Yes, the reviews are accurate. What an amazing experience we had with the 100 Degrees East team. From the first email exchange I had with Cara, it was such a professional and well organised experience. Our trip was actually delayed due to the weather but Cara was in contact to let us know and I definitely appreciated waiting a few days until the weather improved to give us a better experience. We were picked up on time from our hotel, had a quick briefing at the centre and headed out on the speedboat to the first dive site in Koh Tao. My wife was diving, I was snorkelling, and we both had a great small group experience. We had a fantastic lunch and then another dive/snorkel followed by a final one at the end of the day where we swam with turtles. Honestly this was one of the best trips I’ve been on, staff and crew were fantastic and I would 100% recommend them. We also did the Angthong trip which was great too, see my other review!

We had a fantastic day with the Kho Tao tour, dive sites were beautiful, the boat was very comfortable and the diving equipment was perfect. Above all, the crew was amazingly nice, smily and helpful. Ben was fun and professional, he was a good instructor for those who dived for the first time. Definitely recommending this company for a diving trip in Kho Tao. Charles and Family 😊

We had the absolute best experience with the 100 Degree East Dive team. It was our first time snorkeling in the seas and we were guided exceptionally well through everything. The boat was in great shape and clean, the equipment they provided was very good, we had two senior team members guide us in the sea plus others on deck. You just have to show up at your hotel lobby with your swimsuit and they take care of the rest. Boat ride is one and half hour each way. Fresh fruits and lots of cold drinks throughout plus towels. We saw plenty of fish and coral and a giant turtle! We snorkelled at a total of three sites around Ko Thao and anchored off Mango Bay where the crew set up lunch- a whole spread of veggie curries, rice and fried chicken. The vegetarian food was on our account, since they ask us for food preferences before the trip and generously followed through with our request. There was plenty of space on the boat with 9 people plus crew members with 7 of us snorkeling and 2 diving. Each couple had their own guide in the waters. They even took our photos and took care of us in all possible ways. A big thanks to the team. Weather was partially cloudy which saved us from the sun a bit. Would highly recommend this trip and company to everyone considering snorkeling or diving. Thank you for the memorable experience!

Its hard to put in to words how well this tour is run. They have thought about everything in meticulous detail to make sure that everyone has an amazing time. I’d specifically like to mention the fact that there were 7 staff for a tour of 12 people - lived up to the VIP name! I can not recommend this tour enough!

A small family run business, with excellent staff, organisation, and kind, caring individuals, who genuinely want you to have a great time. I wish TripAdvisor could rate them as 6*, as this trip exceeded all my expectations - best tour I have been on. I want to give the biggest thanks to Cara (for being patient with my endless Whatsapp messages) and Ben (dive instructor) for looking after me while diving, especially when I occasionally bumped into him not knowing which direction I was swimming or going up and down on my buoyancy. Actually all the team were incredible, from boat crew, to the transfer and in between. I was a bit apprehensive paying the extra for this tour, but if you take anything from my review, go with this company. You will not be dissapointed in the slightest for the price. For what you get, it’s a bargain. I did 2 discover scuba diving with this company and it was perfect. Was picked up by one of the team and taken to their base, greeted by one of the owners (Cara) who I’d been communicated and booked through Whatsapp. Was briefed by Ben (dive instructor) and then on our way on the speedboat to spots avoiding a lot of the tourists (they go out of their way to find the best spots). This team really goes above and beyond, with a max of 12 customers on board (14 if children), soft drinks throughout, water, fruit, a delicious cooked meal set-up at a beautiful beach (Mango Bay)… delicious! A cold shower after scuba (really woke me up!). Ben (dive instructor) was super friendly, easy to chat to, and helpful. I was lucky enough to have 1-1 instruction on the tour by him, and really gave me the confidence to dive (last time did an intro dive 10+years in Australia). He made sure to make me aware of the rare species we saw, chatted afterwards to make sure I enjoyed, and felt like we were a team when diving! Really keen on doing my PADI license after this - really do commend him on his ability as an instructor - thanks Ben!! Could not fault the company, everything was timed perfectly, well-run, and it’s the small things that show they all care - crew asking if you wanted a drink throughout, chatting to us, one of the guides went to take a picture of a turtle for me, as I struggled to freedive. And the team (and the owners) were waiting for us on the beach as we were coming back. You read many reviews that are 5 stars, but this company exceeds that massively, and you would regret not going with them. Thank you to all of you, and if I return to Samui again, I will be at the front of the queue to book again :-)

A truly amazing experience from start to finish; we had an incredible time thanks to Roon, Cara and the rest of the 100 Degrees team. From our initial WhatsApp correspondence with Cara to the very warm welcome on the morning of our trip and then the trip itself; everything was faultless. The boat crew were ace and our guide (the legend himself, Mr Tom) was super knowledgable and a joy to be around. The delicious home cooked food, the clever timings to avoid any crowds (thanks to Roon's years of experience) and the mind blowing beauty of Koh Tao made this a BIG highlight of our holiday!!! Cannot recommend these lovely humans enough (in fact we liked them so much, we actually booked two trips!!!) Mike, Joss, Max and Manny x

