    Friendly and informative!
Dr. Ennis was very friendly and informative. We enjoyed our tour immensely. Unfortunately, it was quite cold and rainy. We highly recommend this tour as it showed us a bit of Ireland that we would have otherwise missed out on. Thanks Dr. O'Brien!

A lovely time with an engaging guide :)
Our tour was with Dr Jane O'Brien. She was very engaging. She shared some interesting stories about Ennis and some of the residents from many years past. We truly enjoyed the walk around the town with Jane. She has an obvious love for Ennis and Ireland that came out in her stories. I would recommend a tour with Jane if you find yourself in Ennis.

    Lovely day in Ennis
Dr O'Brien included my interest in sculpture and other public art and history/stories about women into the tour. She was engaging and knowledgeable without being stiff. I was short on time and without a car. I contacted her on a Saturday morning and she arranged to meet me that afternoon. Afterward, on her recommendation, I caught a fantastic trad music session at a friendly local pub. Jane opened my eyes to the depth, history and heart of County Clare.

    Learning about Ennis
It was our first trip to Ireland and Ennis was our namesake. Jane did a wonderful job of showing us the historic parts of the city as well as going into great detail on County Clare and its importance in Ireland. We learned so many facts and were able to really understand Ennis and the importance it played. Jane was able to answer so many of our questions not only relating to Ennis but of Ireland as well.

Walk, look, listen, and learn - a fun exploration
Dr. O’Brien is very engaging and knowledgeable. She really brought what were were seeing to life and gave excellent background and context to what we were seeing. I learned so much about Ennis (including what the name means and how to pronounce it) and came away with a list of places to explore in more detail. This was a great experience and I haughty recommend it.

    Excellent Experience!
Jane O'Brien is a city treasure herself. She led myself and my lady around the streets of Ennis so smoothly and with excellent narration of its histories. She was very accommodating as we had a late arrival after a tour in Galway, we were so grateful to have had the chance to meet and learn all we did from her. Thank you, Jane!

Haunted Historical Walking Tour of Ennis Review
My family & I did a private walking tour with Jane around Ennis & had a very delightful & pleasant experience! This was our first time in Ireland & she helped us to feel very welcome as she was very accomodating in regards to my mother's special wheelchair needs. Jane definitely helped to make our trip more interesting by sharing information about the town's history as well as some dark stories about some of the town's former residents (and maybe still current residents!) I would definitely recommend taking a walk around town with Jane sometime. You never know what you might learn!

Really recommend this tour of Ennis which we did on 14 June 2021. It takes one hour. Jane is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide who conveys a great sense of the lives of the people of Ennis though the ages and of how the past remains embedded in the streets of Ennis today. Very enjoyable way to gain a deeper sense of the medieval town of Inis. Enjoy!

We took Jane's tour after being in Ennis for several days and were amazed to discover parts of the town that we hadn't yet explored. Jane told fascinating stories, really engaged with our group, which included several children, and was able to answer every question we had. Her account of the town's growth helped us to understand our family's roots in Ennis in the context of Irish history. Highly recommended!

Took Jane's walking tour this morning and thoroughly enjoyed it. She's a wonderful guide and historian who infused warmth and humor throughout her commentary. An added bonus that Ennis is her hometown. Thoroughly recommend her tour.

We were part of a training group this morning and had a very pleasant tour with Jane . She has an in-depth knowledge of Ennis both from a historical and architectural point of view. She also delivers very well and preempts any hiccup.
Well done Jane

My teenage daughters and I did this tour at the end of august and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Jane is very engaging and friendly. Her tour covers local history and old customs, urban landscape and street art, culture and folklore. Jane takes you through Ennis at a nice, easy pace, with sitting available at most stop points.
