My tour guide was Shaun. He’s very funny, friendly and knowledgeable and made my first trip to Cork fantastic. The tour itself was incredible and made even better when the weather perked up. The dingle peninsula was so picturesque and beautiful. Inch beach was lovely. Killarney was the first stop of the trip and its a very pretty little town.I had lunch at the Harrington family owned fish and shop restaurant, which Shaun recommended and it was so tasty, followed by ice cream from Murphy, again recommended by Shaun. Fantastic selection of music. Highly recommended Paddywagon and will use them again next time.

I really enjoyed the tour. It was a spectacular day with practically every view worthy of being printed on a post card. Our driver/tour guide, Jimmy, was extremely friendly and made the tour even more enjoyable. This is my 3rd Paddy Wagon tour and very please with all of them. I highly recommend!

We did the half day tour starting at Dingle. Picked up at Heatons excellent guest house, drove the headlands in driving rain and wind, but still a fantastic trip. Tour of beehive huts, famed beaches, and Oratory. Spring would be grand with LOTS of fuschias.

We stumbled across this company while in Cork. We took the trip to the Cliffs of Moher and absolutely loved it. Our driver was entertaining and knowledgeable of local history. Disregard reviews fri people who criticize the company for the weather! Really? It’s Ireland. Dress for rain and wind! It didn’t dampen our spirits. It’s part of the adventure! The busses were clean and comfortable. USB outlets to charge your phone! Free wi-fi onboard. We enjoyed the trip so much that upon our return we booked two more trips the next two days (and asked for and received a discount). Dingle was a great tour. One bus takes everyone on Dingle Tour and Ring if Kerry tour from Cork to Killarney, where the Dingle Tour switches to a different bus. I noticed most people were going to the Ring of Kerry. Just a note: we thought the Dingle tour was much better (scenery-wise). All of our drivers were great. So glad we stumbled across this group.

Took the Dingle Peninsula Tour from Cork with Paddywagon Tours on June 9th which included the town of Killarney, Slea Head Drive, Inch Beach and the village of Dingle. The tour was excellent - only thing we would change is perhaps skipping the stop at Inch Beach. It is a very quick stop - not enough time to really do anything - think the time could be better spent elsewhere. Our tour guide/driver (Paudie) was wonderful - extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour!

Despite torrential rain on the day of our tour, the scenery on this trip is absolutely stunning. From Cork we stopped off for an hour in Killarney - lovely place but not much open so early. Fabulous rainbow in the wake of the rain made Killarney even more pretty. Inch Beach was gorgeous - even with the high winds. Slea Head drive through all shades of green and rugged, wild coastlines took our breath away. Dingle is a must - such a quaint village with friendly people and delicious seafood. Would definitely do this with a tour bus as the coastal roads are narrow and winding. Our drivers (John Cork to Killarney & Jimmy Kilarney to Dingle) were fantastic. Very extertaining and informative. We stopped at some amazing vistas en route for photos and even the driving rain didn't dampen our spirits. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed the scenery, and our driver/guide was excellent. However, we always felt rushed - hurry up, take photos, rush back to the bus, wait, and then do it all over again at the next stop. There was no time to really enjoy our stops. The hour in Killarney was a bust. I would rather have had that hour of time spread out over the other stops to more fully enjoy the scenery/quiet.
When we first arrived for the tour, we were given wrong information about the bus we were waiting for (buses were not marked or incorrectly marked). Near the end of the tour, we had to rejoin our original group. That bus was close to an hour late, but due to the lack of communication, we stood in line outside a mall instead of being able to spend another hour in that town (Killarney). Additionally, the bus to Dingle was short/narrow, so the seats are narrow and cramped; the ride was not comfortable due to this mixed in with many bumps. We were on the Ring of Kerry bus to get to/from Killarney, and the bus/seats were fine.
We were going to do another tour, but after this experience, we chose not to.

Myself and two friends joined this tour and were not totally sure what to expect. Our bus for the Dingle tour was much smaller than the bus for the Ring of Kerry tour, but it was for the best! Our tour was much more relaxed and intimate and we didn't have to depend on 40 other people getting back to the bus on time during stops.
The bus driver was awesome, he provided interesting info but didn't overwhelm us with facts we wouldn't remember.
The Dingle Peninsula is absolutely breathtaking, and the tour was a great way to experience it without the stress of having to drive yourself though all the touristy areas.

We boarded the Paddy bus 830, for our dingle tour,, at this time we discovered most of the bus were on the derry tour , driver told us the dingle tour guests were to be put on another bus when we got to Kilranney, at kilranney 17 of us were directed on to anther bus operators bus for the dingle tour, this tour ran smoothly,, upon return to Kilranney the driver left us outside the bus station at 430 and told us paddy would collect us 530. 530 came and went with no paddy bus, it turned up 615, we had no paddy rep with us and we had no phone contact from.paddy, we felt abandoned. When the paddy bus arrived the driver said sorry for delay but wasnt interested when i raised a complant about our abandonment, and the fact this tour is not promoted as one where you change buses, driver, told me to put in an email, he was clearly dis interested and took no responsibility..
Once on the bus i was told one of us 17 had got a text from paddy saying the bus was late. This had not been communicated on, why did paddy not message all of us. It had our mobiles with the bookings. They shouldn't have left it all to one customer to communicate for them,,,It is an unacceptable way to deal with customers, ,, and to not mention the bus change in their publicity is atrocious sneakiness.

The trip passed through some incredibly beautiful countryside. Whe stopped in some great spots, and the guide was very informative and pleasant - did a fantastic job. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to see the countryside and learn about the area.
It is a long trip but with plenty of stops/ breaks and the buses are very comfortable - well worth it

I assume you could do that, if you let the tour director know that was your plan from the outset. We did see some beautiful countryside on the way back however, though at least from Killarney back to Cork, it was the same route.

Our ship, the Regal Princess, is arriving in Cobh on Sept 14. Is there any chance of getting picked up at the pier? We do not leave until 10PM so have the ability to take full day tours.

I doubt that. I visited Cobh the morning of the day we left Cork, and it is at least 15-20 minutes from the city. The tour bus has a specific pick-up location inside the city, at the Paddywagon office. You should be able to take a taxi from Cobh to the departure location for under $40 though.

Are buses air conditioned
Architectintravel
Costa Mesa, CA3 contributions
We were on two different buses through the company. I don't recall if they were air-conditioned, but I was not uncomfortable during our mid-September tour. However, it was probably about 60 deg. F. that day.

How large is the tour bus to Dingle? How many people are generally on this tour?
Architectintravel

The bus to Killarney would hold likely about 50 people, though it was not filled. There, we switched buses to what I was told was a smaller one to go out to Dingle (I was told the roads were narrow and did not accomodate a large bus, but the 2nd bus seemed about as large to me). I would say we had about 40 people to Killarney (they stayed on for the Ring of Kerry tour and were joined by others), then maybe 25 or so out to Dingle that day.
