The crew’s sailing expertise was top notch. They were also friendly, knowledgeable & professional. There was a nice variety of drinks available and the crew was very attentive, so you never had to wait for a refill. The snacks were just right; first pita chips with ham, salami & cheese slices followed shortly by ceviche, crackers & crab. All were delicious. The views were fantastic & the salsa type music made the experience even better.
You are seated for most of the time, unless you need to use the facilities located below deck. Sandals are fine to wear if you’re steady on your feet. You’re allowed to bring a bag/backpack, although it’s nice not having to worry about it going over or being in the way of the crew as they man the ropes or hoist the sails. A small crossbody bag would be best if one is needed. Having a light jacket is not necessary but rather a personal preference/weather temp dependent item.
A parking lot is located directly across from where you depart and was only $5 when we went.
This was a fabulous experience, be sure to include it on your itinerary! ⛵️

This was the highlight of my trip! I highly recommend it--it includes an open bar with signature drinks and hors d'oeuvres. The captain and guides were very attentive, and we had good interpretation of historic sites. Ezra played/sang a couple tunes on guitar (one original composition), which was awesome.

We felt very safe and had a lovely time sailing with the crew of the Amazing Grace. The crew was very friendly, energetic, and attentive and navigated us safely on a beautiful sunset tour of the harbor. We appreciated the information provided on the different landmarks, and the crew did a great job answering questions. Some of the historical information was not entirely accurate, but this could be improved upon. The food and drinks provided were very tasty, however, I would have appreciated if they were served on reusable plates and cups, as I felt bad that our boat ride created so much garbage.
The sunset sail was one of the highlights of our vacation. After navigating the city and its historic sites on foot, it was wonderful to see it from another perspective. A perfect way to spend an evening in Old San Juan.

I was very disappointed with this cruise. They have you show up an hour early and then don’t check you in until fifteen minutes before it departs. They tell you to bring ID and vaccination card but don’t check it. They tell you masks are mandatory and they will do temperature checks but neither is enforced. The sail boat was full and we were seated slightly away from the rest of the guests which meant we didn’t hear anything the guides had to say. They made no attempt to include all guests. There were three appetizers for snacking but they ran out when they got to us so we only got two with no apology. I was really looking forward to this but it was a huge disappointment and a waste of our money.

While the staff was friendly and engaging by letting us know what was going on throughout the ride, I feel like its still not worth the money I paid for. I went with my family and we were served drinks and appetizers but the staff for some reason would skip us a few times and when we asked if we could have some they would tell us they didnt have any left. Which was a bummer. We also ended up getting a bad weather day and had to end our ride early so it didnt feel like money well spent. And as far as views go, its just seeing the city from the harbor view. Theres no stunning view that you wouldnt see if you were in the city too.

This was an awesome experience! The service alone is worth it - the whole crew is really committed to making sure you have a great time, they share really interesting history and info about the area that you are sailing by but it also doesn't feel like a "tour" either - you get to just hang out and enjoy. They kept everyone well supplied with drinks and the appetizers were a lot more than we expected - both in quality and quantity. If you are debating just do yourself a favor and book it!

Just had a truly enjoyable time on the 2-hour sunset sail around the harbor near old San Juan and the forts. I (a charter boat captain myself, in the US Virgin Islands) was one of a group of 14 celebrating a birthday, so we were looking forward to some nice views and drinks on the water and were not disappointed. From our arrival, the crew was friendly, accommodating, and safety conscious. The 80'+ gaff-rigged schooner was clean, well maintained, and roomy for the number of guests aboard. Diego welcomed us and informed us about the safety features of the boat, and along with Ezra and Fernando attended to everyone with drinks, snacks, history of Puerto Rico and personal interaction. Captain Daniel navigated smoothly on a nice breezy day to provide us with some amazing views. The entire crew's level of service was excellent! It was a thoroughly satisfying way to have some cocktails, be on the water and see Old San Juan.

The crew had great energy and made sure we had our glass full of top shelf drinks. The captain was really sailing for a good portion of the trip not just motoring around a replica sailboat. Crew spoke English well and was knowledgeable about the history of the bay.

This was a great sunset sail (although we did get rained on a little bit) but it was memorable and I loved that there were snacks and drinks for the sunset sail.
The crew was great and had great history lessons about landmarks we passed. Super informative and I’d definitely do it again!

The sail delivered what it said it was going to deliver: a couple of enjoyable hours of sailing as the sun was going down. That's what we wanted and what we got! The staff were all very nice and attentive, always willing to refill your glass with your preferred beverage, in our case a rum punch with a little rum that didn't pack a lot of punch, but a couple of them were plenty anyhow, The snacks were pretty meager, but enough to complement the drinks. I'm glad we did it. By the way, the check-in procedure isn't as complicated as the confirmation suggests. If you're there a half hour before sail time, you'll be fine, though a bit earlier might get you a better seat.

Yes, the "Amazing Grace" of the sunset cruise in San Juan is parked immediately next to the major cruise ships. In my case, it wasn't more than 100 yards from my cruise ship.

Are there any cruises on Mondays? We will be in port on a cruise (8 people in our group) the first week of February, and would love to try this, but it looks like Mon-Tuesdays are not ever available?

I looked at the schedule and yes it appears there are no cruises on Mondays and Tuesdays. Not sure why other than staff days off or boat upkeep. There is a number to call and book, perhaps try that and ask. Hope it works out for you.
