Go to guide for Dublin and Wicklow
Wonderful guide. We toured Powerscourt estate and gardens, Wicklow countryside,a small shore side town and historic Dublin. Very knowledgeable in all aspects. Dairine has a friendly and easygoing personality. Helpful too. One of our group needed a pharmacy (chemist) stop to fill a prescription. We had it filled going I to Dublin and picked it up on the way back stopping only a few minutes.

          Wonderful tour of Wicklow
We had the most wonder day exploring Wicklow with Dairine. She was so thoughtful in helping plan the day based on what our family's interests were and was a warm and welcoming guide. She took us to so many places that we never would have seen on our own, and told us many interesting stories and histories along the way and answered all the questions we had about life in Ireland past and present. We learned from her and really enjoyed her company. The day with her was a real treat and highlight of our trip!

          Wonderful day!
Most delightful day with Dairine. She is very knowledgeable and is a great tour guide. Unfortunately, the weather was rainy all day long. But that did not keep us from having a wonderful day touring St. Patrick'sCathedral and the Book of Kell's. Had a great Irish lunch at a local pub together with a Harp beer. Highly recommend this tour.

          Must do tour of Dublin
My family of four did a walking tour of Dublin with Dairine. She is very knowledgeable and made the tour interesting and fun! We would have missed many of the sights without her. She packed so much information and sight seeing in just a few hours! We definitely recommend her to show you Dublin!

The real insider's tour of Dublin!
My wife and I went to Dublin to celebrate my birthday. We decided to book a one day, private walking tour of the city as we wanted to have the flexibility to change the itinerary on the fly and ask questions as we walked around the city. Our guide, Dairine Nuttall, did a fabulous job on delivering Dublin to us on a silver platter. We saw the entire city, walking 12km, and were provided the history and local information on the sights we viewed. Dairine took us to some 'off the beaten track' stops to be educated and entertained with stories of historical and human interest. At the end of the day, we had seen places that we knew we wanted to more thoroughly tour. We were happy to relax at our hotel with a pint of the dark stuff and relive the day and set the schedule of our further exploration for the next day. We cannot recommend Dairine enough, she enabled us to know and embrace the face and fabric of Dublin.

10 star guided tour of Dublin -best experience ever!!
Don't go to Dublin without booking a tour with Dairine!!! It was the smartest thing we did. Our plane was slightly delayed but luckily she was texting and emailing us and to make it easier for us, agreed to meet at your hotel instead of having us find the location so that was great. We really appreciated her flexibility. We told her we wanted to WALK and walk we did! In 3.5 hours (the Literary/art tour of Dublin) we saw EVERYTHING and then some! She was delightful, knowledgeable, insightful, kind and fun. It saved us HOURS of time to have her guide us through some of the museums (like the National Art Museum) so we could see highlights without spending hours. I still can't believe how much ground we covered from 2 museums, Trinity College, several parts, shopping areas plus a short stop to eat as we were starving. Her knowledge spanned from history, art, and literature to local gossip, color and neighborhood info. I don't think you could find a more passionate or well-informed guide who felt like part of our family. We only have 2 days on the ground here and today we did so much that I'm not worried about missing anything. We can't thank her enough for the amazing tour.

Super day trip in Dublin docks
Me and my friend did walking tour of Dublin docks with Dairine and I found the tour to be super helpful. I have been to Dublin for 2 months now and wanted to understand the history and story behind different sculptures and bridges present in the city. Dairine raised in Dublin was sufficiently aware of the city's history and gave us different perspective to look into the city.

          Four Day Tour
This tour was amazing. Led by a very highly informative and delightful lady called Dairine. Regardless of the ages and stages of this group, she made sure that everyone felt welcome and valued. She had obviously done her homework of the area and could keep us well informed and entertained for the duration of the trip. I would highly recommend to all all.

Dairine and Dublin go hand in hand!
After doing some research, thank heavens I chose Dairine for a tour of Dublin with 3 visiting friends. She was so responsive and helpful in advance and on the day she collected us from our door in her lovely Mercedes and took us to all the sights we wanted to see. Her enthusiasm, knowledge and energy made for a fantastic day in a fabulous city. We learned so much from her about the city that we would never have done otherwise. I couldn't recommend her enough. What a find.

          Perfect Tour of Dublin
Dairine was a wonderful guide. We deliberately arranged our layover to be long enough to allow a quick trip into Dublin. With no time to waste trying to navigate the city ourselves, we decided to book a private tour. We are so happy we did. Dairine is a true professional. She was responsive via email in arranging the tour. She picked us up with no issue at arrivals in her immaculate car, and we were off. She quickly assessed our interests and personalized a tour that was absolutely perfect. We had an ideal mix of the beautiful outdoors and a sampling of museums and landmarks. Her selections fit our time-crunched schedule and suited our style. She discussed topical cultural and political issues and pointed out fascinating details in art, architecture, and archeology. We absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a guided tour. We plan to return to Ireland, next time for a proper stay. When we do, we will certainly book with Dairine again.

