Catch your coach in Cork, where you can settle in to a comfortable seat and enjoy the views on the ride to Killarney: the day's first stop. Have a look around the town before proceeding to Killorglin, home to the ancient Puck Fair, a Celtic festival dating to 1613.  Proceed along the Ring of Kerry to the Dingle Peninsula, where you stop at Inch Beach, Dingle Bay, and other spots to get views of the Skellig Islands. Next up is Waterville, perched on Ballinskelligs Bay and home to one of Ireland's most famous golf clubs. Drive through the colorful village of Sneem, where the Sneem River meets Kenmare Bay, and then on to Killarney National Park, one of the first in Ireland. Make a stop at the tumbling Torc Waterfall and maybe see some of the local red deer before heading back to Cork.  With all the driving on narrow roads, you'll be glad you booked a tour including transportation instead of going it on your own.

      Wonderful tour!
We just completed our 3rd tour in 3 days with Paddywagon tours from Cork, and can not recommend them enough! We had plenty of time at each stop, to explore, shop or etc. on the cliffs of Moher tour we stopped at the Frantic Chef for lunch, which had lots of delicious choices. If your tour stops here, I would recommend taking your food upstairs to eat, if at all possible, in order to avoid the cramped high table on the main level. Our tour guide for all three tours was DJ, who did a marvelous job of keeping us running on time and safely. My husband and I very much enjoyed chatting with him. My recommendations for this tour: be on time, and be sure to stop at the office to check in before heading to the bus, as they have several buses and stops and you’ll want to be directed toward the right one!

      Great Experiences
I took two trips with Paddywagon. One to the cliffs of Moher the other one to Blarney Castle. The buses were clean, and in good shape. The drivers were very personable and friendly. I had a great time speaking driver/manager DJ, especially.

      Beautiful Day
Absolutely stunning views! Our driver/guide John was fantastic. We had enough time to take in the sights of the Cliffs and the Burren. A day we’ll never forget.

Turned out well and with good speed to Blarney!
We had an overall enjoyable time with Paddywagon on our cruise visit to Cobh. A few notes, though, with first to say we thankfully had no cause to find issues as our arrival happened smoothly at port. Guide Gabriel was nearby at the exit gate, and the bus, although not immediately obvious from the ship, was very close by. For those concerned about the 30-minute start window, it felt like there was very reasonable consideration and effort to allow for everyone to make their way. Do, however, continue to give enough time to make the way back to the meeting site. This isn't a particular fault - our guide did his best! - but Blarney and Kinsale can be full and difficult to visually pinpoint where to reconvene once off. Lastly, the tour commentary has plenty of opportunity for song, of which Gabriel deftly provided as part of narration along the tour. We found it a charming part of the occasion, but if expectations are more straightforward, be forewarned. Notes aside, there's still quite much to like! Our tour was comfortable, pleasant, informative, and with a certain nimble efficiency - despite being a coach excursion, Gabriel did get the group going and at Blarney Castle before the ship's rush arrived. The later lines wound very long, for which we were collectively very happy to enjoy more of the stunning grounds and gardens (or nearby shops) instead. Kinsale was similarly just enough time for a look around, if not quite a full meal, and Cork and Cobh formed the lightest through-parts of the drive. As with any limited visit, each stop could certainly have used much more time, but it still felt like the schedule and Gabriel tried to give us as much time as was feasible. All in all, we appreciated our Paddywagon day with Gabriel and remain pretty impressed with the Blarney Castle handling. Can recommend to consider in any cruise planning for Cobh!

On the 30th November we went on an excursion from cork to cliff of moher and we were supposed to stop off at limerick and another place which was on the itinery but the driver only stopped off at the cliff and we were disappointed as it was included in the price package!

      Lovely Experience
Tour is focused mostly on Nature/Sightseeing but has some great tidbits about history as well. It was exactly what I was expecting after reading the itinerary - there are no surprises and the Guide Keith was incredible.

Blarney castle was just that a lot of blarney.
We went to Blarney Castle on a Princess Cruise excursion. Big mistake. We had 2 hours at the Blarney Castle and the lineups to go through the castle were two hours. So we spent two hours standing in a slow moving line with most of the time standing in the same place for 5 minutes at a time before you finally make it to the Blarney stone. Big hype and a waste of time. The castle itself is okay but nothing special there are so many better castles to see such as Caernarfon Castle in Holyhead, Wales which made Blarney castle well... a lot of blarney. If you do go, you need atleast 3 hours or more to see the grounds and adjoining areas and preferably on a non-busy time of year.

Blarney castle & Kinsale by Paddywagon tours
we booked our tour , credit card was charged on Monday September 18,2023 . I came down with a cold and coughing and wanted to cancel but on Tuesday we ended up at sea as we couldn't go into Guerney due to weather conditions so we were at sea for the day and unable to communicate with Paddywagon to cancel due to no wifi nor able to call by cell phone. Wednesday September Sept 20 we didn't leave ship due to my cold and not wanting to infect others .So we didn't show up for th e tour so out $197.00 . Got a hold Paddywagon via email said to call Viator , no refund . So i give it a zero rating .

