Had a window seat on the left side of this ATR; photographer’s dream. Short flight but very exciting particularly the landing with a narrow opening between a couple of ranges. Good service and even a beverage and snack was served. The earlier you check-in, the better chance you will get on the left side and maybe a window. Most people...

After flying Air India, we were totally surprised at the service that we received on Druk Air which is the Royal Bhutan Airlines and nation's international carrier. The planes were well appointed, the flight crew pleasant and accommodating and the food was excellent. We received a wonderful vegetarian meal with multiple courses on the tray including a roll, salad, cheeses...

Whilst the flight itself was okay, no inflight entertainment but the view of Everest made up for this, don't expect your luggage to arrive in one piece! Or to get proper compensation for any damage caused. We had a prop plane flying out to Paro from Kathmandu and all the luggage didn't fit in the hold so they piled it...

Small but clean airplane. Crew wears traditional dress and performs the security procedures the old way. Everyone is trying to sit on the left, for the spectacular landing view in between the mountain, you know, the Himalayas. Alas, there are only so many seat on the left side window. In flight magazine has a few interesting and useful information about...

The flight took off from Bangkok at 6 am. It's a small aircraft with single aisle and 3 seats on both sides. After a lovely cabin crew in Bhutanese costume had demonstrated the safety vest and procedure, hot simple breakfast (a choice of meat and vegetarian) was served. After about three hours of smooth flight, we're approaching Paro airport and...

I board the Druk Air flight at Gauhati (GAU). The Airbus 320 fly from Singapore to Paro with a short time stoppage at Gauhati. I got a right side window seat and the snow capped mountain view was spectacular. Their snacks was also good. Check in was smooth at Gauhati including the immigration. I was little sceptical about the landing...

the crew in this particular segment was way better than the return journey ... something to do with the crew mix. the flight attendants (one man and a woman) were both excellent in communication and service. i wish more service personnel are like them. thank you.

Reasonable airplanes, service and food. Can frequently change flight numbers (even after ticketing) and times - which is a bit disconcerting for tourists from the West. Tip: Flying into Bhutan get an ‘A’ window seat to get a great view of the Himalayan mountain range from the air including Mount Everest. Get a ‘F’ window seat flying out of Bhutan....
