About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Denverrun0 contributionsOrganized transportation versus tourThis felt more like organized transportation with lunch versus an actual tour. We were 6 people in a private tour with hotel pickup in Panama City to San Blas with lunch for just over $1100. The driver arrived about 10 min late to get us from our hotel at 5:25; the adult that needed to sit in a middle seat was uncomfortable for the total of 7 hours of driving. For such a long trip, a bigger/more comfortable vehicle would have been better. The driver’s English was limited and answered some questions but didn’t say too much. He didn’t offer anyone to alter the temperature or music (he sang g along a lot) provide water. Bring your own water and snacks or buy at the stop. He transferred us to a different company for the boat section. They were nice but also didn’t provide much information and just drove us to the three spots and asked what time we wanted lunch. This was a long day and lot of driving. I’m glad we went but this didn’t feel like a great value given how much of the day people were uncomfortable. The islands are gorgeous but have pretty primitive infrastructure. It got 3 stars due to the price, meh service and car ride.Written 17 March 2025

- pagys_130 contributionsAna’s Amazing tourAna led a very interesting tour to the waterfalls of the Chaga River and to the Embera Village. She was very knowledgeable about the tour, flexible with us, and fun to be with! We highly recommend this tour with Ana.Written 14 March 2025
- Anjail J0 contributionsHeavenThis trip was like experiencing a small piece of heaven. Our driver Jonny was super chill. Just a FYI if you experience motion sickness, please take something prior to the ride through the Guna Yala territory. The rode is very winding and hilly. My friend got sick from the ride. Once we arrived at San Blas island it was absolutely amazing. The views were breathtaking. The natural pool was amazing. Hands down one of the best highlights of our stay in Panama 🇵🇦.Written 8 March 2025
- Nomad597125209310 contributionsSan Blas Bliss! Our day trip to San Blas was amazing! The day is long but so worth the beautiful beaches and placid Caribbean sea that you get to spend time in! Highly recommend! Our driver Javier picked us up on time and drove very well- even on the curvy roads in the San Blas territory! He also showed us wild life found on our way ( Toucans, Owls, Monkeys etc) The Guna guide Richard and the boat crew was also great…they made the travel between the islands seamless. We had enough time on the 3 islands and natural pool! There was good snorkeling too!! All and all a day well spent!Written 7 March 2025
- GrandTour2589020 contributionsThis trip was, at best, a disappointment.First, the tour guide, Manuel, was friendly and spoke English to me when we were alone. Once we had the rest of the group, Manuel switched to Spanish, knowing I didn't speak the language. All six of the other people were native English speakers and Manuel only spoke English when I asked him to. I contacted the tour operator in advance to check in on whether I would get help getting on and off the boat (I am large) and was assured there would be staff there to help me. Nobody was there, and I got injured. Other than that, the boat trip was good. The driver knew where to go and how to attract monkeys. However, the sloth sanctuary consisted of four sloths sleeping in their beds and a little talk about them. The frog exhibit consisted of seven-ten little teeny frogs, barely visible, in a big enclosure. The orchid exhibit was a mess. The butterfly room had only a dozen butterflies or so but was otherwise beautiful. I was really looking forward to this trip. It was the last hurrah at the end of a vacation, and expensive, and I really wanted to learn more about local flora and fauna. The trip was a disaster for me. I wrote to Tao 365 and got a cursory letter back and an offer of $15. I asked for -- and deserve -- a full refund. I was not given the tour I was promised and paid for.Written 24 February 2025

