Richard led my wife and I on an unforgettable experience we are forever grateful for. We were honeymooning after our wedding and this experience made the trip. Richard was exceptional, friendly and accommodating. We can not describe into words the experience we had. As a native of Northern Ireland and an extra on GOT, he led an experience through stories, history, and personal experiences that you cannot replicate. We'd get a pint with this man any day which makes this experience even better. Thank you for everything, we would recommend this service to anyone, honeymooners, friends, and families.

Cannot recommend this tour enough. Brian went above and beyond to make sure the group got the most out of the 10 hour tour (I still can’t quite believe we got in as much as we did!) neither of us had seen the Giants Causeway before which was a great addition to the GOT tour. Admission to the rope bridge and causeway would have been approximately 20-25 pounds a head on our own so to have this included in the price was good value. The time flew with Brian’s enjoyable commentary and infectious enthusiasm- what struck both of us was his commitment to the tour group when stopping for photo opportunities, he gladly braved freezing conditions and took professional snaps with advice on posing to get shots we’d have never gotten on our own. Brian did this for all the group happily. We were pleasantly surprised by the smaller bus size which made for a more personal experience, we saw bigger coaches on the way from other tour companies. It was the most enjoyable day tour I think I’ve ever done and I will be booking the Winterfell tour next with this company. We loved how authentic the experience was from trying out the costumes and props to hearing from Brian who was truly immersed in the show as an extra for its duration. Nothing tacky or overly commercial about it. The only thing I’d say is do wrap up VERY well for this tour! Thanks again to Brian and Peter the driver for a great day out we’re buzzing. 👍👍👍

Hi Grace,
Thank you, what a fantastic review! We're delighted to hear you had such a great time touring Westeros with Brian that you now have plans to come back and visit with us a second time! That is wonderful news. Thanks too for the 'wrap up warm tip', while Northern Ireland does not get the freezing temperatures of Scandinavian countries it can get very cold especially with the wind chill in exposed areas. So we would recommend to everyone to wear layers and be prepared for whatever the weather might be.
See you soon in Winterfell!

This tour was perfect from start to finish, largely thanks to our guide Richard. Each location was beautiful in it's own way and you really do get that Westeros feel. My partner and I were given a private tour of the Island and would highly recommend this to all couples and fans. Richard was a true gent and we chatted endlessly about the show. He was very accommodating and knowledgeable about the production, having been an extra on many episodes including Hardhome and BotB. The pub we visited for lunch also served top quality food and had it's own GoT decorated throne room as an extra treat. The highlight was dressing up as a pair or Greyjoys and walking the harbours and beeches of Pyke. I would urge all of my fellow Thrones fanatics to enjoy this experience, you will not regret it!

Hi Matt,
Thanks for taking the time to write a great review, especially now when our business is trying to clamber out of the Long Night of the pandemic. We're delighted you and your partner enjoyed your Iron Islands tour with Richard. Dressing up as Greyjoys in the real location of the Iron Islands, it never gets old! We had such an amazing day on this tour, thanks to Brian's passion and enthusiasm for all things Game of Thrones!
But the day wasn't just about the series; Brian went out of his way to give us stories and folklore on so much more of the northern Irish coast as we drove along it, and had us entertained from start to finish. We may have had all the seasons hit us within an hour as we got close to the rope bridge (wind, rain, SNOW?! glorious sun), but it didn't spoil the day. Brian was quick to give us the information and trivia we wanted and we moved on to the next location. The tour was also good at staying one step ahead of some of the bigger tour groups in the area, so we were never crowded with other tourists.
Overall, we had a great day, and it was well worth the money. Highly recommend for any fans of the show (part time or die hard), or for anyone wanting to experience some of the amazing views the northern irish coast has to offer :) Thanks again!

We had a truly fantastic day and highly recommend this tour!
Our guide Adrian (Ser Davos) and driver Paul were both excellent and gave us a truly unforgettable day.
Although we have watched the whole series through more than once it was really helpful to be shown clips and images to give context to each location and how it was used for filming during Game of Thrones. Adrian also gave us lots of insight into how it was to be an extra on the show which was fascinating.
This tour packs in some great stops such as Dark Hedges, Caves at Cushenden and Giants Causeway, but the highlight had to be Ballingtoy Harbour. Dressing up as Iron Born and re-enacting some scenes was great fun and made for some brilliant photos and video. Adrian really went the extra mile in making this experience unforgettable.
There is also a lunch stop included at the Fullerton Arms which does great food and has one of the Game of Thrones doors. Just make sure you don't try and get away with "paying the iron price" for your food!
When back in Belfast we'll definitely look at doing the Winterfell Trek with the same tour company, but until then....

Hi Chris,
Thanks for a Kraken review! 🦑 ⚔️
We're delighted you appreciate the effort we put in with screenshots, tablet clips and DVDs to show how these locations were used in Thrones and thanks also for showing your appreciation for our Iron Born gear which we bust out of the boot at Ballintoy Harbour. The great thing about visiting Ballintoy in the morning is we're the only people there, for 30 mins or more it becomes the Iron Islands :)
We look forward to seeing you back again for the Winterfell Trek!

