What to Expect
After pickup from a central Edinburgh location, set out on the short drive north to Dunfermline, crossing the famous Forth Road Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On arrival in Dunfermline, enjoy free time to visit Dunfermline Abbey, where legendary Scottish king Robert the Bruce is buried. Nearby, the Battle of Bannockburn visitor center retells the story of Robert the Bruce’s victorious clash with English king Edward II. Continue to Stirling, where you tour Stirling Castle and take in views from the Wallace Monument and learn about Scotland’s real-life Braveheart from your guide. Finally, visit the Rosslyn Chapel, the real-life setting for Dan Brown’s best-selling novel and movie adaptation, The Da Vinci Code. Your tour ends with drop-off in central Edinburgh.