Cliffs of Moher is a must-see
Stunning views at the Cliffs of Moher! Very big fog, but still a must-see. The only suggestion is that the castle of the last stop deserve more time. I'd like to enter and see the interior of it. I don't mind skip the lunch.

      MEH !!
We took this tour after reading many reviews but clearly my expectations are way higher than most. I would not recommend this tour to anyone....very boring and way too much time on the bus for what you see. The explanation of tour was very misleading. No actual stops other than at the Cliffs and once there nothing much to do. The driver/tour guide was less than enthused and looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there. We went on a tour a few days before with another tour company and the difference was night and day in presentation and enthusiasm. The guide from the other company filled our ride with cute anecdotes, colourful commentary and suggestions for other things to do. The Paddywagon guide talked only when he HAD to and was even the last one on the bus (late) before our last departure. The Cliffs are great but only if you go on your own dime and time and not as a full day tour. My friends and I could not wait to get off this bus. I would not even suggest this tour with a "good" company as I can't see any great guide making this rather mundane trip worth the drive and money.

      Cork to Cliffs of Moher
A nicer option would have been to visit the Burren caves or Bunratty Castle vs just the pit stop or drive by. The ride back was long but nice touch with the Irish music. The tour guide/bus driver was great. Thank you Brian! Stop at the Cliffs was just long enough. Did not need the added lunch stop, (company restaurant/cash grab) could have picked something at the Cliffs cafe. First Ireland tour, we usually do it all on our own, will choose other stop options if we ever tour again.

      Great tour
Prompt, engaging guide who enabled us to see the Blarney Stone w/o having to wait in a long line; We, therefore, had more time to spend exploring the grounds and were able to visit other places as well

A very enjoyable shore excursion from Cobh.
Our driver Podge was friendly and informative and dedicated to showing us around his beautiful country. Our day began at the Blarney Castle. We were one of the first tour buses to arrive, so there were no lines to get into the castle. The views were incredible. The rain did not dampen our experience. I could have spent all day in the Blarney Woolen Mills. A very large, beautiful selection of Irish gifts. Next we headed to Kinsale. Unfortunately, a couple who didn't think the stated time to return to the bus applied to them, and they were inadvertently left behind. A call to the driver ten minutes after we left, and we had to turn around and go back. This cut into our time in Kinsale, and could have been prevented by counting the passengers, or someone speaking up about the empty seats near them. Anyway, we went on to Kinsale and had time only for lunch before having to get back to our ship, which was leaving at 4 pm. Podge shared a lot of Irish history with us, and inspired me to learn more about the home of my ancestors.

      Wonderful Experience
The Cliffs of Moher were beautiful. The lunch restaurant was so cozy and the Fish and Chips were excellent. We made a 3rd stop at a small shopping area with food and a castle. We only had 30 minutes there. I would not stopping at the additional cliffs and had a longer time at the last stop. Aiden our bus driver was very funny and did a great job. I highly recommend.

Our tour guide Brian was very mean and nasty to the guests. He wouldn’t allow us to speak to each other on the bus or he said wouldn’t tell us anything else for the tour. One passenger got the point of asking was he ever a teacher because he was treating us all like children the entire day. He refused to help me with putting my moms wheelchair under storage and because of this, he didn’t notice when he opened the under storage door that the wheelchair was stuck. When I went to shift the wheelchair, the door fell on me, injuring my leg and smashing my arm. Even then, Brian did not help. Another passenger had to yell at him to open the door to release my arm. Another paggywagon tour guide nearby laughed, insisting I was drunk. Neither Brian nor the other guide stepped in neither to help nor did he apologize for me getting hurt.

Besides this poor experience, the actual tour itself was not what we paid for. Brian seemed to want to go home early for the day, so we only got 40 minutes in Killarney town center. This gave you about enough time to sprint to one thing you could see and sprint back. Only 5 people in our tour actually made it to the town center and they were all sweating and panting when they returned. Despite not getting to see this, we kept on with the tour to find out we would not see half of the sites listed in the itinerary. Brian decided to drive past dingle bay because he didn’t like how many cars were parked so we missed the entirety of the experience. I sincerely wished I had just drove myself and my mom, and we could’ve enjoyed the day much more. Within one hour of the tour I noted this and even took it as far as to research the cost of an Uber back to our car in cork to drive ourselves back. We were undeniably displeased with this experience and I would highly recommend just driving yourself through and reading the signs of information as you go. Trust me you’d have a better day. I don’t know how this company was awarded anything, by far one of the worst tours I’ve been on. Spare yourself the bad day. Brian should find a new job, something he actually enjoys. Because people and touring just isn’t his calling.

