    Yanaka old town tour
Hana our guide was absolutely fantastic. She was full of passion and enthusiasm. We went into areas where you wouldn't go without local knowledge. The temples and shrines were beautiful. The local bakery in the old timber house was really worth a visit and the grave yard was very interesting. Thankyou Hana.

    Magical experience
I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The mountains of Kyoto were beautiful even in rainy weather. My guide Mizuho was knowledgeable and fun to talk with. Whether you’re a hiker or not this is a can’t miss tour.

Your lucky with Yuki as Guide
We had a great time with Yuki. We are 2 Couples (35 bis 38 Years) that traveled the first time to Japan. Friends recommended Mt. Takao for a Daytrip. We were so lucky to have Yuki as our Guide. She picked us up from the station, asked us questions and made a trip that suited us. Couldnt asked for more.

A great tour and guide Mana
Mana was a wonderful guide, taking us to many places that we would never have found on our own. Mana had a great knowledge, and the tour had a great variety. A very enjoyable experience and thank you Mana.

    Good seafood and historical site
We had a very nice guide through Omakase travel agency. This helped us to know history, local traditions and much about the Nebuda festival.

Solo traveller - book it :)
My first trip to Japan and doing it solo so booked this tour to give me some insight to things I wouldn’t have considered. Emiko was my guide and was lovely and very accommodating. I had such a great day taking everything in and would recommend booking with Emiko who is very knowledgeable of the area and provided some great information and also some suggestions for the next part of my trip :)

The best of Osaka and Kyoto
We did two tours with a lovely guide Sach. One in Osaka and another in Kyoto we had a great time and certainly saw some of the best highlights in both cities. You can relax and take in the best highlights and not worry about using transport and navigating your way around. She was very knowledgeable and I would definately recommend doing a tour with her.

Excellent tour to gain insights to history and culture.
The tour was very well planned to visit sites which would provide greater insight to Japanese history, culture and traditions. Our guide Kaori was pleasant and very knowledgeable. She even had helpful illustrations such as one distinguishing the roles of shrines and temples in people's lives. Highly recommend!

Perfect day spent on a tea farm and viewing Mount Fuji
We had a perfect guideid tour with our guide Miyuki, everything went smoothly and we were lucky with the weather too so we were able to get a full view of Mount Fuji. The hosts at the tea farm were super friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoyed getting to know the details of tea picking and different types of teas including a tea tasting. Overall a great experience!

Unique and fun experience highly recommended
I was in Japan for business and am so glad that I made time for this tour. Yoshiko was a great tour guide, we got to know eachother well because I was the only one on the tour so it ended up being a private one. This part of Tokyo combines a lot of things at once, interesting architecture, historical shrines, beautiful nature, great food and at the end a chance to buy a few souvenirs. I definitely felt like I was off the beaten path and able to see things that other tourists could miss. Yoshiko provided just the right balance of historical/social information and fun. I would highly recommend this tour!

    Fun full day exploring Kobe
We really enjoyed this full day exploring Kobe. The carpentry museum was great and the building was a cool mix of modern architecture with great wood details, but I'm a woodworker so your mileage may vary. The ride (gondolas) to get to the top of the herb gardens was fun. If you enjoy gardens and beautiful views of the city, you'll enjoy this. The shrine was a nice stop in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. I will say, compared to some other places in Japan, Kobe seemed a little more run down. The sake museum and tasting was ok, especially if you compare it with some of the distillery tours in the US. It's a long commute for the experience. Our tour guide was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed learning more about Japan and Kobe as we explored the city and the sights together.

This was one of the loveliest tours I've ever been on. I got to spend the afternoon with Masayo san, who was incredibly welcoming and friendly from the start, as well as fluent in Japanese and English, which was super helpful. Every step along the way around Shinagawa was super interesting, I could barely catch up with taking notes and photos. I really felt transported back into the Edo period and with all the additional information provided by my friendly guide, I got such a great impression of how life 300 years in this area must have been like. I learned about Japanese traditions, religions, language, food and more. Masayo san had an answer for every question I had :-)
I really loved the tour and I would 100% recommend!

Arigatou gozaimasu!

We really enjoyed this tour. We saw an area that was off the beaten path now, around the Tokaido, yet very important in the history of Tokyo. It was wonderful to see several small shrines and temples that were not at all crowded, and to learn how they fit into modern Japanese life. Also enjoyed seeing the small independent businesses that still exist, such as the kimono store and the tea cafe. Our guide, Hitomi, was friendly , knowledgeable, and fun. She gave us a nice perspective of how the city and people have evolved over time.

My partner and I did a walking tour on a Sunday with Fumiko. Fumiko was so friendly, took lots of photos of us and gave us advice on where else we could visit. It was really cool to do a tour of a part of the city that wasn’t touristy. It’s a beautiful area with a cool history. We saw many shrines and temples. Just fyi, nothing much opens in Japan until 10am so you’ll find a morning walk quiet, and on a Sunday much was closed so there was a few places we couldn’t go into.

Shinagawa is an old part of Tokyo (the first stop on the ancient Tokaido Road), but it is now covered by many new office buildings. This tour helps you to see beyond the new architecture and to catch a glimpse of the old Shinagawa. Omakase Tours was easy to work with and very efficient. Our tour guide, Hitomi-san, was excellent: knowledgeable, personable, and articulate.

We only had one full day in Tokyo. We found this walking tour and we are so pleased we decided to go on it.
Our guide, Fumiko, was an absolute delight! Spoke good English and most informative.
This is an ideal way to be introduced to Tokyo. It's a quiet area easy to get to by subway. Quaint houses and shops selling all kinds of goods mainly to the locals. Visited several of these shops, sipping local tea and finishing off in a quaint tea house with local delicacies. We visited many shrines all within easy walking distance of each other. Peaceful and clean, most people riding bicycles.

Had an amazing tour of Shinagawa which is the old town of Tokyo, the buildings and streets are typical of another age. Trades and crafts still continue in traditional ways and people are friendly and welcoming. Our guide, Masayo Usuki was excellent, her knowledge of the area, its history and opening our eyes to another part of the city.
For anyone interested in the history of the real Tokyo this is a tour not to be missed.

Yushima is a great tour guide who fully explains the historical context of the Shinigawa area. The walking is enjoyable and I particularly enjoyed the short climb up the mini Mount Fuji (you have to be there to experience it). A truly delightful experience - highly recommended!

Masayo was so knowledgeable about Japanese history and the history of the Shinagawa area. She took us to lots of ‘out of the way’ places that we might have walked past if we had been walking on our own and shared her knowledge of these places.
The visit to the tea house was great, not to mention well-deserved after all the walking, and the visit to the rice cracker shop was very special.
Thank you Masayo for a great afternoon & tour on our first day in Japan.

Hitomi is a wonderful guide and the tour is very informative. Apart from the historical nuggets and seeing the origins of the business district it was great just to spend time with her and learn about life in modern day Japan.

She has a charming manner and made it great fun.

Highly recommend.

Hi Toni was a great guide for this interesting tour of historic Shinaaawa. She had many stories and photos of the area. Her English is excellent. She had relationships with vendors that allowed us gracious entry to their shops. The choice of places to see was a great mix of temples, shrines, shops and even a mini-Fuji experience at the end.
