      Wonderful tour to Lake Louise
We want to send kudos to our tour company, and most of all, to our guide, Eli, and our bus driver, Liam. Eli was so knowledgeable and comfortable in his role. I especially have to thank him for finding my Penguins hat on the bus after the tour and dropping it off at my hotel. Over and above, for sure! The tour itself was well planned and enjoyable. Photo stops for animal sightings and great vistas much appreciated. Thanks to both of you!

      Spring hike
We went on a morning walk to the falls. Our guide Jeff was wonderful! Educated us of the wildlife, safety and the canyon itself. Answered all of our questions. Had a treat of maple cookies and hot chocolate at the top. Also we were supplied ice cleats for our hike. I do highly recommend this company tour.

      Johnston canyon ice walk
Great night hike of Johnston Canyon! My friend and I booked a tour online beforehand and we got picked up from a different hotel (only certain downtown hotels allow for pickup). Since it was in February, we dressed very warmly. Handwarmers and foot warmers would be advised. They provide headlamps which you can keep as a souvenir as well as snow shoes. Our group had about 12 people in it and we all fit comfortably in their van. The night hike was short and not too strenuous. We saw a waterfall and stopped at various points to gaze at the stars. One good tip for those with iPhones is to change the night mode setting from 3 seconds to 10 seconds in order to allow the photos to develop better. We had hot cocoa while on the trail and were given a packet of maple cookies. Overall, the night hike was a nice way to explore safely at night and view the beauty of nature.

A fantastic hike at Johnston Canyon by Ros!
Roz was a fantastic guide! We had six people on the hike and she chatted with all of us - was well prepared and made sure we were all taken care of. Great historical information about Johnston Canyon!

      Snowshoeing trip with Emma
It was our first time in Banff and we decided to go on the snowshoeing trip. There was only two of us on the trip so Emma was like our personal guide, she was very informative and made it fun, getting us to walk in new untrodden snow and towards the end, to walk in snow with no snowshoes. My husband enjoyed the sliding down the slope while she started getting to make maple taffy and hot chocolate. Definitely recommend it as a trip to get out of the town and do something different.

      Great tour with Roz
We did the Lake Louise tour. Roz, our guide, was an excellent host who talked about the history as we rode to the lake. The lake itself was one of the highlights of our trip.

      Arrived too late.
Kicking Horse is spectacular, and not having to drive from Banff was terrific. But we arrived at 10:00 am, an hour after the mountain opened. Anyone who wants to take a 4 hour round trip bus ride for a day at Kicking Horse would have been willing to wake up an hour earlier to get there in time to ski a full day. And the bus was late for our pick up.

      Interesting night walk
Interesting to see the frozen waterfall in winter and guide did good job to explain and show us about the different landscapes and stream. Night walk with cleats was an interesting experience than walking in the noon.

Phenomenal walk, with knowledgeable, friendly expert guides.
Amazing walk, made hugely more enjoyable and informative with our guides (one in training). They knew so much about the area, physical and human geography - and way beyond the “standard script”. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Make a killing!! If I had all this ice in Texas!!
Once in a life time experience!! I would say.. from someone who lives in the oven and travel to the ice box!! Ive done trails at +100° to now -0°... like i said before life time experience... for someone who is not accustomed to being in a cold climate it can be a bit apprehensive... but i did it!! wonderful guide, great tips as far as hiking this trail !! and didn't let me quit... i just wanted to reach the lower falls and that would of been fine for me!! Try not to over layer even in the cold your body will begin to over heat!! yes it made me sweat... but a wonderful experience!! oh if really cold temps you might want to double on you socks only part that i felt cold but on the way down had a reverse affect??

