The Air Niugni Flight I took which was an aircraft Boeing 767-300 which had two rows of seat on either side and three rows of seats in the midde of two aisles of the plane. It was big and more spacious than the Qantas Plane Boeing 737-800 that I flew back in which had two rows of 3 seats on...

PX 98 Pom to cns Fokker 70 5pm to 6:30pm I was upgraded to business class for $120 US. The seats, however, were economy seats. The only difference between economy and business class was the meal. This is an outrage, and there is no way I will ever fly Air Niugini again. This upgrade was theft and deceit. So I...

PC 93 Impressed. Fokker 100. Business class hour and quarter travel. Nice lunch with ice cream. Decent Shiraz. Very friendly attendants that were helpful with acquiring visas at POM in immigration.

Arrived at international transfer to be told my flight number didn't exist anymore and I was flying the next day. As I was boarding a boat to go up the Sepik this wasn't going to happen. Was told to go to ticket sales where after 20 mins and the queue not moving I raced to the domestic terminal where I...

The waiting lounge at the Gurney Airport was very hot, as the air conditioner hasn’t been working for the past few years. To my surprise the flight was on time. It’s only a 50 minuses flight to Port Moresby.

They can be very fussy about the weight of your check-in baggage. I thought that I had fitted everything within 16kg, but the scale showed 17kg. To my surprise the staff said nothing but put a “Heavy” tag and noted it “20kg” without charging me for excess baggage. Then, the flight left half an hour earlier!

Business class was very spacious in their Boeing 767 aircraft. The economy cabin was almost full, but the business cabin was half-full. The customer service manager told me that it’s been like that always. It may be because many other business class passengers had already gone by the earlier Qantas flight. They served lunch with an entree, but the whole...

The airlines was good for a regional airline. The check-in was simple in Mt. Hagen, and the transfer to the international terminal in Port Moresby was good. The plane was clean and as expected. The flight attendants were good. In PNG, Air Niugini is your best choice.

If an airline is a way to show a country's face to the world, then PNG did a good job there. Excellent service on a 3.5 hour flight in business class. Modern cabin interior, reasonably comfortable seats, good entertainment system. In-flight meal well presented and of good quality. My flight was code share with Qantas, so I got my oneworld...