- Sirenashaina0 contributionsExcellent Monkey and Sloth tourThis trip informative about Panama and the animals. We saw 4 different types of monkeys on the tour! Our guides were good about getting us in positions to see them. The sloth sanctuary was wonderful. The only way to see sloths up close.Written 22 January 2025
- sydtayscott0 contributionsFun times! We did the tour on a Monday morning. We left the hotel around 8am in Panama City. The boat ride was a fun adventure to the waterfall. You will have to walk on rocks to get to the waterfalll. I suggest water shoes to avoid slipping. Also If you have mobility problems this could be an issue. You must step up onto rocks. There are ropes on the wall to hold onto but if you are an elder this could be problematic. Also I suggest don’t bring any large bags. You need something you can strap to you. It is a great photo op and a good time. Next you go to the village. The village is informative and interactive. They will feed you fish and tostones along with fruit. It is delicious. You will also have an opportunity to buy items. On another note they will have you dance with them. Don’t be alarmed. It is fun and a basic two step. It is a nice outing.Written 21 January 2025
- Yogesh N0 contributionsMemorable cultural experience. We enjoyed the visit to the waterfalls and the Embera people and learned so much about their community and history. Our guide Daniel was very knowledgeable about the Embera and made our visit interesting and memorable! Kudos to Daniel and his assistant David .Written 19 January 2025

Despite rainy weather, our wonderful Captain worked so hard to ensure we saw many dolphins jumping in the waves. The snorkeling was everyone’s favorite, the highlight of the tour - beautiful coral and fish, so magnificent in colorful! And the Zapatillos island, the marine park was beautiful too though the clouds and rain made it less enjoyable than the rest. One tip- don’t forget to buy your entrance tickets for the marine park online ahead of the tour! We forgot and our Captain kindly and graciously was able to arrange with the entrance staff so we could go on the island. But it is not favored by the staff so an inconvenience, best to purchase ahead of time.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so glad to hear that, despite the rainy weather, your captain went above and beyond to make sure you saw dolphins and had an incredible snorkeling experience.
Zapatilla Island is always a stunning destination, though we completely understand how the weather can affect the experience. And thank you for the helpful tip about purchasing marine park entrance tickets in advance—great advice for future travelers! We also list this fact in our tour description :)
We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back for another adventure (hopefully with sunnier skies)! 😊🌴🐬

Absolutely fantastic experience! The island-hopping day tour from Bocas del Toro to Zapatilla was a dream come true. The crystal-clear turquoise waters, vibrant coral reefs, and lush greenery made every moment breathtaking. The tour was well-organized, and the crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the area.
Snorkeling among the colorful marine life was a highlight, and the stop at Zapatilla Island felt like a visit to paradise—pristine beaches and serene vibes. We even spotted dolphins along the way! It was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bocas del Toro. Worth every penny!

It rained from the start. Rained and wind blew the whole time. We were all freezing and soaked (never actually snorkelled or were in the water) and were gone 5 hours) never asked from the beginning if we would like to reschedule or return to dock. Gone 5 hours as tour leader finally took a vote as to who wanted to return back. 100% agreed. In good weather this would have been a great trip but we should have been given the option to reschedule given the miserable weather. It was miserable.

Amir drove the boat and was our guide. He did an excellent job showing us many starfish and dolphins, some birds, and a sloth in a mangrove swamp. I am 65-years-old, overweight and with a bad knee. With Amir's assistance I was able to get on and off the boat each time. I did skip the snorkeling, and I was glad I did. Someone younger than I struggled with the ladder back onto the boat. Even without the snorkeling I really got my money's worth. And my fellow tour members said they enjoyed the snorkeling that I missed doing.

The tour was perfect. The meeting point was the 3R Mall. You can reach the pier to the right of the entrance.
We were able to observe dolphins, see sloths, and even a caiman in the mangroves. While snorkeling, we saw all kinds of fish and corals! We discovered numerous starfish on the return trip.
The lunch break came at just the right time. Water and beer were also offered during the rides. Diving masks and snorkels were provided if you didn't have your own.
The visit to Zapatilla Island is incredibly beautiful. The captain brought us safely and reliably from station to station. Absolute recommendation.

All activities were great and well chosen. The boat was always on time for pick-up. The boat driver, who was also the guide, was open and friendly. When we didn’t see any sloths in the mangrove forest, we were taken to another spot where some could be seen. However, don’t expect detailed explanations about the animals or activities here. All in all, it was a lovely day with many wonderful impressions.
