The third-busiest airport in China, Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG) is the city's primary international airport. In 2014, about 51.7 million passengers traveled through the airport, which is located about 19 miles east of downtown Shanghai. The airport has three operating runways and two passenger terminals. Air China, China Eastern Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Spring Airlines and Yangtze River Express use PVG as a hub. In total, more than 85 airlines fly between Shanghai Pudong International Airport and almost 200 destinations across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Oceania and North America. Ground transportation options at PVG include the Shanghai Maglev Train, Shanghai Metro Line 2, buses, taxis, long-distance coaches and shared-ride shuttles.