Change your mind later? You have until the day before the trip to cancel for a refund. It made my work easier from the start. The trip was private. We are two of the nine people onboard, and Ben took care of both of my wife and I pretty well during the snorkeling tour. The free lunch was great and the dining experience was spectacular and one of a kind. Very sustainable crews - water is provided in recyclable bottles and kept chilled. I really recommend this tour to anyone who’s looking for a private, tranquil, and easygoing snorkeling experience. 非常棒的一次体验，店家有足够的有经验的潜水教练，可以尽量满足你对潜水的要求。我和我的爱人分配到了教练Ben，他带我们见到了Lion fish还有一只大海龟，看着海龟自由自在在海里畅游感觉太棒了。如果不放心，可以先预定上，如果计划有变，可以更改预定。店家沟通回复很及时，很有诚意，做生意诚信最重要。

I don't often write reviews but after such an amazing experience I really couldn't let the opportunity pass to share what a great company this is and what a fabulous experience we had. Don't hesitate and book. We are a family of four (one teen, one 10 year-old) plus my mum - Cara was fantastic from start to finish making sure that my mum (who didn't want to snorkel) was catered for and ensured that she enjoyed the trip regardless of not wanting to get in the water. She even called whilst we were out at Kao Tao to makesure mum was ok - unbelievably kind and really made mum feel special (she was celebrating her 70th birthday). We felt looked after from start to finish, Cara helped us decide which trip was the right one for us and never failed to answer any of my questions (even the silly ones). From being picked up from the hotel to our return we were so looked after. The team are first class and complete pro's all the way. Big shout out to Ben who managed the whole thing perfectly. All the team were so attentive and skilled at what they do, we really couldn't not have asked for anything else. Whilst in the sea our guide Cola (amazing driver) really did an amazing job and we had the best time ever swimming in the most perfect sea and swimming in what felt like a dream, the colours, the fish completely awesome. Lunch was so lovely - the setting, the food, everything. Our 10 year old who can be a fussy eater woofed down the chicken and rice and said it was the best meal he had ever had! My only advice would be please make sure that you use suncream on your back and back of your legs/bum or better still cover them up - we were advised - so all our fault - but as first timers we were rather sore from sunburn but it was worth it for one of the best experiences of all time - but if we can pass on anything cover up! Thank Cara for everything, you and your team really did make this the highlight of our trip to Thailand we cannot thank you enough!

Wow what an amazing trip. Everything ran seamlessly from the moment I made contact with Cara to book our trip right through to the end of the day when we were dropped back at our hotel. Every detail had been thought of. The staff on the boat were amazing and looked after us with care and kindness. We had 1 snorkel guide for our family of 5 who made sure we saw as much of the beautiful marine life as possible. We even got to see turtles. The lunch provided was delicious and there was an endless supply of soft drinks throughout the day. We all had the best day. Thank you.

We had a fantastic day! Everything was perfectly organized and taken care of. Everyone enjoyed the day thanks to the crew and the smooth organization. Myself and the kids were snorkeling with a super kind and expert guide (1 for 2/4 people) while my partner scuba dive with Ben. We all had an amazing day. There really not enough ways to say how amazing Cara and the team are - WHAT A DAY! We booked this trip and brought our 3 young children - the team were amazing. They were so patient with us all and helpful. We did quite a few tours when on Samui and this was BY FAR the best. Every detail has been looked after and is taken care of. And the snorkelling spots on Koh Tao are unreal. We saw a turtle, reef sharks, an abundance of coral and fish. An amazing day to remember and made all the more special by the 100 degrees east team. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is the best boat tour we have ever been one, many in Thailand and other countries. From the initial contact to the drop off, the team were totally professional. They take care of everything for you: supply a personal water bottle, towels laid out for each guest after snorkeling trip, your shoes laid out on the pier when you step off piers, giving out all sorts of local information, taking pictures for you on your own personal phone and camera, the list goes on and on. The groups are small, max 12 adults and total max 14 and with 6 staff, the level of care and attention is outstanding. Snorkeling was great and we saw a lot of fishes and sea life. Canoeing was fun, lunch was very tasty with home cooked Thai dishes. I fully recommend this trip and thanks to Ben, Mr T and rest of team for making it a truly spectacular day.

Wonderful day out snorkelling with family friends. We all loved it. Visibility was great and we saw spectacular fish and turtles. The team at 100 degrees East are excellent. Very professional and organised from booking through to the day of the snorkelling. Crew were fantastic; caring, calm and attentive. Food that was provided was delicious. Would highly recommend.
