It's kinda a must for Belfast as it takes you places you wouldn't go independently, bearing in mind the history of this "war torn" city. If you're in the city for any length of time ( we were 5 nights) then I would recommend paying a little extra for the 2 day ticket. Hoping on and off is no trouble and you get the benifits of different guides, who are all brilliant in their own unique ways.

We bought a two day ticket and on day one, did the full tour end to end, which took about 90 minutes, and from that, set our schedule for the next day.

The commentary was informative, and light hearted. Our day one driver was happy to add helpful information on about the location of stops and additional relevant advice. This helped a lot and we were grateful to her.
She also advised a visit to the Irish Tours Ticket Office after we mentioned the possibility of visiting The Giants Causeway. This turned out to be great advice and on the back of her recommendation, we had a great day trip out from the City.

On day two, we knew where we wanted to go, and the driver while courteous, added no additional information.

When we hopped back on after a visit to Ulster Museum, we made our way to the Falls Road so see the murals and memorial garden. Our second driver gave us advice on what to look out for, and dropped us ahead of the official stop to save us a walk back to particular murals and told us where to go to see the main attractions and where to pick the bus up for the final part of the journey. Having visited the Falls, our next driver was accompanied by a “live guide” who delivered a commentary off the hoof and which was very entertaining.

We were very happy with the way we worked our time. The two day ticket was ideal for us and at £23 each, was value for money.

The only downside was the closure of the Titanic Museum fire an upgrade but that’s obviously not the tour bus fault.

Highly recommended.

Great intro to the city for myself and two teens. We stayed on for entire loop but those wishing to hop on and off didn't seem to have any issues doing so. Staff v friendly and helpful. Sense of humour and jokes on the tour were rife, to the embarrassment of my kids as I kept laughing loudly. We all enjoyed the fact we could relax while being shown some important sights - all in the sunshine!
We had visited the Titanic Experience in the morning and this was a great way to fill the afternoon. We paid at the bus stop at the first stop near City Hall but obvs you can book in advance.

My brother and I were in Belfast for the day and thought the tour would be the best way to experience and get to see the city. We had limited time and worked out a schedule to see the Titanic museum and complete the tour (a bit over an hour according to the website). The website says that buses pass every hour, and we had planned accordingly. On boarding we were told by ticket staff and the guide on the bus that buses are circulating every half hour. The bus trip to the Titanic museum is less than 15min, and is all we actually got to do of the tour. After waiting for over an hour and 20min, we made our own way back to the the city centre. The staff there informed us that because of a (pre-arranged) march the buses were late and services couldn't be guaranteed. At no point, either on the website, when buying the tickets, when boarding/leaving the bus was this ever communicated to us. We had no idea of the planned marches until we got back into town.
I've contacted the company a number of times asking for a refund as we weren't able to do the tour, and weren't informed of any potential delays. I received an initial response of "well contact them to investigate", but receive no acknowledgement of emails now. We essentially paid £34 for a 15min bus trip

Very bad customer experienced from local City Sightseeing reps in Belfast before we boarded. I tried to pay with my family, young kids and my mum and the rep would not let me pay, instead he made me wait even though he knew I was here 40 minutes earlier. I had to queue with another person and when I asked the reason they gave me a ridiculous excuse about not being wanting too much sales?!?! Shocking customer service, they don’t care for customers.
I have used City Sightseeing company before in other cities and have never received such shocking discriminatory experience until now.
I would strongly suggest not take to City Sightseeing in Belfast and instead take another hop on hop off bus service. If I could give zero rating I would.

The sights covered and personal commentary from Brian were very good, carefully and thoughfully delivered on some very sensitive issues. We learnt a lot and enjoyed it also. Although we managed to fare OK a few operational adjustments would have been really helpful. The website info was not correct, on times and frequency of operation (website said finished at 3, actually last bus was 4; website said frequency was hourly, actually it was 20 mins). There were not enough card readers for all the buses, so paying by phone caused some problems. There's no timetable or indication when the bus will come - an online tracker would be so helpful. You weren't really encouraged to get on and off the bus, so most people appeared just to stay on and with the buses being very full everybody only just squeezed on.

In my view this was a very disappointing tour. We had intended staying on the bus for the full tour but we had to get off at the Titanic stop as we found the guide to be speaking quite fast and uninteresting, appearing to just be going through the motions of putting out place names. We availed of the next available bus for the remainder of the tour. On this bus the P.A system was terrible. The speaker was coming across loud and scratchy. Looking at other passengers around us their frustration was clearly seen. At the end of the tour the driver apologised for the sound but for a costly price of £18 one would have expected a more professional presentation. Unfortunately I would not be recommending this tour to anyone.

The tour route is encompassing of the city with many of highlights for most tourists. The guide was informative, but lie others said, the speakers were malfunctioning or not clearly broadcasting the guide's words. Better sound needed for the top deck. It is best to pre-pay for tickets. Buying them before boarding will cost an additional $5 based on current exchange rate.

Booked a 10:00 tour, arrived at 09:40 and still no bus by 10:05 so I called the office. Only then they informed us that there was a reduced service starting from 11:00 and then at 10:13 I received an email explaining such, which would have been helpful prior to the original time of 10:00. At 11:00 we board the bus to find that the “provided compulsory face masks” actually came with a cash only charge. The tour skipped a whole section, stops 6,7,8 & 9 (the Stormont end) and when we asked about it they just said it’s a reduced service because of COVID and it’s all on the website which we then checked. Guess what, it’s not mentioned anywhere. It’s also advertised as a 90 minute tour which of course we barely got 60 minutes because of it being cut short. We immediately went on to the website and used their contact us form explaining all of the above and have received no response until we received a generic email saying “thanks“ and “please write a review, so here it is. Go with a different company or better still go on their website and follow their itinerary and use google because the tour was all pre-recorded with no personality despite their being a tour guide on board who we didn’t hear from once. We genuinely spoke politely and positively with the driver who was clearly, although politely, being abrupt and unhelpful. O and yes we did pay the full price, don’t waste your money.

Got on the bus around 10.30 and went to the titanic area as we had tickets for 11am in the museum
After the museum we were lucky enough to get on the bus although it was literally full and we had to sit downstairs.
Every stop no one seemed to get off and there were lots of people at each stop wanting to get on but they couldn’t. So you could see they were very disgruntled as they had been waiting for ages for a bus.
We didn’t have a lot of time ourselves as had a flight to catch in the evening, so dared get off as we knew we wouldn’t be able to get back on the bus again!
So I would be careful if booking and make sure there are enough buses on route for the amount of tickets they are selling.
People were standing downstairs so it felt like you were on a normal bus ride and not on a tour
So I would bear this all in mind - and it was a Wednesday too.
