You will take the Whistler Gondola to the top and get geared up by the guide at the mountain top office. From there you will hike out to the base of the glacier where the guide will go over the basic techniques of ascending the glacier. The group will make their way up at a moderate pace and enjoy the views of the mountains and valleys all around. Depending on the date of the tour, you may slide down the snow or hike back down the glacier. Either way you will get an authentic mountaineering type adventure high above Whistler.
Morning tours meet at the Escape Route Alpine Demo Centre - 4433 Sundial Place down in the village. Afternoon tours meet at our Whistler mountaintop office.

Mike, our guide was great, teaching us about mountaineering and explaining carabiners, different mountaineering terms, and belaying. We also enjoyed finding out about Mike’s adventures around Whistler and beyond. It was...More
