AVOID. I had a terrible experience with customer service upon losing my luggage. The KLM team assured me that I would receive my luggage the next day. I did not. It took a couple of days for the luggage to arrive and I had to purchase suitable attire for pre-made plans. The customer service team would not issue any voucher or reimbursement for the the inconvenience and money lost. In addition, any correspondence took about 2 weeks with their customer service team. I have been trying to resolve this issue since January 5th. Please find a different and more reliable airline to travel with. I will avoid them at all costs.

Shocking!!! Mediocre & Unacceptable Standards: A Very Very Dirty Flight - unclean and Used Refreshing Towel on my Seat.

I bounded a long haul KLM flight that had not been cleaned i.e. there as litter everywhere including (the WORST) a USED Refreshing Towel on my SEAT. As a loyal and frequent KLM client, I was beyond shocked at this discovery. In addition to the Used Refreshing Towel on my seat, there was dirt on the window, floor and adjacent area. It was evident the flight had not been cleaned - how could it be? The client who sat next to me was equally shocked at this discovery. This is a fully paid for flight. Why would clients' be treated this way - why? I have noticed mediocre and unacceptable standards in my KLM flights but this was the lowest I had ever witnessed and come across. It really is UNACCEPTABLE. Who did you expect to pick up/collect the USED and FILTHY Used Refreshing Towel? Who did you expect to sit on a seat that had dirt on it including the used refreshing towel? Why would KLM expect a paying client to seat on when clearly (and visibly) the seat, window and environs was filthy, unkempt for anyone to see. This is mediocrity, poor service, zero value for money, unprofessionalism and extremely unacceptable service. This experience left me extremely livid and disappointed. The poor service is visible in KLM. I DONT RECOMMEND KLM to anyone.

DISABILITIES: don't take KLM! I had reserved a wheelchair and it was fine when leaving the plane but at the end of the gangway, the employee had better things to do and he left me simply saying that another person would come! and obviously no one ever came! and after a while I walked again and it was terrible, I was crying in pain and the next day I was very sore and it will take weeks to stop the inflammation. KLM does not care about people with disabilities and I do not recommend this company. On the other hand, KLM can compete for the JUNKEST food in the airspace. What they serve is fatty, sweet, not tasty and dangerous for your health.

Poor service
Amsterdam - ZurichEurope
Really poor costumer service by flying blue/Klm. Mistakes in their administration that resulted in me loosing frequent flyer status are acknowledged, but not fixed. Many phone calls over 3 month period: many promises to fix but nothing happens…a waste of all the extra spending to keep up flying blue status. Flying today to Zurich, but will have to pay extra for luggage and seat due to their mistakes…

Pay attention!! A plane tickets cost us 350 EURO EXTRA!!!!

Bought 2 plane tickets by telephone from Amsterdam to Zanzibar six months before the actual flight in december 2024. This was because we specifically wanted a flight with a short transfer time of 1 1/2 hours. Everything paid immediately. A few days before the flight departs we receive the plane tickets with a transfer time of !!!9 hours!!! We called KLM directly. The employee said, No worries, you can book a hotel and declare the costs to us KLM, no problem. So this is what we did. We included the visa costs that we had to pay because we had to leave the airport grounds for a hotel. When we returned home we declared the costs to KLM. But we just received this answer: Unfortunately we cannot cover the costs you had to make, because the connecting flight was not operated by KLM. We booked tickets with KLM from Amsterdam to Zanzibar. So because KLM works with partners who are unreliable, customers have to suffer because of that? Take into account that there are many EXTRA COSTS when you fly with KLM. A plane tickets cost us 350 EURO EXTRA. I would also like to add that you hardly get any drinks or food on a flight of more than 9 hours. After 9 hours on the plane with a little water and 1 snack, no breakfast was served in the morning. Apparently things are going very badly for KLM! Shame on you!
