Great tour!
Nov 2021 • Couples
This tour was very good. They provided us with a map of Oxford and things not to miss. We had plenty of time at both places to wonder around.

Wonderful tour, excellent guide!
Oct 2021
My husband and I recently took the Oxford and Cotswolds Village tour with Robert Walker as our guide. The tour was excellent and Robert was very knowledgeable about the area. But Robert took customer service to the next level. I left my phone at a shop in the village of Bibury. I didn't notice until we were well on our way to Oxford. Robert called the shop while we were touring Oxford to make sure that they had the phone. The next day, he travelled out of his way to retrieve it and then mail it to me! It took a few days for it to arrive in the US, but it was in perfect condition! In the meantime, Robert kept in contact with me through email to make sure I received it. So glad he was our guide!! And I would highly recommend the tour.

A wonderful day
Oct 2021
Excellent day trip for tourists to see some country outside of London. Our guide, Russell, really knew his stuff and how to "read the crowd" of the ten of us on the bus, making the entire trip a real pleasure. Going out he pointed to sights of interest and provided history recitations I only WISHED I had heard in school - I now understand the Charles I/Cromwell situation much better. On the return trip when we were tired he played music that was actually an audio history of British pop music (I think I was the only one who preferred the ELP version of Jerusalem) before getting us to recite our favorite parts of the day, which we were all glad to do. Of course you can't do all of Oxford in 2 hours but the map provided gave excellent points both historical and Harry Potter. The stops at the Cotswold villages were just enough time to soak it in, and where else are you going to see sights like this? All in all a great experience ... but most importantly I will always remember that when preparing a scone for tea the cream goes ON the jam :)

A lovely day in the Cotswolds and in Oxford
Oct 2021 • Friends
I had a really lovely time in the Cotswolds and in Oxford. Rob lives in Oxford and was very knowledgeable, gave us a lot of information and cracked a few jokes during the tour. He even changed the schedule so that we would have a sunnyish morning in the Cotswolds. The people on the bus were really quite and some seemed to be in a bad mood and wanted to have more time in the villages so Rob kindly added a bit of time there.
In Oxford we did a little detour on the way back to see some interesting houses with some curiosities.

I would definitely recommend this tour if you want to see both areas in one day.

FALSE ADVERTISING, NOTHING AS ADVERTISED
Oct 2021
I spent over $300 purchasing a tour for 3 of us which was NOTHING as advertised. The trip was much shorter and we were not permitted to visit the Cotswolds as promised. The tour driver was B-O-R-I-N-G and totally "self indulgent." The trip was to focus on the Cotswolds, NOT his home town of Oxford where he noted we would spent mot of the time so he could "go home and have tea."

This was truly a "con job"....over $300 to just ride around in a cramped van, spending most of our time in Oxford.

The focus of this tour is equally on Oxford and the Cotswolds, as the title and description suggests. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you joined the tour on October 4th? I have checked the GPS tracker from the vehicle this day and can see that the tour was delivered in line with the itinerary: https://www.viator.com/en-GB/tours/London/1-Day-Oxford-and-Traditional-Cotswolds-Villages-Small-Group-Tour-from-London/d737-2250P70 Per the itinerary and 'what to expect', the tour should have 2 hours in Oxford, plus 45 minutes each in two Cotswolds villages, Burford and Bibury. Our tracker shows that this is what was delivered - in fact, there were 15 additional minutes extra in the Cotswolds villages in total. The tour did return approximately 30 minutes earlier back to London, but this is not uncommon as traffic can vary considerably and be much quieter at this time of the year. The evidence we have shows that you did receive the full itinerary as described, so we're very confused about the claim that there was false advertising and that you did not visit the Cotswolds. Not enjoying the tour is another matter entirely and we are very sorry to hear this. Please do contact us directly so that we can discuss this with you and clear up any misunderstanding. Many thanks, Aimee

Wonderful visit with great background information & commentary by our guide Samuel. He introduced us to cream tea, & made sure we put cream first before jam. This small group tour is a great day trip from London, getting back in time for dinner. Beautiful, memorable day

Excellent
It was a great experience. Rob was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of information along with funny anecdotes. He even took us to the Headington shark when I asked him for the way to the place, even though it was never in the original plan.

The vehicle was comfortable and the group size was just perfect.

Lovely day trip thanks to Robert
Aug 2021
It was great, we had a smooth journey with Robert, the trip was informative and we received good guidance and extra time seeing the places. It was a scenery ride all the way from Cotswold to Oxford. Would recommend for a day getaway from London!

Just the bus was a bit old, USB charging port wasn't working, but it was a day trip so it's fine. And we were informed that they have bought some new buses so should have better experience in the future.