Brilliant day from start to finish. Our guide Adrian was fantastic, very knowledgeable, had a good sense of humour and helped the day flow very well. The places you stop at on the tour are beautiful. Lunch was also great. It’s a shame Carrick-a-rede rope bridge was shut but this couldn’t be helped due to Covid 19!
A group of 5 of us all did this tour, one being 71 so nothing too strenuous involved if anyone is worried about that!
One thing to mention is that the pick up point is at Jury’s Inn, Belfast. This doesn’t have a car park so make sure you arrive in plenty of time to park up elsewhere! There’s a rather expensive car park just around the corner or other various ones dotted around within a 15 minute walk which cost around £4 all day.
Thanks for a great tour!

Hi Bethany,
Thanks for taking the time to write a review of our Iron Islands tour with Adrian. Yes, it's a shame the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge is closed to the public, apparently it will remain closed for the remainder of 2021. It's great to hear you had someone of 71 years in your group, I hope he or she got dressed as an Iron Born and got into the spirit of the day. What is dead may never die! ⚔️🦑

Incredible day from the get-go. I treated my dad and sister to this as we are big GOT fans and had never done this tour. Our tour guide Adrian (aka The Other Ser Davos) was absolutely incredible - so informative and interactive the whole way. So enthusiastic and made the group feel so comfortable even when we were dressed in costume screaming on the beach. The tour is well worth the price - you're seeing and learning so much about GOT as well as seeing some beautiful scenery. The driver Ian was also so friendly and made sure we got about safely and on time. This tour is essential for any GOT fan visiting Belfast/Northern Ireland.

Hi Toni,
Thanks for a fantastic review of our Iron Islands tour and your guide, Adrian Hanna. Further thanks for saying it's worth the price - you get an extra from Thrones as guide, stories from the set, high quality Iron Born gear and metal swords, as the saying goes you get what you pay for! Keep an eye out for the public opening of the Game of Thrones Studio Tour at Linen Mill Studios outside Banbridge, Co. Down, in 2022. Maybe you'll join us again for our new tour next year, the Winterfell Trek and Studio Tour. For Thrones fans like yourself, we are forever at your service Toni - Valar Dohaeris ⚔️

Great experience , Stuart the bus driver was very friendly and very informative. Even in foggy weather where visibility was minimal, he made the experience enjoyable and kept us entertained while getting us to our destinations safely. The locations we visited were stunning and showed the true beauty of the Irish landscape. There was many locations we visited that were used in the Game Of Thrones TV show and as I am a GOT fan, I got a sense of nostalgia and happiness when I recognises the locations from the show itself. 10/10 tour and I would highly recommend.

Our guide, Brian and our Driver Jon, were brilliant.
Firstly, after getting soaked on the way to the meeting point in the morning, I was in no mood.
As the tour started, Brian instantly lifted my spirits and the rest of our group. He was super knowledgeable, particularly having worked on the sets of GoT throughout most of the seasons as an extra, he had intimate knowledge and story's that just make it all come to life. Westeros isn't as big as you think.... 😜
Dressing up and taking photos at the Iron Islands destination was brilliant.
Most inportantly, we had ample time at each location to explore and digest information ahead of other tour groups.
This is the company you want to use for the Game of Thrones tours.
Thanks again Brian and Jon for a brilliant day.

Hi Sam,
We would like to thank you very much for the excellent review, despite getting soaked before your tour even started! Not a great way to start the day, but we are delighted to hear Brian and his stories from on set cheered you right up. We highly recommend to all travellers during the winter months that they check the weather before their tour and dress appropriately. Wet weather gear, waterproof shoes/boots are going to be the best choice (jeans and runners when it is cold/rainy are no fun). We hope you'll return soon to dress up as a Stark and join us for a Winterfell tour ;-)

Fantastic GoT tour yesterday (Friday) with Adrian (The Other Ser Davos) and driver Peter. The day was extremely informative from the get go and is worth every single penny...This was mainly down to Adrian who set the scene from the outset and kept us engaged throughout the day. The day flows, from insight into behind the scenes, to stunning site locations, Adrian ensures everyone gets involved...Even if you are not an avid Game of Thrones fan (my wife had never watched an single episode and is now intrigued) I’d highly recommend this tour and you also get the Giant Causeway thrown in to boot...

Hello - my wife and I are visiting UK with our 10 month old son. We are very interested in doing this, but saw the age restriction due to the viewing of the show during the tour. Are we able to come and bring him? Given that he won’t remember / retain what he’s seeing? :)

Hi Luiz,
Many thanks for the question!! Our Winterfell tour from Dublin never goes to Belfast, it operates in a loop through County Down which is south of Belfast. If you'd like to email us directly we can provide you with some information on alternative options!! We look forward to hearing from you!
Hey, I am just wondering which area or restaurant will this tour stop by for lunch?

Hello JouChihTing,
We stop at the Fullerton Arms for lunch. As previously mentioned in other answers, our guides provide the menu and will take a pre order, so when you arrive for lunch they are organised and everything is waiting for you. You can of course bring a packed lunch if you prefer, but we would recommend a hot meal during the winter!
If you have any dietary requirements, please email us directly and we will liaise with the restaurant for you.