The glacier on its own is incredible. We took the bus not knowing you can book a walking tour instead which is less harmful to the planet. I heard there is also a local tribe that offers walking tours. I wish we did this. The busses are diesel, so tons of carbon being put out through the day. The glacier ticket adds the skybridge by default, which was something I could happily skip and save 45min or more of my day. After the glacier, the bus takes you to the skywalk. I wouldn’t feel bad if I had just sit in the bus and stayed on to the last stop to go home. Maybe the view is better in snow? We couldn’t figure out why they had done so much to the environment to build that skywalk there in that spot when the view from it is at is a 2.5 on a scale of 1-5. It just didnt feel like a huge drop below bcz it wasn’t waaaay high up.

Bastian (sp?) was such a knowledgeable guide! He shared the history of the areas and seasoned it with some of his own personal experiences as well! The whole experience (even including the provided lunch!) was fantastic. Highlights for us included Bow Lake, walking on the Athabasca glacier, Skywalk and Peyto Lake. Highly recommend!

Hi Rich, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're thrilled to hear that you had a fantastic experience with our knowledgeable guide Bastian! He is a long time local and has a wealth of knowledge about the Canadian Rockies. The Columbia Icefields Parkway tour is an incredible way to explore a part of the Rockies outside of Banff. We are glad to hear the whole experience was fantastic and hope to welcome you on more tours soon.

This day trip was the highlight of our stay in Banff. Roz, our guide and driver was AMAZING!! So lovely, knowledgeable and generous with her time. She stopped for us to see a bear, pointed out other wildlife and chose a beautiful location for our picnic lunch. Absolutely recommend this tour - one of the loveliest days spent in our Canadian adventure!

My daughter (8 years old) and I went to the Glacier with Jeff who is great guy. He was nice and great. We did few stops for a small hike, take pictures. Definitely I recommend to take the tour to go there to learn and visit places that you normally don’t do when you travel by yourself. Jeff, stopped many time to let us to see the bears. Thank you so much.

Hi Trina, Thank you for joining us on the first Columbia Icefields Parkway Tour of the year! We're so glad that you and your daughter were able to join us, and that you enjoyed the tour with Jeff - and even saw some bears. The Icefields Parwkay is just stunning at this time of year as the lakes start to thaw, and we're glad that you found it as special as we do. We hope to see you both back in Banff.

What a day! Every turn in the road was wow never mind the places we stopped off! Our tour guide, Jeff, was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent guide. Bow Lake, Howse Pass, Columba Creek (?), the Athabasca Glacier tour, skywalk. When we thought that there were no more ‘wows’ to be made, we stopped at Peyto Lake. Amazing! Exhausted, exhilarated, well fed (!) and well informed. What a day!

It was truly an amazing experience. Definitely a once in a life time opportunity. The drivers, Chad and Marc were very professional, knowledgeable and also put some Humor into the mix, making tje experience much more enjoyable (kind of gave me some magic school bus vibes). It's truly a breathtaking view that pictures just don't do it justice. We also had some good luck and had the wonderful privilege to be able to see baby mountain goats while at the Skywalk. Would definitely recommend for all ages.

Our driver (Eli) was great and kept us entertained on the long drive.

While the glacier itself was awesome I really enjoyed the actual drive itself and the stops along the way.

The only negative had nothing to do with this company itself- there is just a few hours where you go from the glacier itself to the skywalk where there is no access to a toilet. The buses leaving the skywalk also had a fair wait but this is a separate party that Banff Discover just partners with for this tour.

Start to finish this was an awesome experience. Our Guide Anicke was prompt pleasant and very organized. She described a great deal of the history and geology of the drive to Jasper on the highway is breathtaking. The stops are well chosen. And once at the Glacier it isn’t once in a lifetime opportunity. I most highly recommend this if you have a day in the area. The tour last about 11 hours. The included lunch is He’s good and the prices at the glacier transfer station are quite high.

We had an amazing day tour with our fellow Aussie Kelsea who is an awesome tour guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!

We loved seeing all the amazing lakes and gorgeous scenery driving out to the Glacier. Once we arrived at the glacier, Tex was our driver, he was a good laugh and very knowledgeable. Even helped us get some amazing fresh water from the Glacier stream which is a must do!
    Highly recommend this tour!!
