We did the all day motor boat cruise around the island. The boat held about 20 people. Not exactly luxury but it got the job done (especially given the very good price of $125). The crew was great. We made a total of four stops—more geared toward swimming than snorkeling. Swimming in the beautiful waters was fantastic, but some of the snorkelers said there wasn’t much to see. For lunch we pulled up to the pier right in Grand Case and ate at a barbecue place right on the water. Very well organized. We all sat down, ordered, ate and were back on the boat within an hour. The boat goes all the way around the island (wind and water conditions permitting) so you get to see the entire island. In addition to lunch (which is included in the price btw) beer, rum punch and soft drinks were included. Crew also served cheese and bread throughout the day. Recommend!

I would highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in snorkeling, a quick introduction to the French side of the island, or beachgoers looking for some quality time on Tintamarre or Pinel Island. All of the stops on the tour are great, but two stood out on our trip:

- Snorkeling at Creole Rock: even the area on its own is beautiful, but once you're in the water, the sea life becomes the main attraction. We saw schools of colorful fish, a stingray, and even got to watch a sea turtle eating lunch about 10 feet below us!

- Beach time at Pinel Island: the beach at the island is shallow, warm, and lovely. If you head behind the white tents by the beach clubs, there's tons of Iguanas in and around the bushes, looking for lettuce.

All throughout, they had an open bar with Rum punch, Heineken, and Carib, as well as gouda and baguettes in case you needed a quick snack in between beaches. Lunch in Grand Case (for our trip, at least) was at a BBQ stand on the beach, right off the dock - I'd recommend the chicken or the ribs.

All in all, a wonderful time, and I look forward to going again the next time I'm on the island!

May 29, 2021 trip with Capt. Roy and Albert was fabulous. My husband, myself, and our best friends Lisa and Pete have taken the Santino on 3 separate visits to St. Maarten. As normal, Roy and Albert made the trip so enjoyable. Always a good safe time with a knowledgeable and friendly crew. Lunch at LoLo’s was GREAT. Would highly recommend this tour for friends and families that are interested in snorkeling around St. Maarte and having a good BBQ lunch.

Capt Roy and Bobby are the best, We have been doing this excursion for years and absolutely love it. They are the best, Bobby got in the water snorkeling with everyone and showed any different fish, octopus, starfish. Couldn't ask for two better people to show us around the island by boat. There was 6 of us and as I said I've been doing this trip for years and this year brought friends with us who thoroughly enjoyed it. If you like to have fun this is the trip for you!

What a great trip! Got on the boat right in Simpson Bay. Albert and Roy were great hosts. We stopped first at Long Bay for a quick swim then went to Creole Rock for some snorkeling with lots of fish. Next was a stop at Cynthia’s in Grand Case for a delicious lunch. Yum! After that we went to Tintemarre to snorkel with sea turtles. The last stop was Pinel Island - a funky little island on the French side that has a great laid back rustic beach vibe and good looking iguanas! We loved everything about this trip and highly recommend it.

This was by far our favorite excursion on our trip. We stayed in St. Maarten for 7 days, and this was my favorite day! Roy was a great captain! We snorkeled, visited beaches, saw sea turtles, and had the most fun! This is a must do if you are on the island!

We live just 28 miles from St. Maarten and come regularly to the island in order to do errands or just relax on the beach. We never really did any tourist trips and boy were we wrong not to!!!! I thought I knew the island pretty well, but by doing a boat trip around the island I noticed I do not know more than half of the island. The local crew on the boat is amazing and a lot of fun. Roy and OB understand how to cater to tourists and make your trip a memorable one. You can't beat the price for a whole day trip with snorkeling and free drinks for only $75! We will for sure be back and spend more time exploring the island from the sea. Kudos to a great operation with their management and staff!

We just got back from St. Maarten and agree that the boat ride around the island on Santino is our absolute favorite thing to do in St. Maarten. It's so much fun! There are several stops to swim and snorkel in the most turquoise blue water you have ever seen anywhere. My favorite stop is Long Bay. I could stay there all day. It's absolutely beautiful. The captain, Roy, is the best and makes the entire trip fun.

Had a wonderful day travelling with Captain Roy and Nakeim aboard the Santino circling around the entire island!
We saw the sites from the water, slowing and stopping where necessary for commentary. We enjoyed the snorkelling, seeing turtle, barracuda, small stingray and other marine life. We stopped for lunch at a local grill, overlooking the water where the choices were many, food delicious and prices great! Then back to our journey which included more stops for snorkelling or swimming along the way. We met people from all over the world, including a mature US couple and a young Dutchman who always take the Santino every time they come to the island. We will probably do the same, next time we’re here!
