If you fancy an American summer beach holiday then Ocean City in the state of Maryland may be just the ticket. Ocean City is a beach resort situated on the eastern coast of the United States and bills itself as the “White Marlin Capital of the World”. It’s popular with families, golfers, and anglers and the perfect way to appreciate all it has to offer is to hire a beach condo, so you can wake up to the sight of the Atlantic Ocean kissing the golden sands.

The more serious anglers, however, will want to go on a deep sea excursion in an attempt to land a real whopper. There’s also a big annual fishing competition every August, called the White Marlin Open, that sees big prizes on offer for anglers who catch the largest marlin, tuna, or shark!

Golfing enthusiasts who like the idea of playing seaside courses are spoilt for choice in Ocean City with 17 different courses on offer. Adding to the allure is the knowledge that some of these courses have been designed by some of the true greats of the game, such as Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player. Then after a quick tipple at the 19th hole, you can stroll down to the sea front to bask in the sunshine or enjoy a meal at one of Ocean City’s many great eateries. One that comes highly recommended is Phillips Crab House, where you can enjoy a buffet meal and their famous crab cakes.
