Its primary hub is located at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU), just outside the capital city of Port Louis. The airline offers non-stop flights to Australia, China, France, Hong Kong, India, Kenya, Madagascar, Malaysia, Réunion, Singapore, South Africa and the United Kingdom. I recently traveled Air Mauritius to Rodrigues and had an awful experience. First of all, the flight was delayed by 1H30 even though the plane was here since 4 hours. Secondly they do not cater for veg people. You only have the option of a chicken sandwich. Thirdly they barely clean the plane. It’s smelly and disgusting with food stuck in the seats. The seatbelts were extremely loose and didn’t fit well. Do not fly MK

What a total shambles of an Airline Air Mauritius are. Customer Service is non existent. We paid a year in advance for Extra Leg Room seats on the Gatwick to Mauritius flight 15/5. This was canclled 18/4 and only found out by loging into Manage My Booking. No calls or e-mails. The proposed change of flight was for a day later but no Extra Leg Room seats. I called them on the number given to establish some facts and was advised I would receive a call 8am 19/4. That didn't happen and I was left with the help of my Travel Agent to find alternative suitable fligjts whoch we eventually got with BA in Premium Economy obviously at extra cost but so worth it just to get away from the uncertainty of everything Air Mauritius. Disgracefull customer Service with no regard to the customer whatsoever. Now left to claim back my £260 for the ELR seats. Wish me luck. My advice DO NOT USE AM.

Worst airline. Appalling. Delayed 26 hours outbound which culminated being kicked off the plane at Gatwick after a 7 hour delay at 12 midnight to stay overnight without our luggage and no idea when we’d fly until 12 the next day. The flight was arranged for 6pm the following day. 26 hour delay and arrived 2 days after we left our house. Customer service is like talking to a robot - utterly useless and frustrating. Flight home delayed 6 hours so we are flying with our kids at 3.30am. A flight time we would never choose. So that’s 32 hours in total. We’ve logged our complaint 2 weeks ago haven’t heard back. They ruined the first week of our holiday by arriving late, being utterly exhausted and causing a huge amount of stress. On the way back any relaxing we have managed has been ruined by this appalling run airline. ‘Technical issues’ they state on the way out and return causing the delays. Tin pot crap airline to avoid at ALL costs. Disgraceful in every respect. Supervisor at the airport was worse than useless. Computer says no and no authority to advise on anything. Avoid at all costs.

Out bound flight was Absolute Chaos. Plane changed, not enough business class seats on replacement aircraft, re-routed via LHR and Paris, then delayed 18 hours. Not the best way to start a holiday. Have flown with them many times pre covid with no major issues. They are nowhere near as good now.

The business class lounge would have to be the WORST business lounge I have ever stopped in. This is my 3rd time in 2 years and the food is crap every time. The decor and cleanliness is horrible! You pay so much money for absolute rubbish. I literally checked the temperature gage on the heat display this time it said ‘38?’ for the hot food and it’s stone cold. Im starving and waiting for my flight which boards in 3 hours. Air Mauritius needs to catch up with the rest of the world and for paying so much money surely they can serve hot food and invest in a Reno or good cleaning?! All the seats are stained , carpet dirty. Dust. Just such a disappointment over and over.
