes are kept in good shape. He is familiar with the landmarks and the stories abounding around them. James is careful to look out for those on his tours. I would recommend James and his company most highly.
