Wonderful fish and chips. My partner had the large haddock and chips and I had fishcake and chips. Both freshly cooked. The haddock was indeed large. Lovely batter, not too thick and super flakey haddock. You can't really go wrong with a fishcake but that too, was delicious. Perfect chips, golden and crisp outside, fluffy in the middle. Not a hint of grease anywhere. Over 60s menu is very good value. (See 2nd photo.).Dogs are allowed in. All the staff are LOVELY. Go there!

Review of The Lobster Inn

Odd that the Lobster Inn and the Lobster Inn Bed & Breakfast are the same, but have two places for reviews here. Anyway, we have visited, and the issue is the cost, with a pint and a glass of wine being over £13.00. It is too much. We looked at the breakfasts, and they are £8.50, which is too much, too. The refurbishment looks fine, but there are these odd neon cocktail signs, and there is an annoying 'book' for booking a tabel, that is placed on the table to denote, 'booked'! It is doubly annoying, as it meas if you are just in a pub for a drink, you are made to move.

Next, and this is serious, the same reviewer who also left an over praising review for the B & B site, has surfaced again, and is clearly a Stonegate member of staff! She states, this time, ''Food great and beautiful pub, nice to see a local business getting some investment. Previously poor so this was much, much better. Great taste and will be returning.'' This is so clearly someone making a statement about its own business! See her 28 other listings, with just 2 not being about pubs, and the remaining 26 being about Stonegate pubs - only!

Every pub is in the east of England or the east Midlands, and anyone can see them, they are: The Cutting Room, Melton Mowbray, The Crown, Sheringham, The New Inn, Horning, The Friary, Leicester, The Oak Tree, Norwich, The Lamb Inn, Norwich, The Old Bank, Grantham, The Old Post Office, Newark, The Admiral Rodney, Southwell, The Jolly Fisherman, Skegness, The Turnpike, Bawtry, The Green Dragon, Mansfield! This, along with the other review praising Oliver and his team, appears to be the review of a Stonegate member of staff, invited for the trial, and then leaving a review, which is against the platform's rules, as it is false!

As stated, she has left the same review for the B & B, but it is so clear that a member of this company is only leaving reviews for this company. This is wrong.

Went for a couple of drinks Friday 15th March sat outside with two dogs, staff brought out snacks for the dogs and were extremely friendly. Went back for an amazing Sunday lunch, again so impressed with the staff. All so friendly and never stopped smiling. Would highly recommend this place and look forward to a return visit.

Menu was nowhere as good as sample menu. A lot of items not available. Check before booking. Most of the fish dishes. Were not available.

Booked for Sunday lunch - after a friendly welcome and a drink in the bar service in the restaurant was excellent and the food was extremely tasty . We both had starters and mains but couldn’t manage dessert . Despite being low season the restaurant was full - a clear sign of how popular it is. Will definitely be going back.

Excellent meals, we went twice during our 3 day visit to the town.
If we ever visit Sherringham again we know where we will be eating.

We are lucky to be able to visit Sheringham on a regular basis. We have visited No 10 several times and this visit was another example of great food served in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The starter was very tasty and the main of fillet steak melted like butter in your mouth. The cheesecake dessert was sublime. Love this place.

Called here yesterday, as we had decided to try the breakfast. So glad we did, it consisted of 2 bacon,2 sausages,2 eggs, 2 hash browns, grilled tomato, baked beans and toast, all for £8.50.
Everything was cooked well, tasted great, and the food was all hot.
We could have washed it down with a pint, as it was 10am, but on this occasion chose not to.
We will be bac

Great food, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. The perfect evening out. Wonderfully flavoursome dishes. We were bowled over by the macerated rhubarb and courgette salad. Sea bream also great, as was everything in fact.

I had the cod and chips. The fish was fresh, a fair size and, as all their fish, cooked to order they will also skin it on request. The chips were a decent portion and well cooked. All in all I can recommend them.

Review of The Lobster Inn

Been twice now since the refurbishment and being taken over, linked with The Crown, which we love. The decor is nice, staff are friendly. I’m looking forward to trying the Tipsy Afternoon Tea!

My husband and I drove from Peterborough to Sheringham purely for the fish and chips at the Sheringham Trawler and we were not disappointed.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing - so tasty and fresh!
Definitely worth the journey.

Beautiful B&B. Biggest and best decorated bedroom and bathroom we have ever encountered in any B&B! Scrupulously clean. A wonderful welcome from Andrew and James with home made cake, fresh milk and water in room along with beautiful crockery, glasses, tea and coffee along with coffee machine. Lovely breakfasts, beautifully cooked and served piping hot. No cold toast here as each table has its own toaster so you can cook it when you are ready.
Andrew and James have a wealth of knowledge about the local area and I would advise following their recommendations especially in regard to local restaurants.
Would love to visit again.
