Mesmerized by Scotland
Jul 2021 • Solo
Graham, our guide was a fantastic voice of the Scottish experience. He was so passionate about the history and the origins of the places on the tour. Truly enjoyed the highlands. There was a lot of flexibility for different members of the group to enjoy it to their fullest.
They booked us an accomodation in a cosy b n b with breakfast included. Graham also gave us suggestions for locally exploring Inverness on the day of the stop. I would definitely recommend Rabbie's and do more Rabbie's tours

They can do better than this
Jun 2021 • Friends
I’ve been with Rabbies on several tours before and I was always happy with the organisation, tour guide etc. However, this 2-day tour was the most chaotic I’ve ever been on. While it was very informative and showed us both the wild side and urban side of the Highlands, there’s room for improvement. Here are some things that Rabbies could do better:
-Train your staff how to use payment devices. Not 5 minutes before the boat tour is supposed to depart, but a couple of days in advance. This will avoid frustration among the boat crew and the tourists who may need to get cash in the middle of nowhere. The other option would be to give tourists the possibility to already book the boat tour upon booking the whole tour by adding an additional check box.
-Provide your tour guides with the passengers’ phone numbers. In case they’re late or something happens, the tour guide should be able to call them. It looked very unprofessional when two people were late and the tour guide had only their names.
-Departure times should be communicated clearly. All your guides so far had a little board where they wrote departure times. Not this one. Which led to some people understanding 10 instead of 9.10 as departure time
-Make it a 3-day tour and include a trip to the Black Isle. There’s seriously not much to do in Inverness.
-Try to get information in time regarding sights being opened during COVID and limitations on the number of visitors. We were told we would meet at Urquhart castle after our boat tour. One of the crew members told us while we were on the boat that we won’t be able to see the castle due to restrictions on numbers. Again, this was quite unprofessional.

Many thanks for your feedback, we're glad you enjoyed the tour overall and appreciate your suggestions. Things are constantly changing in light of Covid and we're sorry to hear that there were a couple of things that did not run smoothly. We will follow up and review training as necessary, but If you want to discuss this with us further, please do get in touch directly. Kind Regards, Aimee

One of the best trips ever
We fell in love with Edinburgh at first sight. From city to its people, we felt very much welcomed. We wanted to do tours in highlands and thats when rabbies came across. I must say at first we were very skeptical about tour companies as i had bad experiences before. But at last we wanted to give one last try and i must say it was one of the best decision. I would really like to thank rabbies for changing my decision about tour companies.

Me and husband toured with rabbies from Edinburgh on 22.06.21 and Graham was our tour guide. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and went out of his way to make our experience very memorable. Through out the journey, he told us about Scotland history and also played Scottish music. Me and my husband enjoyed the bagpipe music so much that we have been listening every morning these days. And all this credit goes to you graham. We wouldn’t have asked for anyone than you. Because of graham and his hospitality, my sisters have planned to visit Scotland and they promised us to tour with rabbies only.

Once again thank you graham for going extra mile to enhance our trip. Also i wanted to tell rabbies that you have a gem (Graham) with you so never let him go.

Regards,

Incredible trip with Stefan to discover Scotland
We booked the 2 Day Loch Ness, Inverness and Highlands group tour with Rabbie's. First we would like thank Rabbie's for doing this tour with just the two of us despite the last minute cancellations they had. So what it was supposed to be a group tour became a private tour for me and my girlfriend.

On the other hand we were lucky to have Stefan as a guide and driver of our trip. He is super funny and has a deep knowledge of Scottish culture and history. He knows the best spots to take some pictures, to have lunch/dinner or just when to play the right songs inside the minibus. You notice that he prepares the trip thoughtfully and he never loses his smile. In this way, our experience could not be better: we learned, we visited, we laughed, we steered and we enjoyed in every corner of Scotland we stopped during the Tour.

We totally recommend it, we will repeat with another tour and with Rabbie's! Many thanks!

Unforgettable Scottish Highlands Tour
Oct 2020
I am very impressed with Rabbies, they emailed me the day before the tour asking whether I wanted to go ahead as I was the only passenger on the tour. I was fearful they were going to cancel the day before but they were so accommodating and reassured me that it would go ahead if I wanted to, despite me being the only guest. They also offered various alternative options as well - they really went above and beyond my expectations! I was lucky enough to have Jim on my two day tour, he was a fantastic tour-guide, showing me all the great sights of Scottish Highlands and explained the history behind everything in an interesting way - never a boring moment. He asked me upfront what I wanted to achieve, and I said I wanted to be wowed by amazing sights and take some great photos, so he curated the tour around that - going above and beyond the set itinerary when time permitted. Definitely recommend anyone visting Scotland to book a tour with Rabbies - you won't be disappointed.

Jim is the best! Incredible scenery!
Guys, the best group tour we have ever had! First of all because of covid instead of it being a group of 16, it was a party of 3 - just my husband and I and our amazing driver guide Jim. He is unstoppable, charismatic, friendly and knowledgeable. He really made our day. The trip itself is very well planned, we hit so many amazing spots my instagram is on fire! 🤩🤪 See the pics below! Amazing tour, Jim is seriously the best!

Both guides (James and Robbie) were extremely knowledgable on Scottish history and ancestry. Safety was a main priority and the comfort and well-being of the guests was foremost to the drivers. Scenery was spectacular. Well worth going

Absolutely Wonderful
Sep 2020
This was our second trip with Rabbie's. Our guide, Grant, made what would have been a nice trip into an exceptional one. He's clearly passionate about Scottish history and it was great to get a local perspective on what we'd previously only read about. It was like traveling with a old friend.
Rabbies is taking Covid seriously with reduced bus capacity and strict hand sanitizing. I was glad we booked an organized trip rather than trying to figure out the travel on our own given all the changes at the sites visited (i.e. reduced capacities, changes in opening times, limited options to see Loch Ness, etc)
We look forward to traveling with Rabbie's again.

Absolutely incredible tour of the Highlands, Loch Ness, and Inverness
Dec 2019
My girlfriend and I went on this tour back in December. Our guide was Doug and I believe he made the tour and trip even the more fun and interesting. He was an excellent guide and driver and provided tons of info, jokes, and insight on the locations and culture. He also played a great collection of Scottish and Celtic music that tied in to each location. We drove out of Edinburgh, up through Perth, to Dunkeld, stopped over at Dalwhinnie Distillery, then on to Culloden Battlefield, before stopping over at Inverness overnight. The Highlands were absolutley breathtaking and something I will never forget. We then toured Loch Ness and the nearby castle before coming back down the Highlands and in to Edinburgh. The two day tour is great because you get enough sites without feeling too overwhelmed. I would highly recommend if you want to experience Edinburgh plus the Highlands in a week.