We spent a wonderful day with Dairine in Glendalough and Powerscourt. She’s very knowledgeable in general history and history of the area as well as an avid hiker. She let us through the Abbey and then a 3 hour hike with gorgeous views, then Powerscourt gardens where she demonstrated her in depth knowledge of both history and horticulture. I highly recommend Dairine as a tour guide, especially if you like beautiful walks and hikes with spectacular views and interesting stories. She’s reachable on Dnuttal@eircom.net You will come away with beautiful pictures and wonderful memories.

Superb Tour of the Wicklow Area
Dairine was the perfect guide for our visit to the Wicklow area. We have been touring Ireland with another couple and we all agreed that she couldn't have been more gracious, knowledgeable and engaging. We have been quite interested in the current political situation in Ireland and England and asked if she could help us understand the problems faced by these countries. She spent some time (over breakfast) talking about the current political issues and presented not only her own views, but also the views of others. With that out of the way, we set off first to the Powerscourt Estate, which has one of the most beautiful gardens in the world, and later to Glendalough, a wonderful National Park in the Wicklow Mountains. There were other small stops in between. Dairine has extensive knowledge of the many special places in the region as this is where she lived as a child and still lives today. She is skilled enough to tailor a tour for almost any taste.

Dairine is amazing! She knows everything about everything and is very engaging, entertaining, and communicates so clearly. Her tour covers so many of the must see sights around Dublin and at the end of it, we knew so much about Irish history, culture, and natural beauty. This is one of the best tours we have ever taken!

Dairine is an excellent tour guide, with a vast knowledge of the area. She lives near Wicklow and just south of Dublin. We started the tour with a pick up from our hotel. We had a quick drive around phoenix park and stopped for a walk near the home of the US Ambassador.
We stopped at the beautiful picture postcard village of Enniskerry for a short stroll and a coffee. Our next stop was Powerscourt, which is a fabulous estate and gardens that won third place in a National Geographic award.
We enjoyed a lovely walk around the grounds, followed by a lunch on the terrace. We were driven around Glencree, past the Guinness lake (Lough Tay) before a visit to the beautiful lakes at Glendalough. Another great walk by the lakes before being driven back to our hotel in Dublin.
Highly recommended tour by an exceptional tour guide.

If a bus ride with 30+ people and a tight schedule doesn’t appeal to you consider a small tour by a local. We booked a trip with Dairine for an excursion throughout Wicklow. Personalized for our group, we started with an easy ride to Powerscourt Gardens and spent over an hour touring the various gardens with a short coffee break. Then headed through the national park stopping view the mountains and lakes along the way. We stopped for a wonderful lunch before heading for a 3.4 mile hike around Glendalough and its monastic city. Dairine was extremely knowledgeable and was able to offer history and perspectives as a true local guide. We throughly enjoyed our day would highly recommend a tour with Dairine.

My parents (60s) and I (early 30s) enjoyed a wonderful day in Wicklow with Dairine. From the start I had excellent communication and planning with Dairine. The day of our tour we didn't have the best weather (cold & rainy), but Dairine kept a great attitude which spread to us as well. She adapted our day to fit the weather and our interests. We went to a farm museum (perfect for my family with a history in agriculture) and saw not only so many historical items, but our lovely host provided so much detailed information. This ended up being a highlight for my father and great way to stay out of the rain. Throughout our tour we had lovely chats with Dairine, and she shared so much interesting history (past & present) with us about Wicklow & Ireland. She has incredible time-management and got us to many locations without us feeling rushed or as if we were missing something. I HIGHLY recommend a tour with Dairine, it will be the highlight of your trip!

Dairine did an incredible job helping us find our ancestral farm, parish church and family connections in Port Arlington, Ireland. She was so knowledgeable and well versed in local history. We feel that she went above and beyond to cater the day to our personal preferences and goals. After a successful morning of finding out more about our family history in the area, we enjoyed a lovely tour of Trinity College Library, the Book of Kells, the Museum of Archeology and many more Dublin highlights. Thank you, Dairine, for making our day so memorable!

Traveling to Ireland on our Sisters' Trip, Dairine was our guide for two days trips from Dublin: one to Wicklow and the other to Kilkenny. Dairine's knowledge of and enthusiasm for her native County Wicklow was infectious, and we enjoyed her stories and points of interest unique to her experience growing up and raising her own girls there. The scenery and places visited were spectacular and we truly enjoyed our time with her.

Dairine is everything you’d want in a local tour guide. Punctual, informative, kind, and flexible. She arrived on time to pick us up at the train in Dublin, and took us on an excellent tour through out Dalkey and the Wicklow Mountains. She knew all the right spots and made sure we maximized the limited time we had. She also was very informative on all the history which was a great bonus. Highly recommend and thank you again Dairine! Hope to see you again!
