Top of line scuba instruction and fun diving
We've just returned from Bayahibe where my two grandsons got their open water certification and the rest of the family did fun diving (and then went diving with the newly certified boys). We used Coral Point Diving and thought their instruction and entire diving operation was extraordinary. All of the staff was friendly, attentive, and fully professional. The Cressi equipment was all in good order, and the boats were set up properly for diving. We went in small groups (often just our family and 1 other diver) and the divemasters guided the dives and found lots of "stuff". A special call out to Ed and Paulina who made the boys (14 and 16) open water course a wonderful experience that left the boys entirely comfortable in the water, even on a night dive. And a special thanks to Ed who gave us some wonderful pictures and videos of the experience. We left feeling we had made new friends and the boys started on a lifetime of diving. Not to leave out the fact that the dive sites were terrific.

    Amazing Dive Shop!
It's one of the best dive shops I've ever had the pleasure to dive with. First, the communication that Natalia provided to help set up our dives was fantastic! Very prompt and informative. She even set up the taxi rides from our resort Casa de Campo to their shop. When I got there the first day, she got me all set with gear, and then was my guide for the day. My wife and I also dove with Ed on an afternoon and night dive. My final day, Ari and Paulia, led our dives. Everyone was Awesome! They all pointed out great critters on the dives. The shop is right on the beach, with a great restaurant right on site. Almost all the dive sites were only minutes away on the boat. We had a great Capt as well. You can't go wrong with Coral Point Diving! 5 stars are not enough for them! Experienced, Knowable, Fun, Happy, and Caring!

    Fun and friendly dives
The coral point team is friendly, welcoming, highly professional and very safe. I’m an advanced diver and they got me set up and booked right away for a couple of dives when I went by their shop. They also took my cousin on a discovery course - they spent one on one time training and made her first dive experience excellent Thank you for some great dives!

Advanced Open Water with Coral Point Diving
Had a great time diving with the Coral Point team. Thanks to Ed Settle for helping me achieve my advanced open water certification. I started communicating with them about a month before our trip. They were very responsive and helpful. We stayed in Punta Cana, which is about an hour from Bayahibe. CP arranged the travel and though it wasn’t cheap, the driver was right on time and there was no hassle. Ed is a great instructor, and I also worked with Ana, who was working as an instructor intern. Diving was from a small boat and there were about 8 divers plus three dive masters. The staff is very helpful and multilingual. I highly recommend the CP team!

    Quality Dive Shop
Five tanks over 2 days of diving with Dive Master Martin. This is a small operation and they are capable of customizing your experience. They are professionals. they fill their own tanks, and follow all the PADI guidelines for safety and education. I cheated on them for our 3rd day of diving and used a competitor Scuba Caribe. That was a mistake as they paired us with an uncertified diver and took him to 70ft, and waisted half our day sitting on a beach. The boats are pretty small and the waters can be a little rough so make sure to let them know if you have recently had back surgery!

A small family business that provides you with an amazing experience. I've done with the guys 15 dives including a night dive. All the dives I've done with Martin (DM) and Paula (instructor). Amazing people, good vibes, and big hearts! Plenty of things to see underwater. I managed to see a couple of turtles and other amazing creatures. The best diving site is St. George wreck, Penon, and Tortuga. Small groups. Thank you for the amazing dives!

    Nice !!
Me and my boyfriend made 14/15 dives with them. Price it s really good. Only mabye slightly ‘bad point’ is that me and my boyfriend are super cold so the wet suits are 2.5mm. The water is actually quite hot 28Cso if you are like us bring your own wetsuit or something to put under the wet suit to be hot. In the end they provided us with long wetsuits 2.5 mm and shorties 2.5 mm so that we would be hotter.😝😂 but Anyway most of the people were diving with only shorties and they were just fine. ☺️ We loved the fact that the groups stay small, and the diving destinations change a lot. Big shout out to Martin (dive master) for his good vibe and to Paola (istructor) for her good and heart warming vibes. Professional and safe diving here!! You might even get some new knowledge with them about different sea life. 😉 also i have a back problem and they adapted really good and helped really out in need ! A big thank you to the whole team for those nice dives and meeting all of you guys! Amazing dives!🤍

    Fantastic first dive!
We did the discover scuba diving session and it was fantastic! Three of us, all first time diving and the team at coral point took great care of us. They were very professional and friendly and took the time to teach us the skills needed in the shallows, patiently working with us one at a time to make sure we were happy to move onto the next task. When we were ready they took us out by a short boat trip to a shipwreck at 12m deep. What an amazing first open water dive! To see the wreck and all the fantastic marine life was an unforgettable experience. Big thanks to Carlos and Kayleigh for instructing us and just generally being cool. And to the other divers who assisted us one-to-one on our dive to the wreck. We hope this is the start of our scuba journey and if we find ourselves back in the DR coral point will be our first stop. Thanks from Ash, Graham and Mandy.

Friendly staff, small group with good master-diver ratio
Coral Point Diving is the best if you are looking for a genuine dive experience - multilingual and super friendly instructos and divemasters will lead yoi and a small group to amazing dive points throughout Bayahibe. Equipment is well maintained and evertone is so friendly and welcoming. Whether or not you are experienced, I would recommend you to visit PCD for your dive experience in Bayahibe.

