    Stunning detached old village house in a quiet position near to the church in Deia. Although we have recently renovated the house we have kept many original features, decorating with contemporary art and ceramics as well as distinctive furnishings and antiques in Moorish style. The roof terrace and artists studio overlook the village and have breathtaking views of the Teix mountains.

    From the house you can wander through the old village streets to all of Deia's famous restaurants and boutiques or take in the church where Robert Graves is buried at the top of the village where there are wonderful views to the sea. The beach is a delightful 20 minute walk through olive and orange groves or a 5 minute drive with easy parking.

    Our house is arranged over three storeys. On the top floor is an art/ yoga studio with a secluded sun terrace which has spectacular views. The ground floor features a sitting room with fireplace which opens into the dining hall which has the original stone floor and well. There is an ultra modern kitchen with small bar seating and access to a sunny garden terrace where you can dine beside a lemon tree and bougainvillea. The first floor has two large bedrooms with contemporary oak furniture and a spacious wet room which leads to another terrace ideal for sunny breakfasts.

Lovely house and Angela made the booking so easy - always willing to answer my many questions. Village is charming and though quite expensive, there are lots of restaurants to choose from and a great bar with live music and dancing at the end of the day. We didn't hire a car - local buses are cheap and reliable though... more

This is a really lovely village house which we have stayed in many times with our young daughter who is now 11 but was 5 or 6 on her first visit. The house is very charming, beautifully decorated & an extremely convenient location for walking into the excellent restaurants in Deia. Deia is not a village for those looking for... more

Stayed here in July/August 2013. Traditional Mallorcan house on 3 floors renovated to a high standard with 3 terraces and a great bathroom. I am very grateful for the review, the comments are accurate and helpful. I am not considering air conditioning as I make clear in the house details, as the property is several hundred years old and aesthetically it would ruin the appeal. Several fans and a judicious use of the internal window shutters can keep everything cool in high temperatures.... more
