We travel every year and while it is no bad company to fly with, it is not family friendly. You need to be very cautious when flying with small kids.
While it is probably ok if you go with just one kid, we travel frequently with 1 adult and 3 kids. You need to be very careful especially if you booked a basic fare that has no seat selection.
Imagine you booked several thousand tickets to Dubai and at check in you realize that your 2 year old will be seated separately from you on a 14 hour flight. I bet you will just abandon flying in this case.
Like how 2 year olds, 8 y old and 10y olds can be separated from their parents on such a long flight.
They have a theoretical policy that they will try to seat kids under 13 with adults but it is not guaranteed and in practice what are the chances that they will have 4 open seats at check in?
Yes, close to zero and when I contacted them asking for complimentary seat selection sooner to avoid risk they said that the only option is to purchase the seats and indirectly confirmed that there is no guarantee that we will be able to seat with kids.
Interesting that if you travel with infants on laps they will allow you to choose seats for free.
If you travel with infants, infants are not getting any food during the flight. RIDICULOUS! it is 25% of adult fare and why not supply meals for infants. No normal or kids' meals, not even any other food! you literally will have to share your food with your 2yo kiddo on the 14h flight.
Again, overall no bad airline but their kids and family policies are typical lowcoster, they would never try to accommodate you, they are very strict on their policies and dont really care about you, what a shame.
Be prepared and you should be good.
