I have flown with Air Berlin earlier but only short-haul routes. My first long-haul flight with this carrier was satisfying. Good choice of movies and TV programmes in IFE, edible meals. The seats are cramped a little but for this fare it was fine.

Flew Airberlin as code share with Etihad out of Syd via Abu Dhabi. Used AB a number of times and always found the service to be of a good level and standard and no difference on these occasions. Flight on A330, crew and service throughout very good, meals were quite good and a little better than Etihad and on par...

I was a little hesitant based on some of the reviews that I read - but this was by far the best flight I've ever been on. The check in was very easy and done well. The flight crew was very friendly and helpful. Food and drinks were served generously. We stopped in Berlin to change planes, again, all went...

1 - Check in: not nice lady screamed on us , because she had to repeat 2nd time (sorry, we didn't understand her English from 1st time) 2 - Waiting room for board - no rest room, no line for the bus (they use BUS for the boarding!!! Like in 1950-1970) - animal style (us usual in Eastern Europe). 3...

My final destination was Copenhagen. As there are no direct flights between Naples and Copenhagen, I chose this route with transfer in Berlin. Having used AirBerlin earlier, I thought it might be an adequate choice, and it was. The company sent me good information by e-mail well in advance of my flight, and followed up the day before departure with...

By now I do not expect much from airberlin anymore. They have cut services over the last year significantly. But I do expect basic information on flight delays. My flight was scheduled to leave at 4.50 pm. At 4.15 pm the gate attendant informed us that boarding will be delayed by 15 min. That was the last announcement. 10 min...

Fly them if you its a direct flight and saves you time, however the configuration in Business Class, lack of space, and comfort, actually make UA in business class a better choice. Seats were very narrow, no space to put things away, terrible stagnant air flow, and warm. One bathroom also is poor planning. Again for us flying from Miami...

We had a connection from American in Paris to airberlin; and it was a two hour window. Nonetheless, when we arrived in Vienna our luggage had not made the flight. We filed a report, got a phone number and email information on checking. Although there is another flight that day our luggage did not arrive. The following day we were...

I was pleased I chose to fly, rather than to take the train. Air Berlin uses a smaller prop jet aircraft on this route, which is over the Dolomites and the Austrian Alps, so the views are spectacular and you get to see so much more from 18,000 feet, rather than flying in a jet aircraft above the clouds. The...
