Iceland Air has a long way to go in competing with other destinations and perhaps a lack of competition is part of the problem. The flight was okay. Not overly friendly or helpful staff but not necessarily rude either. Indifferent is the best description. Where the whole thing kind of falls apart is at the airport. Now in most cases...

Took a flight from JFK on June 14, via Reykjavik Keflavik Intl, on my way to Paris Charles De Gaulle Intl. Things were a bit confusing at the start, since I was traveling with companions. Apparently the plane was overbooked and they added another flight at the last moment - no notice, no warning. I was on one plane, my...

Fine flight to London with a connection in Iceland. Saw no differences between this carrier and other transatlantic carriers, with the exception of meal service. On Icelandair, you pay for meal service. But, no big deal as you don't need a meal. The flight to Iceland is around 5 hours. If you eat ahead of time, you'll be fine and...

They charge for everything on board. Worst of all they LOST MY LUGGAGE on June 20, 2018 and it is now July 19, 2018 and they still have not found it! No one will answer the phone. I have filled out numerous reports and I only get random emails. They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had to buy new clothes...

Overall I like Icelandair. Has kind of a Southwest airlines feel. Kids get a free meal, adults have to pay. There is entertainment in the seats. Overall everyone was friendly and we arrived about an hour ahead of schedule from Denver. Only took around 6.5 hours to get to Reykjavik.

The flight was very comfortable. The plane seemed to be new, the attendants were kind and there was a monitor in front of each seat. You could watch documentaries about Iceland, listen to different kinds of music, watch films in English and even soap operas. Time passed very quickly.

We chose Icelandair as it has a direct connection to Edmonton, unlike most other airlines who take much longer. The airport at Kevlavik has improved in the last year. Costs of flight have also risen considerably, so we may not use again!! The airline charges for meals on board. Boarding could be improved as everyone is allowed on at the...

Flying from Copenhagen to Seattle with stop over in Reykjavik I had the worst airline experience ever during the last 20 years of travelling. Departure from Copenhagen was delayed almost 1 hour, which meant very little time in Reykjavik to transfer to connecting flight to Seattle - also Icelandair. When arriving in Seattle our luggage did not show up, but...

IcelandAir offers a fast, relatively easy trip from Portland to Helsinki that takes just over 12 hours. The flight leaves in the afternoon. The long leg of the trip between PDX and Reykjavik goes faster if you can figure out a way to sleep. If you want food, order in advance through IcelandAir's website or buy something before you board....

Pro- inexpensive con- poor leg room, disinterested flight attendants, mishandling/lost baggage When paying lower prices for travel, you really can't expect wonderful service, however, my daughter flew out to join me on vacation and her baggage was lost. We reported this and got very disinterested service. When checking online, to track the bag, they didn't include a few key pieces...

“Check early on flight you actually booked. Will save some hair-pulling moments later. Also, baggage rules are a bit confusing.”
