This is really 2 hours on a bus driving around the back streets of Liverpool with 4-5 very brief 5 minute stops where everyone one gets off takes a photo in front of a sign or nondescript house where a beatles once lived then gets back on. The guide was enthusiastic but there are only so many times I want to be told something rather bland is 'incredible' in the space of a couple of hours. The best bit by far is the included entrance to the Cavern Club which can be used any time that day but you can just do that yourself for a fiver.
I am sure more hardcore beatles fans will appreciate this but to me it felt a bit desperate trying to construct a tour around some rather uninteresting sites. The organisation was good and we started on time.

I fully expected this to be a very touristy activity however, this is one of the best city tours I have ever taken. The office staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival at the office at Albert Dock to collect your ticket. You then await the bus at the bus stop opposite. Dale our guide had no end of enthusiasm for his city of Liverpool and was extremely informative. The facts and stories shared about four "ordinary lads" who became extraordinary was insightful and at times very touching. The commentary was punctuated with relevant Beatles tracks being played which only added to the experience. Dale was always respectful of the local communities at the various stops on the tour, and you will get to walk in the steps of the Beatles. Your ticket gains you entrance to the Cavern Club (usually £5) which is a great way to end this tour. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is visiting the city

The tour started at Albert Docks exactly on time. The bus was totally fun, but we didn't feel crowded at all.
The tour took us to all the Beatles' childhood homes with stops at George's and Paul's. John's and Ringo's home were stopped at, but we didn't get out of the bus for them.
We also stopped at got out at Penny Lane and again at Strawberry Field. It was exciting to see these places that we've heard about in song all these years!
Our last stop was the Cavern Club. Free admission here and a 15% discount at the restaurant made the tour cost even more reasonable.
The bus was clean and we could hear every word of our tour guide even though we were in the back of the bus.
This was such fun for us and highly recommend for Beatles fans of all ages!

Excellent tour of all beatles locations throughout the city.
I highly recommend the tour its very informative and entertaining, the driver and the guide had a great combination of humour to add a bit more fun to an already fantastic tour.
The coach travelled around every beatles location in the city and stopped at every location allowing you to get out and get pictures off all the locations.
The tour was the highlight of our visit to Liverpool
It was a fantastic trip.
I highly recommend!

Myself and my 14 year old son (who wasn't much of a Beatles fan before the tour but was immersed immediately and loved it) took this tour on the morning of 23rd April - a beautiful sunny day in Liverpool. From the second we got on the bus we felt we had made a good choice - Tour guide Neil and driver Ross were very welcoming and friendly.
The tour starts in the beautiful Albert Dock and visits so many places around Liverpool that are woven into The Beatle's rich musical and personal tapestry (John, Paul, Ringo and George's childhood homes, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, The Cavern Club to name a few). There's time to get off the bus at most of the points of interest although there are some you don't get off at (e.g. John's house or Ringo's house) but that wasn't an issue for us given the other tour content. It's impossible, if you're a Beatles fan of any interest level, not to be amazed and thrilled as the tour evolves. Standing outside Paul's family home (where he lived until 1964 when he was known worldwide) was a personal highlight, even more so when Neil pointed out some of the facts related to the songs written at the house which I wont go into here as I don't want to be a spoiler! The tour finishes just up the road from the famous Matthew Street where with a short walk your tour ticket will get you access to the Cavern Club which is history in itself and has some great artefacts on display from the Beatles, and countless other artists who have played or visited over the years, on the walls. We also availed of the 15% discount your ticket will get you at the Cavern Restaurant across the street from the Cavern Club - the food was excellent.
I can't recommend this tour highly enough. Neil's stories and anecdotes throughout the 2 hour trip were hugely informative and witty. For someone who thought he knew a fair bit about the Fab Four (Brian Epstein, Stu Sutcliffe and Pete Best are also talked about throughout the trip) I learnt an awful lot! The tour is also a great way to see and hear about a mixture of other Liverpool city and suburban legends and sights.
A big thanks to Neil and Ross (We got the right result against the Blues in the end lads!!!)

I loved listening to the tour guide talking about the Beatles. His name is Neil, he had so much knowledge and was very entertaining and funny. I was able to leave the coach to take phones, Neil answered all the questions he was asked. It was great to end the tour at the Cavern and listen to live music it was worth every penny. I would do the tour again

The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour is an absolute must for any fan or even the curious. I pre booked 2 x tickets for my Wife and I for £39.90, you get the 2 hour bus tour, free admission to the world renowned Cavern Club and discount on your meal at the Cavern Restaurant if you choose to have one, how’s that grab you?!
The tour itself was absolutely out of this world, we along with all passengers were greeted by the nicest two guys, Dale who was the tour guide and Dave who gets to drive the most iconic bus in the world. Dale is incredibly knowledgeable regarding The Beatles history as he guides you through all the various locations, pointing out places of interest and story telling along the way. Some locations you are unable to leave the bus but a good few you get the chance to hop off and get closer and obviously take all the photos you want. It’s an absolutely brilliant 2 hours, incredibly informative, extremely good fun especially if you have Dale and Dave (they need an act I’m telling you) they were just an absolute pleasure to be around. As I said above the tour is 2 hours and obviously follows a certain route but there is a toilet stop on route if needed, it’s a very relaxed and friendly tour with everyone enjoying the time spent and with Beatles music also playing through the bus. It was just the best experience all round and I would definitely do it again as I can’t imagine it gets boring. I’ve given Dale and Dave a good mention as it was an experience with them, that’s not to say that other guides and drivers aren’t as good as I’m sure they are all amazing. I believe it was said that this Magical Mystery Tour has been running for 40 years this year, so that speaks for itself. Hop on, you won’t regret it✌🏻❤️

Despite having my father's side of the family hail from Manchester, I'd never been to Liverpool until June 2022. Visiting there on a Friday with a friend we booked this tour as we're both Beatles fans. The tour consists of multiple visits to locations around the city, with a tour guide pointing out the landmarks as you go. Locations include former childhood homes for all of the four Beatles, as well as key locations such as Strawberry Fields, the church hall where the Quarrymen had their first gig and many more. Highly, highly recommended. Our guide was Dale, and our driver was Dave (Who looks an awful lot like George Clooney). Thanks to both gents for an excellent tour!

We were taken on a very informative and enjoyable tour by Dale and Dave who were excellent. They were very friendly and extremely caring of the local residents near the homes of the Beatles. Finished off with a free visit to the Cavern Club where the atmosphere and music were great. Extended our Beatles day with a lovely meal at the Cavern Restaurant making use of the 15% discount which came with our ticket, then returned to the Cavern Club, where we had bought tickets for the performance of the Cavern Club Beatles who were superb. Thoroughly recommend all the experiences.

If your a hardened Beatles fan this magical mystery tour is well worth the price and tour around Liverpool. Is it a little tacky and touristy? Of course it is, but that’s a given but was fabulous. You’d never get to see or hear all the info on your own and at relatively little cost which includes free entry to the Cavern (normally £5).
Only disappointment was after hearing all about the Beatles we were then greeted by a female singer down the cavern singing folky and attempts at Beatles and Lennon songs wtf! No, we left disappointed.
