Dallas-based Southwest Airlines (IATA: WN; ICAO: SWA) is the world's largest low-cost carrier. Southwest operates non-stop flights to more than 100 destinations across 10 countries. Unlike many major airlines, Southwest does not use hubs, but rather a point-to-point system. About 15 airports with a significant amount of WN flights have been designated as focus cities. The airline's fleet is configured with just an Economy Class cabin. In contrast to many low-cost carriers, Southwest does not charge a fee for up to two checked bags; non-alcoholic drinks and pretzels or peanuts are also free on board. The quality of customer service has gone downhill dramatically. I have ridden on Southwest for decades and am at the point I will fly American instead. It may be more expensive, but the customer service is so much better. My husband even works for Southwest. Flying standby shouldn’t mean you get treated like crap since you’re not paying for the flight. Even though I have the option of standby through his job-no thanks. Now I would rather pay than deal with the extra BS and lack of empathy when flights are full/cancelled. A little compassion goes a long way Southwest!

Be careful when buying a wanna get away or wanna get away plus ticket. You will not get your money back if you cancel, your money will be stuck as a flight credit. Forcing customers to have make another reservation with them ( the only way to feel like the money is not wasted). Do more research into any very hidden restrictions that atleast to me were not made clear on the mobile website. I would suggest flying with another airline.

I arrived at the airport at 1:30pm for a 4:05pm flight. It is now 4:59pm and I’m still in line to check my bag, obviously missed my flight. This is unacceptable. I can’t understand what is wrong with your customer service. Total lack of empathy with the elderly. Line outside no complimentary nothing. Really bad experience. Will try my best to avoid booking with you in the future.

My luggage arrived damage, i filed claim and southwest just decided on its own to give me travel voucher (apparently, i can use this to buy a new luggage). This is their practice so you spend more money on them. I asked for a refund and only then they ask me for a receipt of it (either you kept receipt or not, they will NOT compensate you properly). They offered to pay me a meager $40 for a big luggage that currently sells for $95.99. Way to defraud people! Do NOT book with this airline! Very bad customer service, they give you a run around for what you deserve! Bad practice southwest! Bad!!

The flight departure time changed 3 times and ultimately depated 50 minutes later than the original time. Bullsh.... not happy with yhe repeated change and late departure. Now if they're able to make it up, I may change my opinion. Not happy

This is one of the Southwest attendants at Bagage claim. It was her Mangager (blond probably early 30s) who said she would not help and it was thier policy not to help passangers if the flight issues were due to weather. At least this girl looked up our bagage and confirmed it was in SLC.