    Fun, safe, and great orientation!
I've been diving since 2012, and Coral Point Diving gave one of the best and detailed orientations I've had. They had beautiful hand-drawn maps of each dive site and labeled pictures of wildlife that we would potentially see. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and loved what they do. When I couldn't remember what I saw after the dives but described it to Natalia back at the shop, she could identify exactly what I was talking about. You can tell that they take safety seriously. In our group, two of us were doing fun dives and 2 others were doing their advanced certification. They had 5 staff members on the dives just for the 4 of us!

    Truly a 5 star experience!!
Hello fellow divers! My son and I just finished our 4 dives with Coral Point diving. This being our 1st trip (diving) to the DR. We can not express how extremely happy we are that we found Coral Point!! Luca and his staff were more than perfect! We felt right at home. So thankful for the smaller group of divers (6 divers, 2 instructors)!! Other dive shops had 30-40 divers (to many)!! Super experience!! I would tell anyone going to DR to definitely book at Coral Point!! Thank you Coral Point for the great memories!! Paul and Jack.

    relaxed yet safe dive operation
I love their relaxed attitude (dont worry, everything safe - they "read" the divers and treat them accordingly, so thorough instructions where needed whereas experienced divers aren't treated like children). All staff are friendly. I give them 5* despite their gear can be a bit worn, plus I prefer real dive fins open heel. Everything safe enough though and despite I check my gear every time myself, never found a flaw in the setup. Thanks Matty, Kim, Luca, Gio, Paulo for smiles and hugs and laughter - + thanks to whatever the names of their cat and dogs running around making it even more enjoyable :-)

This was INCREDIBLE! I had initially had tons of problems with diving, including equalization problems and tooth squeeze. However, my instructor, Ed, was very cool about it and helped me get my certification. I'm sure that at any other dive shop I would've been unable to get my open water certification. I would like to thank this dive shop and specifically Ed for that. The boat wasn't the nicest ride but the tanks stayed in place and the instructors are REALLY nice! All of them are very professional and show you what they see! I saw Goliath Grouper and a Green Moray Eel and only because the instructor pointed that out! (Maybe it's hard to miss a grouper my size though!) It was truly great. The wreck we went to was called the "Atlantic Princess" and it was spectacular! It had everything from big fish to the massive boat and a nearby reef! The dive shop is next to many incredible reefs and wrecks! ITs a very safe experience with kind staff, and more! Although, Like anywhere in the Dominican I wouldn't recommend leaving items like phones or wallets on the boat! Everything you need for diving, however, is safe and sound! I full-heartedly recommend this shop and again I would like to thank the instructor Ed!

Highly, HIGHLY recommend this dive shop, especially for people looking to get their initial open water certification. My husband and I had been talking about getting scuba certified for years, and finally decided to head to the Dominican to get our open water. We found this dive shop here on TripAdvisor, and all of the reviews are spot on - this dive shop is awesome. It is filled with multilingual staff with exceptional diving experience, all of whom were so helpful and patient with us as we worked through our skills. The equipment is top notch. Our divemaster, Ed, was amazing. He taught us so much, and made us feel comfortable and encouraged doing our first open water dives. The entire experience was incredible. We are forever grateful to Ed, Luca, Paolo, and the rest of the Coral Point staff for opening up this new world for us! Our new favorite hobby!

As a diver with a little bit of experience (70 dives), I watched my boyfriend undertake his Open Water at Coral Point these last few days.
I joined for 4 fun dives as well (refreshing some of my open water skills in the process). His instructor Ed, was really great. My boyfriend speaks little English, and so with the help of a french-speaking and fantastic dive master Clara, I had no concerns with his formation. The quality of teaching, the general encouragement, and the jovial enviroment was fantastic. Kudos to both Ed and Clara for their efforts!

Coral Point is definitely a dive shop I'd come back to - it not a factory, the quality of teaching is great, and you are spoilt with the variety of dive sites (reefs, wrecks, great diversity of fishes!), agreeable water temperatures (even in Winter!), and a welcoming, multilingual environment!

We had a wonderful experience with the instructors of Coral Point Scuba Diving our baptism to the world of scuba diving.
Barbara and JD were so patient and clear with their instruction and guidance. I am inspired to take the rest of the course when I can and I would encourage anyone in for their first dive to do it with the Intl crew of Coral Point diving

Patri and Ed were the best instructors ever, tailoring the whole course to make it clear, useful, and so much fun! Everyone working there is so friendly and excited about diving. Booking was simple, and transportation is available for some resorts. Highly recommend diving through Coral Point as opposed to one through a resort.

Both my daughter and I completed the open water dive course this week at coral point. We made the hour drive from Punta cana base on other recommendations. We sure are glad we did. The place is very well organized and has plenty of staff from all over the world to help. We were assigned Ed as an instructor. Ed was a life long diver and very experienced. He was calm smart and was able to deliver the information in a way that was easy to understand. His knowledge and disposition took any fear or worry out of going 60 feet under water the first time. I felt totally secure and with him by are side I was at ease. The dive sites were all packed with great stuff to see and an easy boat ride from shore. The town was great and the restaurant next to the dive shop was great.