The radio was extremely loud and noisy - may you should take some headphones with you.
The bus stop in Killarney was unnecessary for us because either you pay the horse ride through the national park or you hang around for 1 hour bored in the city.
The landscapes are amazing and the driver gave some interesting information about the Irish history and connected these with the places we drove by.

I’m giving this a 5 even though a small child was somehow allowed on the tour as the web site clearly states 18 years and older.

She chatted, at times quite noisily, throughout the entire day on the bus tour. Scoured looks from the white haired gentleman sitting directly in front of her did nothing to deter her behavior or cause the mother or grandmother to attempt anything to quiet the child down. Neither did the driver asking for quiet among passengers so that all could hear his commentaries have any effect.
DJ, our driver, was indeed hard to hear at times and I was sitting only about 5 rows back. Other than the noise machine on board, he was an excellent tour guide, very good driver and had some brilliant stories and comments.

Anyway, the scenery was luscious green, views of the Atlantic beautiful with white caps and sprays from waves smashing the rocks. Even with occasional bouts of rain, hard at times, it was a beautiful sometimes blustery day. The stops do not provide enough time to see the sights or shop at a few of the really nice gift shops along the way. One was Waterville, the other I can’t remember at the moment.

It would take several days to do this area justice and I would not want to be the one driving!

    Oof. Where to begin...

This was, in short, one of the worst travel experiences I have had. The Ring of Kerry itself is gorgeous, but find another provider or means of visiting.

The bus was as advertised as having as inclusive “ Air -conditioned vehicle /
WiFi on board/ USB Ports at every Seat.”

The bus had none of those things. This was more than an inconvenience and resulted in a number of us losing our phone batteries, unable to use them for pictures or communication.

The temperature in the bus for those in the back was also excessively uncomfortable throughout as the AC appeared not to be working.

The bus had clearly also not been cleaned prior to departure. The seat in front me of had old chewed gum and liquid stains, and most were in similar condition. In the time of Covid, this is more than an oversight.

Even worse, one passenger became nauseous and vomited at the back of the bus. The driver/ guide had no cleaning supplies and put the responsibility for cleaning the accident on the passenger. The passenger did not clean or disinfect the mess adequately (using napkins from a restaurant), and the driver/guide made no attempt to address this for the remaining half of the trip.

The guide, further, was repeatedly rude and abrasive throughout.

This was all hugely disappointing and falsely advertised. The Irish landscape redeemed it somewhat, which is more than I can say for the company. They were (unsurprisingly) unapologetic and non-responsive after my first inquiry for a refund.

The trip itself was fine and the tour/bus operator was great. Overall do think it is worthwhile but know that you are giving up a whole day for the trip which is mostly spent on a bus. In hindsight I may have opted to not do this trip. The driver was great and made the day very enjoyable! He was very knowledge and told great stories. Just not sure I'd opt to spend a whole day on the bus again.

This experience felt like secret handshakes were made behind the scenes and businesses were recommended at each stop despite them not being the best business in the area. The pictures on the advertisement showed areas not offered on the tour, so that was disappointing- the driver recommended coming back in a personal car to see all of the things the tour didn’t offer, which seemed a little counterintuitive. The bus was clean, the driver was polite. 3/4 through the trip the drivers switched out and the second driver drove very aggressively. The tour was adequate if you want to look out of the bus at the countryside from the main road.

We had driving rain for most of this tour, although the sun broke out for our last stop of the day (Tolc waterfalls). Our driver Martin made sure we saw every location described in the offering. We had a nice cafeteria-style lunch where they were expecting us and the food was quite good and reasonably priced.

We enjoyed every moment of the Ring of Kerry tour from Cork. The scenery was amazing with rushing rivers, green pastures, sheep and baby lambs, the Atlantic Ocean near Dingle, Waterville with its stony beach and best of all Killarney National Park lakes and waterfalls. Our driver DJ was a one man band, comedian and bus driver all wrapped up one talented and good looking Irishman.

Paddywaggon’s John was knowledgeable and personable. We were quite lucky with the weather on a January day and felt like we saw many of the area’s highlights in a well planned tour which made the most of a limited number of daylight hours. We really enjoyed the anecdotes and history sprinkled throughout the journey and finally some nice Irish music to take us home. The Red Fox Inn offered rapid food service for lunch, which allowed for the tour to stay on track. Thanks for a great day out in such a gorgeous part of the world.

Really enjoyable trip around the beautiful Ring of Kerry. Our driver was great fun. Very informative and accommodating.
Made just the right amount of trips. Right choice for lunch stop at Waterville.
The recommended horse and cart trip in Killarney for 14 euros was worth doing.
Overall a good way to see a lot of Kerry in an easy and comfortable way. Well worth the cost.
